[Open] It's a Winter Wonderland
WHO: Teddy, OTA
WHERE: Winter Planet
WHAT: Teddy's arrival, snowball fights, investigating the food.
WHEN: During the event, late January.
WARNINGS: N/A
a; arrival
Teddy has set a new record on how many times he can get kidnapped by aliens in a twenty-four hour period. Although, the Agrii are the first aliens who have abducted him that have neither tried to kill him nor pressure him into becoming their king. And...he really doesn't know what to do with that. In fact, he barely has time to come to terms with what he's even doing on their planet before being shipped off to another one.
This new planet looks like something out of a Christmas movie, if the movie was set during the Christmas off season. If it wasn't for the other ships lined up just outside the village, he would think the place has been abandoned. Still, it looks far more welcoming than the idea of standing out in the snow does. Teddy is not dressed for winter, clad only in a pair of dark pants and a close-fitting sleeveless top. And while he does feel the icy bite of the cold air against his skin, he doesn't appear to feel it as deeply as one would expect. If that doesn't do enough to make him stand out, he's also carrying a rather large sword with some kind of runic language carved into it.
He's a bit on guard as he enters the village, not sure what kind of reception to expect. He's still half-expecting someone or something to attack.
b; snow ball fight
Growing up in New York City has taught Teddy all of the numerous ways in which to take advantage of snow. From snow angels to snowmen he's skilled in the art of transforming snow into whatever he wants it to be. But there's nothing he enjoys better than rolling up the snow into a tightly packed ball and launching it at some poor unsuspecting target.
Not hard, of course. He would never use his real strength for something like that. But his aim is impeccable, especially when his target isn't expecting it. A snow ball glides through the air, bumping into a shoulder, or against a back, and crumbling apart into smaller clumps of snow. Teddy, grinning, can easily be spotted as the culprit.
"Why don't we put this snow to some good use?"
c; this food is questionable
Despite his few misadventures in space, Teddy has never been exposed to protein gel before. And the longer he's around it the more sure he is that he's never wanted to be exposed to it. But here he is. Staring mutinously at a somewhat cleverly disguised piece of protein gel in the shape of a steak.
"Has anyone tried asking what this stuff is made out of? 'Protein' is not a good enough answer. They have the power to abduct us from our worlds but can't manage to bring any real food along for the ride?"

But for him, he's spent less than an hour separated from Billy. It's not quite the same as what Billy must be feeling. "How long has it been? Since your arrival?"
no subject
"Sorry-"
no subject
"Hey, no. You have nothing to be sorry about. I'm sorry I couldn't get here sooner."
no subject
"Is it bad that I'm really happy you are? I tried so hard not to want them to take you, but I did- I missed you so bad..."
no subject
They have always worked best as a team, and from what he knows about their situation now, they're going to need some of that teamwork to get out of this.
The weight of his sword bumps against his side as he shifts his weight, a reminder that they have a bit more to talk about beyond just this place.
"Um. Right. So this...is a bit of a complicated story. I'm not sure how much I should give away. But it included space. And some Kree-Skrull hybrids. And I got this," he lifts the sword a bit,"because I'm apparently King of Space now. No big deal."
Absolutely not alarming or anything.
"So...what's up with this place? Why did the Agrii drop us on a snow planet?"
no subject
King of Space.
"...I'm sorry, what-?" he echoes finally, "How is that not a big deal?? That sounds like a super big deal. Like ALL space, or...?"
Oh, like you can just move on from that Teddy. "I- uh...I think they're trying to do Christmas or something. They don't have the best grasp on stuff."
no subject
Thinking of himself as royalty will never not be weird, but he can't say that he doesn't like this slightly better than the times when the Kree and Skrulls have tried to kill him.
"Christmas? So it's December here?"
no subject
"Wow, that's...how do you feel about all that?" Because that's what matter's most. If Teddy wants that life, Billy's behind him 100%. And if he wants nothing to do with it...well then it's a whole other group of Kree and Skrull to help protect Teddy from.
"I think so? Time's kind of...hard to track, it's a different day/night schedule than earth, longer. Vision was real good at tracking it, but..."
no subject
Or had it been more implied that he would help them when the time came? Either way. He knows he's going to have to deal with this all again in the future. But hopefully long after he deals with whatever this place is first.
"But? I don't like the sound of that but."
no subject
"He...disappeared. No one really knows what exactly that means. When I first got here he told me that the people who left went back home, so...that's what I like to think, but Wanda's here and- she's not our Wanda, but she's real upset. Same with Tommy. They got real close..."
no subject
"So they can just send people home at random? You would think the Agrii would want all hands on deck until their planet is restored. No one finds that a little bit weird?" Yeah, the idea of people returning homes sounds nice, and he genuinely hopes that they have. But something about it doesn't sit right.
no subject
Yeah, honestly, Billy's not so sure anymore. "Well, that's what Vision told me about the place they were before here...but Wanda asked the Agrii and they didn't seem sure what had happened to him." But Billy really wants to carry on believing he's back home where he belongs.
no subject
Well, that's not ominous or anything. "They don't know where he is? That's...beyond careless on their part."
