Who: Wanda Maximoff & you!
What: Exploration time
When: The first week
Where: Greenhouse, hospital, and the forest outskirts
Warnings: N/A, will edit if needed
I. The Greenhouse
[Close to dinnertime you might come across Wanda standing in the greenhouse staring thoughtfully out over the vegetation.]
We could make a soup, I think. If we had a fire and something to cook it in...it would be better than just eating raw vegetables.
II. The Hospital
[The canisters are already ruptured by the time she gets there. Hospitals have always made her uncomfortable, but it's better to take stock of what they have and what they might need now, before anyone needs it. And it would be good to have some idea of how necessary certain aspects of her powers might be and where she might try to explore and push them.
Except while she's exploring the halls, she starts feeling warm and light-headed, and a little bit claustrophobic. She knows whoever worked here is long gone, but the hallways feel cramped and sinister and finally Wanda decides that she can't take it anymore. She turns to start making her way out (going out a window would be quickest but she feels off) and the world lurches sideways. Wanda stumbles into the wall to brace herself and leans her forehead against it. It's nice and cool. She'd stay here for a while if it didn't feel so threatening...
...but it does, and so Wanda's stumbling down the hallways with a hand braced on the wall to steady herself. Just a little farther...]
III. closed to Vision
[They walk hand in hand, Thistle chirping happily at the chance to explore a more familiar environment. Wanda's hair is braided now, looped through itself to hold, and while she misses the feel of the wind (or her lover's fingers) in it, it's not worth how much trouble it would be to detangle it later.
She leans up to kiss Vision's cheek and squeezes his hand.]
Over there? [There's a small clearing around a large tree, and it looks like a nice place to have a talk. Wanda trots ahead to beat him to it and settles back against it between the roots.] Come here, love.
[He's been keeping her as comfortable as he possibly could, and it's time to return the favor.]
IV. wild card
[You know what to do.]

IV. wild card
[You know what to do.]

It's easier said than done, of course, but it's not doing either of them any favors to hang out here. ]
My head's spinning, and so is the room, but- Yeah.
[ He shakes his head once, hoping to dislodge some of the cobwebs. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't help. ]
Are you?
no subject
I've got you.
[She doesn't trust herself right now to pull him to her and not into a wall, but she can keep him upright. Single directions are fine.]
I was fine until a few minutes ago. Maybe something in the air? [Stupid, to think this place was safe. There's probably some sort of weird chemical leak, or something. Are they dying? Is this the first stage of some kind of poisoning? Grabbing Clint and juping out a window is starting to sound more and more like a good idea.] We need to get out of here.

[ He appreciates the help, because he definitely feels unsteady right now. It's not a feeling he particularly likes, because he's used to being grounded and stable. Anything else is unfamiliar and feels wrong. ]
Yeah, I think something's spreading. [ Actually, he knows it is. ] Did you see any of those strange canisters around here? That's what I think's causing it.
[ He's just glad his throat's not burning as badly as he was, although he'd probably take that over vertigo. ]
Don't need to tell me twice. I'll be right behind you.
[ Sort of. ]

[Look, her medically-associated panic attacks are rather infamous among the Avengers. She tries not to aggravate it - she came here to look for supplies, not make Vision or Clint or Natasha or Steve have to come take care of her.]
We just...need to get...some air.
[This air is starting to feel heavy and like it's not actually helping. As much as Wanda's body wants to lay down and take a break, she knows she can't. They have to escape first.]

[ The jab at himself is just an attempt to break some of the tension, but it feels like it falls a little flat. She still got herself exposed, but without a way to filter the air, everyone's in danger of inhaling whatever's spreading around. ]
Yeah. Might have to break a window or something.
[ Because if he remembers correctly, the exit is still a fair distance away, and the longer they stay here, the greater the temptation to just lie down becomes. ]
Think you're up for that?
no subject
But I don't feel right. I don't know if I could catch us. What if I couldn't?
[Her powers are holding up for now, but she's always been a bit of a glass canon. And she's not sure the fall wouldn't be fatal.
(That awful lingering sense of dread is pretty sure it would be.)
Panic is starting to set in.]
I don't want you to get hurt.
no subject
What if we both jump one at a time and I catch you? It can't be that far down, right? Maybe you can at least slow yourself down so you don't come down so hard.
[ He's just deciding to not think about how, the last time he jumped off a building, he had one of his grappling hook arrows to catch him. And he doesn't yet know the distance from where they are to the ground. ]
I don't want you getting hurt either.
no subject
[She could probably fix that. But what if she healed him wrong? Or what if he landed very badly and didn't survive the fall? Or--]
We're too high up. I can pull you with me if you need me to, but we need to get lower.
no subject
[ He does sound more confident than he feels, but he's not going to voice that thought right now. ]
Fine, let's get lower, then. We're not doing ourselves any favors staying here.
[ He takes a few experimental steps forward, as if testing whether or not he'll fall flat on his face. He manages to stay on his feet, however, so he interprets that as a good sign. ]
You good to keep moving?
no subject
I can handle it. I just need the wall.
[And she'll drag them if she has to; she's just not sure how well that work in this state. She might accidentally bump Clint into things.]
Just tell me if you start to feel worse.
no subject
You got it, and you're gonna do the same, right? This thing goes both ways. We have to look out for each other.
