Let it snow!
WHO: Lance and you!
WHERE: Starduck, wintery planet
WHAT: Snowy shenanigans as an adult and kid!
WHEN: January
[A - Starduck]
[Throughout the duration of the trip, Lance isn't exactly in the highest of spirits. Maybe he's overly clingy at times, but damnit, he hates being separated from his boyfriend with no way to get to him and no concrete idea of when they'll be reunited. It sucked last time and it sucks this time.
Though he's definitely not as cheery as he usually tries to be, he's. Well. Decent enough. A lot of the time, he'll be sitting about cuddling with his pet otter, visiting his cow in the cargo hold, or aimlessly pacing through the ship. Doing some working out in any space that seems open enough.
He isn't being antisocial, however, so he'll be perfectly fine with talking to anyone who approaches him.]
[B - Village]
[To be completely honest, he's pretty surprised at how beautiful and peaceful this place is. Agra 10 isn't exactly known for its gorgeous sights or comfortable living. Coming to a world such as this reminds him of how things were back on the Fleet, and he can't help the wave of nostalgia, all too bittersweet.
Lance loves the snow. Growing up in Cuba and going to school in the southwest of the United States, a cold winter wasn't something he'd really ever experienced. Once, he'd been on a vacation with his family to New York, and he'd seen snow for the first time. It was breathtaking, but he only ever saw it again in colder planets in space.
Even if he's chilled, he's having the time of his life exploring the village. Lance goes from shop to shop, picking up candies and food that seems all too familiar to him (if not quite there). There's clothing as well that resembles some from Earth, so he picks up a warm blue sweater. He fawns over the beauty of the candles. Care to join him?]
[C - Candies]
[Lance is no stranger to having strange things happen to himself as if magic. Back on the Fleet, he'd once turned into a mermaid, for quiznak's sake. And he'd turned into a child on at least one occasion if not more.
It looks as if it's repeat time now, after scarfing down a chocolate candy. A preteen Lance now is wandering about, incredibly confused as to where he is and what's going on. His clothing is too big for him, and he's got his belt tied tight around his waist to keep his jeans on, though they drag past his feet a few inches. While he's not swimming in his coat, it's definitely oversized on his smaller body.
He tries to tell himself he's not scared, but honestly, he is. The last thing he remembers is going to sleep after a cram session for his exam the next day. Was he kidnapped from his dorm? Where's Hunk? How could he even get kidnapped in the Garrison? He thought the place was safe!
Shivering, Lance holds his jacket closed further. There has to be some way to figure out what's happening.]
[D - Forever Young]
[By now, Lance has gotten somewhat settled into being a kid again. Or rather, just his normal age, as far as his mind is concerned. He's gotten a new set of clothes that fit him, he's a tiny less lost and confused, but he's still baffled as to everything going on. Maybe it's just some weird dream. Yeah. Probably.
For now he supposes that he may as well have fun. He goes through the town, trying candies, but finds himself weirdly adverse to the chocolate ones (strange, since he loves chocolate). The candles are pretty, and the snow...
Yep, he's loving the snow. Lance is delighting in making snow angels, getting in snowball fights, and building snowmen. He'd be happy to play with someone else!]
[E - Wildcard]
[Anything else! I'm willing to do whatever with Lance, adult or child, so hit me up. You can hmu at
relika if you want to plot things out.]

He's out making another snowman again when he spots the other boy and... Boy does he look like he's suffering in the cold.
Leaving his work on his snowman, he jogs over to the other kid, raising a hand on greeting- children like himself are a lot less intimidating than most of the adults.] Hey! Are you okay? You kinda look like you're freezing...
no subject
You--purple--?
[Okay, he realizes he's being rude, but holy crow this kid is purple. That is not normal. Still, he nods.]
Um, y-yeah. I'm...not sure what's going on, but my clothes are too big, and...
no subject
And... That's not really the point here, is it?]
A lot of us kids dunno why we're here. Me too. The adults around are real nice though.
[Also not really the point.
The point is...] It's warmer inside. Want to go together? There's food too, if you're hungry.
no subject
And he's not a kid, darnit, he's practically 14! Even so.]
Sure, yeah, that sounds good. I'm pretty hungry, and it is super cold.
no subject
[Csilla is an ice world, after all, and as far as Altair knows, that's where the Chiss species originates from. He could be wrong, of course. Maybe they all moved planets.
Humans though, humans don't adapt to this so easily.
He holds his hand out then, for Lance to hold onto- he's used to sticking to other kids, being managed, and helping to manage. This isn't that different.] Come on. Sooner we get you somewhere warm, the better, right?
no subject
[With dreams of going into space, Lance knew that he had to somehow inevitably one day meet an alien. He just didn't know that day would come this early. Lance nods, moving to take the other boy's hand.]
Yeah, sounds good. I'm not really used to the cold weather, honestly.
no subject
[Though he'd had many unusual experiences here. So he supposes this is just another one for the books. Still, in his experience, most aliens like himself would kill for the chance to be a human. Humans were common after all, more privileged.
Nothing he needs to say.
He leads him along to where he knows there's warmth and food.] Is the planet you come from warm? Or is it a planet that has a lot of different seasons? This is the first time I've ever left the planet I was born on, so I don't know a whole lot about all the different places around the galaxy.
no subject
[It's incredible, really. The Garrison would go absolutely bananas if they found out Lance had met a real life alien. Then again...as he said, they probably wouldn't believe him. Especially him in particular, the jokester.
He continues to follow.]
Lots of different seasons, yeah. Where I grew up, it was warm all year round. And where I'm going to school right now, the winters are pretty mild, honestly. But other places get all four seasons, and in some places, it feels like winter aaaall year. I don't know if I'd be able to handle that.
no subject
[He listens as the other boy explains about his planet and the changing seasons. It sounds nice.] The place I'm from is like that. It's cold and kinda dark and gray... There's snow, but not like this... It's more... I dunno, it just gathers in corners, but the streets are icy and the wind's super cold. It's kinda awful.
[Probably less awful for people living in better conditions, but still.] My dream is to leave it someday. Go somewhere nicer, with flowers and stuff. I'm gonna start a shop.
[It's his dream.] Are there flowers where you're from... Um...
[He stops, turns his head, and wrinkles his nose as he thinks.] What's your name, anyway?
no subject
[Little does kiddo Lance know...]
That really is pretty awful. I'd totally wilt in weather like that. This is bad enough, even if the snow is really pretty. Your dream sounds amazing, though! I hope it works out for you.
[Nodnod.]
Yeah, there are, but not a ton where I go to school. It's a desert, so the best you get most of the time are cactuses. ...Cactii? Whatever the plural of cactus is. Anyway. The name's Lance. What's yours?
no subject
[Despite being young, Altair knows a lot about that kind of stuff, just from listening in on conversations in the settlement. The people on Lance's planet are lucky that nothing nasty has come over their planet yet.
The talk of flowers is a more pleasant subject and he definitely becomes more animated and looks happier.]
I haven't seen any of those before! I bet they can be nice too! Honestly I'd do anything to see a flower with a color other than gray!
[Ziost isn't big on flowers.] I want to see flowers of every color there is, one day! And my name's Altair!
As Lance's last canon point was Earth getting invaded by evil aliens.....
D
Which, honestly, baffled him a bit more than one might think, too. After all, he'd been at the Garrison. How could he have been taken from there? He'd been wandering town for a bit, even after finding better clothes that fit, hoping to spot Shiro... or even Adam at this point.]
no subject
...until now. His eyes catch sight of an all too familiar hairstyle across the street, attached to an all too familiar boy. Lance's eyes widen, and before he realizes what he's doing, he's immediately running over.]
Keith???
no subject
Oh... Oh, great. Him.]
Yeah. What about it?
[Yes, he had promised Shiro he would do his best to avoid more fights, but that didn't mean he had to be nice all the time.]
no subject
You're stuck here too?
no subject
[Sarcasm much? But right to business...]
Did you see who took us?
no subject
[Huff.]
No. I don't know how I even got here.
no subject
[Keith glared.]
Great. Of course, you wouldn't have.
[He crossed his arms against the cold, almost hesitating a little at asking the next question, but it was really bothering him, so he finally just came out with it.]
Did they... change your clothes, too?
no subject
[He's really, really not amused, Keith. Lance doesn't need your sass in a situation like this. Or ever, really.]
Yeah, looks it. I'm not wearing the same stuff I last remember wearing. I woke up in stuff that was too big on me.
no subject
[Keith's tone was flat and snappish. He crossed his arms. But Lance's next statement confirmed a few worries and started a few fears.]
So... they took us... and changed our clothes... while we were unconscious... [The orphan's brain was going to some very not-nice places right now. And it was starting to show through his angry mask.] We have no idea where we are or how we got here. There's weird spaceships over there, and stupid little cabins over there... [No... this was definitely bad.]
You don't think we've been abducted by aliens, do you?
[Which, honestly, was better than some of the other ideas his head was getting... like pedophiles and human traffickers.]
no subject
Tch. ...but honestly, I'm definitely thinking aliens. It's the only real answer to this all.

His hood is down while on the ship and if he's going to gain trust of others he'll probably be seen with it down for the duration of his stay here. Not wanting to seem as if he'll constantly conceal his identity. There's no real reason for it here until he has to play a part for it. He sees someone else pacing the hallway and gives a nod followed with a small friendly wave. ]
Having a hard time staying in one place too?
no subject
Yeah, basically. I was used to being on a spaceship a lot of the time back home, but it was a castle sized space ship. And, well, even back on the Fleet, I was on a ship like this...but I wasn't stuck on it, apart from my friends.
[Right now, he's moping about one in particular, but such is a lovelorn man.]
no subject
It appears that there's a lot of people familiar with space. [ There's a small shrug since he'll adapt and learn more. But it is an observation for a moment of who he's been meeting with. ] Being away from anyone can make you realize how much you miss them. Hopefully, we'll be back with them as soon as we land.
[ A small pause while a small smile forms on his lips. ] I go by Crystal Exarch, I do not believe we've come to introductions before this.
no subject
[He will, okay!]
Crystal Exarch? Do you want me to use the whole name, or can I shorten it to one word or another? ['Cause it's a bit of a mouthful.] As for me, the name's Lance. It's good to properly meet you.
