[The video is brief, but does it ever paint a picture. One of the rooms in the hospital meant for seeing patients is... An absolute mess. Is that blood on the floor? Bits of styrofoam scattered about, cabinets opened, and all in all the place looks messed up.

Throughout the slow pan through the room there's the punctuating sound of a sharp and heavy shoe tapping against the floor in an impatient rhythm.]

Alright. Who the fuck made this mess? Because you owe me cleaning services. Or a bribe to look the other way. And probably a vodka martini.

Seriously, I will stress to everyone that hospitals need to be clean to ensure maximum safety for the health of patients. It's right up there with, and I can't believe how many times I've had to say this no smoking!

I swear, you're all going to give me an aneurysm. And then you'll all have to see Albert for your medical care while my little pup tries to get me back on my feet.

"Your amnesia. Muscle memory remains."

Link nods. From his experience, this makes sense.

"I could fight, when I woke up."

He wasn't very strong. He was frailer, then. Wore out so much quicker, couldn't take nearly so many hits. But the movements, the motions of how to fight - that had all been there, right from the beginning.

"That can make sense. I understand that people that fight do a lot of training so their bodies react before their minds."

So it would make sense.

Link nods. Yes, that's exactly right.

"Can't wait to react," he says. Waiting in those kinds of moments could be fatal. "Needs to be instinct."

Sounds about right.

"At least it's something to start you into learning your life again?"

Link hums softly. He supposes if he didn't have muscle-memory and unconscious knowledge to guide him, everything else would have been so much more difficult. But he can't really learn his old life again, because that life is gone. It's not coming back.

Apart from the few pieces of it that still remain, that is.

"Zelda's here now," he says, suddenly.

Zelda...

"The girl in your memories? She can help you then."

Link nods.

He certainly hoped that she could help. Though he also just...was glad she was here. He'd missed her - even if it really hadn't been that long at all, since they'd defeated the Calamity.

"I'd like to meet her, if at all possible," Tae decides. Wouldn't hurt to get to know someone else of Link's species, to maybe learn how to better take care of him if he gets hurt. She might know things Link doesn't.

Link nods. Of course Tae will want to meet Zelda - who wouldn't?

And Zelda, well. She was curious about everything. She would have countless questions about the hospital and Tae's medical knowledge, Link was sure.

Who wouldn't indeed.

"We'll have to do it sometime when this place isn't such a mess. We're in no condition to receive casual visitors," she sighs as she moves her mop to the corner. "I think I need a tea break."

"Tea?" Link says, head tilted to one side.

Tea, as it turns out, isn't a recipe he's learned yet.

"Yes," she says as she moves out into the hall. Time to go to the break room where her kettle is. "I have a lovely green I replicated last month."

One of her few things for herself.

Link has no idea what tea even is, let alone what green tea is.

But he is, of course, curious to learn - so naturally he follows Tae along to her break room.

Once in the break room she flips on the control on the kettle of water and then gets out her package of tea leaves.

"It's a nice rich one, good earthy notes."

Link takes note: hot water, for this recipe. And leaves from a plant he does not recognise. He peers closer, wanting to get a better look at it.

"You cook them?" he asks.

"Sort of. The heat interacts with the dried leaves. The proper term is 'steeping'. The flavors of the leaves, or other things in the mixture like dried fruit, flower petals, bits of nuts, all sorts of things, flow into the water. Then you drink it. Usually warm."

She was not a fan of cold teas.

Link nods, committing all of this to memory. And immediately, his knowledge of the Agriculture Datapoint is already suggesting ways he could do something similar.

"...Could make from local plants."

“Yes. The mint is very good here, though I don’t bring that in. There is a young man apparently allergic to it.”

And she was going to avoid a major allergen like that.

"There is?" Link says, frowning. He hadn't realised.

...He might have to avoid using mint when he's cooking things at the diner, and leaving them for others to eat.

"Yes, I'm given to understand it," she agrees. So less mint medicines.

"I should make ingredient lists for medications I suppose. So people know what is in them so they don't take things they are sure they will be allergic to. But medicine is always a risk, unfortunately."

Link blinks at her. Medicine was always a risk?

He didn't see how. He'd always been fine, regardless of what he was taking. But nevermind that.

"You need help with ingredients?" If it was something that could be found around Temba and Sh'Ka, Link could go looking for them.

Yes, there are always chances that things can go wrong.

"I might, another day. It's going to take time to research local plants for their viability for medication."

But the thing is that since she doesn't have the agricultural datapoint she can't just make some of the things it gave as advice.

"You can get the Agriculture datapoint," Link says - and probably telling her what she already knows. But he know from personal experience just how much it could help.

"The datapoint I have is useful as well, and I need to make use of it."
