[Calibrations] Another Room Of Memories
WHO: Reeve Tuesti, OTA
WHERE: Reeve’s Calibration Room
WHAT: Calibrations Experiences
WHEN: June 10th to July 10th
WARNINGS: CW: Reeve’s Calibration room contains memories that reference a shooting assassination attempt, general gun violence, and the kidnapping of a child. Any item which might fit a trigger warning will have strike through text with the appropriate warning listed after it.
Welcome, dreamer, to the museum. Awaken as you will seated on a well padded bench, placed in the middle of an exhibit room. Glass cases line the walls with all sorts of artifacts and metal plaques labeling them. And amid it all is Reeve in a suit, pacing and looking very upset.
"What is this supposed to be, an homage to Rupert's damn foolish little self praising museum in the building? I'm not so conceited as to want something like this!"
This, of course, being some form of 'the greatest hits' of his life, most of which were behind glass. There was the model of Midgar, hung on its side on a wall. Nearby there's a case that holds a small human-like figure made of straw. In another case one might even see a strange stone with dark lines on it that almost radiates a sense of foreboding.
The things that aren't behind glass or hung out of reach are rare, scattered around like little treats for people to inspect. On a mannequin in the corner is a long blue coatcw: attempted shooting assassination that people might have seen him wear before on Agra-10. It's label reads 'Coat of Director Reeve Tuesti of the WRO. Near that is a suit similar to the one Reeve wears now, this one dirty, torn, and with evidence of some blood and burns on it.
Another corner seems dedicated to Cait Sith, showcasing a large white form with purple wings, upon which sits a black and white cat. Together the two stand an four feet tall, and they are definitely strange. Next to them stands a highly detailed model of a bipedal cat.
A different corner of the room seems dedicated to Reeve's companions, with a variety of weapons serving to memorialize them. The only open case there involves a long battle staff, in front of which is a vase filled with yellow lilies wrapped with a pink ribboncw: referenced child kidnapping. This one Reeve moves to, considering with a sad and pensive expression.
"If anyone deserves a museum to their efforts, it's her. It was always her."
The final section of the room seems dedicated to what might be charitably called trophies. A massive sword longer than Reeve is tall, a strange shot gun, black armor, and even a strange helmetcw: general gun violence with glowing accents.
"I think I'd rather not be remembered if what is in here is deemed to be my 'greatest hits'."
[OOC: The secret to getting out of Reeve's room before the 'time out' point is to watch two memories, or to have a serious conversation with Reeve and then going out through the sealed door labeled 'Post WRO Wing' together. If there is a specific memory vibe you'd like message me and something special can be arranged.]

"Do you really believe that though? Some people just suck."

"That was wielded by a man named Sephiroth. He was a war hero when he was young. He tried to end the world when he was older. Both hero and villain. While he will be remembered for the villainy, there are still things he did to make the world better, or what some people thought were better."
cw animal death mention
This sounds overly complicated to Daniel, and not in a dismissive child-getting-bored-with-difficult-stuff way, in a way that feels aimless.
"And how do you know when something is the right thing to do?"
He's never asked his big brother Sean, but it looked that whatever he did, he did coming from an innate sense of justice that Daniel isn't sure he possesses as well. He didn't mind breaking that puma's neck out of anger, that one time, and he knows he has more violence left in him.

HE has to sigh. It's a very hard question indeed.
"The rule I have tried to follow is 'what hurts the least amount of people, both figured in the short and long run' is what is right. But that's very hard to figure out. Things you do to protect other people from immediate harm can also be, more often than not, a good thing. The best thing we can do is our best and then accept that sometimes we will get it wrong and we need to do better."

Then again, there are also accidents. The explosions that follow him evrywhere seem to prove this statement.

IT was the sort of conflict that Reeve had felt so truly and deeply. He had suffered for it too. His mistakes were always around him.
"It's so impossible to figure out. But you try every day to try and be better with each choice."

Daniel sits down on the floor and starts fidgeting awkwardly.
"So uhh, what are we meant to do in here?"
no subject
There are other ways out. That doesn't mean he knows them.

THat's just how it goes. Though it is just a boy. So Reeve turns and considers.
"Probably not the helmet or coat."

He comments as he points towards the bipedal cat model.
