WHO: Thrawn and you?
WHERE: Event planet
WHAT: Winter shenanigans
WHEN: catch-all for January
WARNINGS: None anticipated
Village
Thrawn found the dwellings interesting; the substrate alone was remarkable. It even had a scent. He was already wary of eating anything that was on display and when there seemed to be more children among the others than there were before his caution was made practical.
Beings that were endothermic, as most humans are, may have been drawn inside so they could be nearer to the fire. But Thrawn was not. His idea of snow was a hazardous element that could blot out the senses so an unaware traveler could die from exposure half a meter from his shelter because in the driving snow he had not seen it. This softly falling rain of feathery white was new to him. Though he stood amidst the falling snow there was no steam from released breath. He also wore no extra layers in concession to the colder temperature. He simply stood with his hands clasped behind his back and head tilted to watch the silent rain of white.
Nativity Barn
...well this was mysterious. There were decorative packages that were all arranged together next to a mural. But judging from what others found when opening said packages they were made for another species entirely. One with four arms. Frowning at the word 'Thranda' woven into the garment Thrawn thought that the makers of these garments had misspelled his core name. Although why said makers would put his core name on a garment at all was a somewhat disquieting thought.

Village
Being a Joiner has made him only slightly better at withstanding extreme temperatures, therefor he'd managed to get himself some warmer clothing for his walk around the village. All the while, he held his hand out to catch snowflakes on occassion, or just tilted his head up to catch them on his cheeks.
It wasn't hard to spot the alien, and Vector took a moment to just study the Chiss, and his aura. He politely addressed the alien, "We greet you, sir."

He listened, then without turning his head to reply politely but aloof;
"Greetings."
no subject
"We don't believe we've introduced ourselves. We are Vector Hyllus."
no subject
"I greet you, Vector Hyllus. You may call me 'Thrawn'."
He had long ago grown used to others using only his core name.

Eli hadn't mentioned that Thrawn was a Chiss. Vector got to work with the Chiss sometimes back when he worked in diplomacy, so he can make an educated guess that 'Thrawn' is the man's core name. Many humans never bothered to make an effort to actually learn how to pronounce full Chiss names, or if they did, they still never entirely pronounced them correctly.
Thrawn's aura is interesting. It's a very cool color, not entirely surprising for a Chiss.
