Hey!

So um, I got a bit of a problem. All this rain is topping off the tank here so some of my aquarium's escaping. I need some people to help wrangle up some fish and whatnot.

Bonus points if you can rig something to keep 'em from slipping out over the roof, we don't need any giant amphibians and stuff falling on people's heads.

But Cayde, you ask, what do I get out of it? Aside from my love and appreciation, well, I'm sure we can work something out.

but if they eat all my show creatures then itll be boring to look out the windows!

I think it's debatable that anything in there is technically a fish. We have to keep open minded about our culinary options.

You could go out there and put on a show.

fair enough but im not encouraging people to fish on a regular basis here when theres a perfectly good lake to the west

rains are probably what made this whole space so its not changing too much just offering an accidental escape option for the little guys who go up top

I'd be fine with taking my payment in spare fish, if you don't mind. I like spider well enough, but it's getting kind of old.

Oh, nope, haven't gotten any suggestions on that front yet! I have not seen much by way of fencing lying around but maybe Tony can draw up some wire or... I don't know. I guess so long as there's something fencelike it might work?

Fish payment sounds more than reasonable, I have plenty!

I'm not an engineer or anything, but it sounds like you need a spillway. Otherwise it'll just keep overflowing everywhere, and washing all the contents out.

So you got to let the water drain in a more controlled way, but block the fish from falling out with some kind of mesh... You'll have to open a gap in the structure, though.

Luckily we have at least one engineer, but I'm not sure we'll have the time for something fancy.

Maybe more temporary, at least until this rainy season lets up, and then we can install something better once we have solid plans and materials.

Oh nice! I mean, I'm pretty sure I could work up to putting a hole in something, if need be, but I'm really not great with construction Telenoia.

And it's been a long time since utilities class. But I can help pick up the fallen stock, if nothing else. Where's your thing?

[Quintet shows up fairly quickly— it's not a long walk, really. The building is... tall, but she's quick on her feet, and the promise of a change of food is very motivating. There is a cat in the Deep End, presently, leaping up onto the bar in that abrupt, nearly-miraculous way that cats have of seemingly teleporting into place.]

Hey. You're Cayde, right?

[And she talks! Isn't that neat.]

[Cayde pauses from his sketching, staring at the cat for a moment before he shrugs. Okay, another talking cat. Sure, why not. Explains the fish at least.

He grins.]

Yep! That's me! And who do I have the pleasure of speaking with? Call me old-fashioned but I prefer introductions in person.

[Woah. You have got a scent, dude. What the heck is that? That's so weird. Wait, she's being rude; nevermind about all that.]

I can see why you're worried about the fish.

[The tank is... large. Much bigger than she remembers— or maybe it just seems bigger from underneath, like this.]

Eh, not particularly worried. This place has held upon its own but I haven't seen this much rain during a given month since I've been here.
