NETWORK | VIDEO
[The message starts off with nothing but darkness for a few long seconds. It's quiet and still until, finally, a groan comes through. Another one follows behind it and the video shifts to show it apparently just pressed into the dirt.]
Fuck...
[The video turns again, whipping around as the person holding the comm seems to drop it a few times before finally righting it, camera facing the wrong way.]
How does...fucking... Shit...
[It falls again but then is lifted back up, turned around, and at long last the owner is shown: Richie Tozier squints at the device almost like he's in pain. Which...yeah. Sort of.]
Uh... Hey everyone... [He scratches his head.] You ever get the feeling like you missed something? Or a few somethings?

You're attractive enough yourself, Richie. Though I argue I'm not funny.
[Mini comes over and puts the coffees on the table. Reeve pats his head and lets the construct go off.]
You sell yourself short too.
no subject
[He smiles though, conceding more to just make sure this doesn't become some sort of compliment fight.]
Thanks, though. I appreciate it, Reeve. If a miracle happens and someone comes by that either of us fall for, we can be each other's wingmen.
no subject
Well, we should continue on. So I should speak of the blizzard.
[And he sips at the coffee.]
no subject
A blizzard? What the fuck? How bad was it?
no subject
[He learned more about York than was polite.]
no subject
Jon wasn't involved, was he?
no subject
[Richie, pack up your biases please.]
no subject
Just asking. Secrets and all, you know.
[ Richie takes another long drink and sighs. ] I'm glad I missed out on secret hour. That sounds like shit.
no subject
[He sighs at that, shaking his head. It had been so much.]
Other than that I think it's been relatively peaceful. Though you know me. I don't get out much because of my projects.
no subject
Yeah, well. I am back now, Reeve-s Witherspoon. We're gonna get you out a little more, pal. It will be better for both of us to not just stay locked up even if yours are productive and mine are...not.
no subject
[Mini, who had of course spoken, nodded at Richie in approval.]
Don't give him more allies. I do my best, and I like being busy. It's better than... feeling useles.
no subject
[ Richie gives Mini a little thumbs up. ]
I'll tell you the plan, Mini. We'll get him out and and about. He can't fight us both.
no subject
Wonderful. Teamed up against. And with Mini and York now getting along it's only going to be worse.
no subject
[ Richie beams and gives Reeve a nice punch in the arm. This is gonna be fun, he can tell already. ]
Maybe I can recruit Eddie, too. You met him? Great kid. Reminds me of me at his age.
no subject
This is going to be like when Stephanie and Brigitte chose to adopt me, isn't it?
[The girls had insisted on coming over to his place in the Iteration to make sure he wasn't working all day, to give him meals, to chide him off to bed.]
no subject
[ Richie wiggles his eyebrows, clearly never going to give this up. Not when it is so entertaining. ]
no subject
More like they adopted me as a foolish uncle. Dear lord I would never see them like that.
no subject
[ He pauses a second and then smiles. ]
But there was totally an orgy. Or almost-orgy. I'd bet my glasses.
no subject
Absolutely not. If Alistair and Di Vinci had asked I would have, but not the girls. They were family.
no subject
FINALLY! I knew you could let loose and have fun. Now. Di Vinci... Are we talking about the painter, the turtle, or something else?
no subject
[But this is ancient history Richie!]
no subject
[ Richie pauses and thinks a second, face scrunched as something hits him. ]
Huh. Did you notice that like. The percentage of gay people here and whatever is super way high? I'm kind of jealous my universe isn't like that.
no subject
[It wasn't even his universe, and Reeve hadn't quite known what to do with him.]
Is it? Intriguing. And also useful, given how few women there are.
[They were unlucky like that.]
no subject
Yeah, I guess that is true. Could you imagine if everyone was fighting over like the same two girls? That would be insane.
no subject
[Which, after the few that had been here, Reeve found as a relief.]
