WHO: Peter and Open
WHERE: Diner
WHAT: Peter got kinda wrecked.
WHEN: After Ah! Real Monsters
WARNINGS: injured fifteen year old.
1. Backdated to the Day of | A rough first day back | Diner
Thankfully, whatever that was, is over now but Peter's not feeling... great. He's upset about his webfluid even though he knew it would run out eventually and he's really sore. Getting slammed through and into a wall will do that to a person.
He's sore all over and his ears are still ringing. He's also pretty sure he's got a bruised a rib or two but another few hours and that should heal up just fine. After the fight he drags himself to the diner because he's gonna need a lot of energy to keep his healing factor-thing working and this is the best place to get food at the moment. Except that he's not particularly hungry.
Really, he just wants to curl up and sleep. He should eat, he knows he should but that just sounds like so much work and his head is killing him. Sorry Tommy, he's gonna lay his head down on the table and catch a few z's before he does anything else today.
2. A few days after the Monsters | Webfluid 4.0 | Whale Comb Sent Her - Network Post
It's been a few days and Peter is mostly healed over. His ribs are still a little sore so maybe cracked them rather than just bruised them. That's not gonna stop him though, he needs to get more web fluid and fast
Peter's used some of his tokens to get a few chemicals he'll need to make his webbing. The biggest problem is that he can't very accurately measure out what he's doing and also he's limited on supplies. If this doesn't work then he's gonna be out more fluid until next month.
He also doesn't have anything to write his measurements down with. Maybe this was a terrible idea. He looks around the Whale Comb Sent her and lets out a breath. This probably isn't the best place for this anyway. He pulls his communicator out and checks to see if he has any messages before switching it to video.

[ the feed snaps on and Peter is wearing a brand new shirt. He's still looking a little tired but if anyone saw him after the monster fight well, he looks much better then he did then. ]
Hey guys. I need to make more web fluid but I don't really know where to do that? I just need like a flat table and does anyone have like test tubes I could borrow?
long story short - I'm completely out and that's not gonna be good for the next time I get thrown into a monster fight. So, if anyone wants to volunteer a room that'd be awesome.

Of course his timing would be such that when he put his head down it was as the doctor was coming in. Granted she was coming in looking rather tired and foot sore, especially with those seriously high heeled platform sandals joined together by their buckles and dangling over her shoulder. At least the lab coat gives away just what she is. Hopefully.
"Seriously, you'll give yourself a neck ache and I don't have pain killers to spare for that."
no subject
"S'okay. Everything else already hurts." He offers a little too nonchalantly. "What's a little neck ache to add to the mix?" Even if he does get a crick in his neck it probably wouldn't last long. Besides, he's got the benefit of being under twenty-five.
no subject
"A serious pain that could inhibit your ability to find satisfying rest," she answered.
no subject
"First of all, bold of you to assume I ever get satisfying rest." He mouths off. "And second of all, thanks but I've got a enhanced metabolism so you're way better off offering those to someone that's not gonna just burn through it in... ten-fifteen minutes tops." He states, trying not to wince too badly as he sits up a bit better.
"I'll heal in like... a few hours so I should be fine. Thanks though."
no subject
The doctor sighs and puts the bottle back before checking the watch on her wrist.
"Come by the hospital before you want to sleep. I've been testing a new sedative that might help with the sleep, made from those strange daisies here. The pills taste like chicken though. I can't change that for some reason."
no subject
Sleep would be nice but at the same time, think of all things he can get done if he's not asleep.
"Uh.. I'll think about it?" He offers, voice squeaking slightly at the end, much to his displeasure. "Remember, I'm enhanced though, so normal strength sedative might not work for me."
no subject
"That's alright. Testing higher end effects would not be remiss. We seem to have a lot of 'not biological average' humans here."
no subject
He's still not too sure on the idea of being a guineapig but he's also, at his heart, a people pleaser and it would be helping more than just this lady out.
"Yeah, I'll do it just.. needles freak me out." He admits, shuddering at the thought. "I had a lot of medical problems growing up-" Says the fifteen year old "-and just, no thank you."
no subject
"No needles for this. I prefer to create oral medications when I can. Unfortunately they can be a bit bitter, and I am not yet ready to test if adding fruit juice will help or hurt."
no subject
"You'll have to ask the Agrii to get you one of those punch cards so you can keep up with how many you have." Yes, he's in a lot of pain and his voice probably betrays this but if he has a chance to continue his joke then, goddamn it, he is going to continue his stupid jokes.
"I'm Peter, by the way. Peter Parker."
no subject
"Tae Takemi. A pleasure to meet you Mister Parker."
no subject
"So, is there a reason you're sitting across from me? Not that I mind, of course-just.. I don't know. just wondering?"
no subject
Hell, Tae always considered herself lucky that the Japanese education system stressed learning English. Mostly because of academic papers, but it was useful.
"Just trying to check in on you. Doctors do sometimes get concerned, kid."
no subject
"Oh! You don't have to do that-I'm-I heal really fast so there's nothing to worry about." He assures her. "And all that stuff about everything hurting-I was being dramatic 'cause I'm, you know, fifteen. I do that."
no subject
"Take care of yourself, kid. When you need those super powered sedatives, let me know."
no subject
He lets out a deep sigh when it obvious she isn't buying that and winces slightly as that was maybe just a little too deep as it upset his ribs. Which, in turn has him trying to hide that he just winced.
"Yeah, I'll do that." Peter assures her, probably lying still.
no subject
"You know, just because you heal fast is no reason not to seek medical assistance when you're badly injured. It's okay to ask for help."
no subject
"I'll see you around." He offers an awkward, slightly dishonest smile.
no subject
"Of course. Just be careful of those ribs. I think I might have seen someone that looked like you get thrown into a building. That can be miserable for bones."

The turtle teen steps into the welcome center, leaning slightly on his tech-bō. He thumbs through his tablet for the list he'd made of components he needs, and though he'd much rather scavenge them, some items have just been trickier to figure out where he can find them. At least the replicator, questionable as its sources are, works for some things.
What he hadn't expected was to find someone else in here. He blinks, stepping back a bit, wincing a little as he straightens up some.
"Ooh, is there a line?"
no subject
"Nah, I already got what I need. Well, part of what I needed. Not enough tokens for everything so this is gonna... probably suck." How is he supposed to make more web fluid with no way to measure?
"You wouldn't happen to know where there's like a chem lab hiding somewhere, would you?"
no subject
"I hear you on that," he sighs. "Guess it wouldn't make sense if there wasn't a limit, annoying as it is. I still have to wonder where it all comes from. Machines just don't...pop stuff out at the touch of a button, and the output is so broad I can't nail down what it'd possibly use for base materials..."
He blinks and then frowns thoughtfully, looking down to consult his tablet.
"Well, there is some sort of laboratory building marked on the map in the northwest section of the city..."
no subject
"I don't think it works the exact same way here as I'm pretty sure you can't replicate cereal on the one back home. If I remember to, I guess I could try." He frowns thoughtfully.
"I guess I could check that out-measuring tools would help me out immensely."
no subject
He makes a face as he looks back at the replicator in the room. "Yeah, the whole food thing throws me. I mean. I guess if it's somehow breaking down material into its most basic components and restructuring them somehow..."
It'd be easier if he could just take this thing apart to have a look, but that'd also probably require a full set of tools.
"Measuring tools... Yeah, I'm in the market for some chem stuff myself. I'm trying to study the effects this world is having on non-indigenous plantlife- which about includes everything in the greenhouse and in this city, apparently."
no subject
"Actually, I just had a thought-It's gonna cost me another token, but that's fine. If it works then it'll save my ass the for the next time we have giant monsters attacking."
He takes a step back though, as he remembers he just told the other that he was done with the replicator. "Uh.. I'll wait until you're done though."
no subject
Donnie winces then at the reminder of that not too long ago ordeal. "I'd prefer not to have a repeat of that, but yes, all the more reason to have my tech-ō charged and ready." He nods. "I'll just be a sec. Seriously, I don't get whatever limitations the Agrii have on whatever tech they're using to bring people in. Can't even let me bring one charging cable..!"
He moves closer to the replicator, tapping at a button. "USB Cable, Type-C with adapter." He sure hopes that counts as one. Adapting the adapter to whatever power outlets they have here is going to be fun but this'll cut down on a connection at least.
no subject
"Yeah, I don't even have my phone but I seriously doubt if I'd get any service out here. One thing I am kinda missing though is my suit." It offers a little more protection than a tee shirt and khakis.
"But like, out of curiosity, what do you need to charge?"
no subject
shutup he's not homesick."Suit? Like...business? Kinda weird but okay."
Donnie pulls out the freshly minted charging cable, looking over it from end to end with a scrutinous eye.
"Oh, for this," he replies somewhat distractedly, tapping his tech-bō. "Ran through one too many modes during that monster fight, and I guess the laser did her in. Well, I got a couple of good shots at least."
no subject
"Hm? Oh no-my suit-suit. I can't go around fighting crime in khakis and a quippy tee-shirt-well, I mean I could. But it's not great protection and no one back home knows that I'm Spider-Man but never mind that." He waves it off.
"That thing's really cool. I'd show you my web shooters but I'm all out of fluid which is why I'm here... but maybe I can just replicate it?"
no subject
"Oh, you haven't seen anything yet. I'd love to show you what it can do but...that'll have to wait."
Donnie smiles crookedly then. "Wow, going all out with this spider-theme, huh? So is it like actual web? That sounds pretty messy- I know a yōkai spider back home and that is web you don't want to mess with."
no subject
"But yeah, I can stick to pretty much any surface and have the proportional strength of a spider. So, I had to make the webs. It was only right."
no subject
Because spitting webs seems pretty gross. Donnie knows firsthand that getting stuck by said spit out webs is gross in general.
He tilts his head at Peter even as he steps back to let the guy have his turn at the Replicator. "Are...you a mutant too, somehow?" He's not sure where the spider part comes in when Peter looks like a regular human otherwise.
no subject
Once it's his turn again, Peter uses his token on the machine and gets to work with a series a of taps, pausing here and there to think about how much of certain things to add.
Once every thing looks right he presses the button and-
"Oh no!" web fluid is pouring out the dispenser but there's no casing. Peter does the first thing he can think of which is to shove his hands forward to try and catch it.
...
...
"Oh. No!" He suddenly realizes what he's done and goes to try and yank his hands free but...
He can't.
no subject
Way to make things awkward, Peter.
...okay, even more awkward.
"Uhhh??" Donnie steps back as the machine starts to overflow with whatever Peter's asked it to produce. Web fluid... 'Oh no' is right.
"Heeey...there isn't by any chance a counteragent to that..?"
no subject
"There is. I just don't have it and I can't really... make it." He gestures as best he can with his hands. "But it does dissolve-it just.. uh.. takes a while." He admits, really not looking forward to the next few hours. Does he know anyone that could maybe help him with this?
no subject
He eyes the situation, still not wanting to get too close. What good would it do if both of them got stuck? "...how long is a while anyway?"
no subject
"I still have a token left but I can't use it." He tries to tug his hands free again but no luck. He really doesn't want to be stuck here like this for hours.
Panic is starting to seep in and without time to think it through, he tries to use his foot to give him leverage to pull away from the replicator he's now stuck to but that doesn't work either.
...and now he has another problem as his foot is now stuck. Shit. Why did he do that? He lets out a sigh as it starts dawn on him there's just not much he can do right now without getting himself even more stuck.
"Two to three hours. If I'm lucky." And he's never what anyone would consider lucky.
no subject
"Yuck. Okay, so natural spider web isn't impervious to everything- how's yours handle...fire? Lasers?"
Donnie looks at his tech-bō again, eyeing the outlet on the wall. His charger isn't going to fit, but he's already thinking of ways to improvise.
