[ The voice can be heard before the video fixes on Ash with Pikachu perched on his shoulder. There's an orange glow in the background which is exactly what this is about. ]

If anyone's around the diner there's a fire and we need help putting it out.

[ He cuts the feed immediately after. ]

[Radley is more than a little alarmed. Of course, this would happen on a day when he wasn't there. He hurries over.]

What happened?!

[ashwantstobattle]

[ Just south of the diner is what remains of Tommy's attempt as making a brick oven. Doesn't look like the attempt went well. Meanwhile, Ash is a little ways off, seated on a rock with Pikachu in his lap. ]

[ He looks up at Radley approaches and gets up to greet him, Pikachu hopping up to sit on his head like he normally does. ]

Hey Radley!

Pikachu!

I don't know, I was just told to keep back but it looks like it's all under control now. Sorry for worrying you.

[Radley rubs the back of his neck. Oh boy....]

It looks like it was a real beaut.

Yeah, the guy that was here he just sorta-and then his hand did this thing and then there was an explosion and everything went everywhere!

[ He explains excitedly. ]

He seemed real annoyed though. I hope everything's okay.

Pika, pika.

[crystalmaster]

Uh oh. So where is he now?

[Radley thinks he'd better find him.]

He's kinda upset about how things turned out with the oven he was trying to build. So maybe he went to figure out how to fix it?

[crystalmaster]

Yeah, I'll bet. Okay, I'd better look for him.

[ashwantstobattle]

He also told me to find someone named... uh..

Pikapi... [ Pikachu sighs in exasperation. Ash doesn't seem to notice. ]

I think it started with a T but I'm supposed to ask him about 'stranger danger.' Whatever that is.

'Guess I'll do that. Can you tell him I'm sorry about getting involved? Maybe things woulda gone better if I hadn't.

... Ah.

[That must have been an interesting conversation.... And Ash is likely going to another interesting one....]

I'll tell him, but I'm sure you didn't make it worse.

See, I kinda did. I thought I was helping but really I was just butting in where I wasn't needed. So, I'm really sorry.

[crystalmaster]

[Radley isn't completely sure this is true, not having witnessed what actually happened.]

Is that what you were told?

[Maybe someone spoke in frustrated anger.]

No, no one had to tell me that. Thinking about it, I realize Tommy had to have had everything under control. So really, I had no business insisting on getting involved.

[crystalmaster]

I see.

[Radley won't push it, as really, that's quite mature for a kid.]

I probably would have tried to help too.

Yeah, when there's trouble, I just feel like I have to help out, you know? My friends would probably all tell you I rush into things without thinking a little too often. [ He admits with a sheepish smile. ]

"Pi-ka!" [ Pikachu in exasperation. Ash just offers him a calming pat. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley nods.]

I have some friends like that. I try to think things through before jumping into something, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.

[ashwantstobattle]

Pikapi pika. [ Pikachu says flatly, giving Ash, who looks briefly offended, a look. ]

I do sometimes! It's just that when I see someone's in trouble or about to get hit by a really powerful attack I can't just let it happen! I have to do something to help.

[ Pikachu rubs his cheek affectionately at his trainers passion. Ash may not be the smartest trainer out there, but he's definitely the kindest and most selfless. ]

Yeah, I get it. Sometimes there's just no time to think.
