Audio- A few days after New Tick

This machine has other all sorts of funny little functions I haven't learned yet, can one of them read? All the fucking things it seems to do, and I can't find a way to make it fucking useful apart from this.

[There's a crash as something or other is thrown, and a beat while Ed composes himself again.]

...Or I 'spose I could hire a boy? I don't suppose there's anyone here looking for that sort of work, mm? Don't have a lot to pay with round here, not that a bit of gold would do anyone much good, huh? Lots of fish to spare, and those annoying lobster lookin' things.

[At least she knows what books are, now.]

Hm. I'm not sure. But it can read text on screen so... Maybe someone can work out a way to program it in. There's already a way to take images, so the next step would be having a reader recognize the words and connect it to the voice program. I'm not sure how difficult that would be though.

There's a few people who can, I think. It might be the communications data point. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do so even if you touched one of them though, unless you're familiar with how programming works.

My name's Omega. I'll see if I can ask people too.

Nice to meet you, Ed. Well, if there's anything else I might be able to help you with, let me know!
