[As the video starts, Lark is clearly seated by a warm fire, the communicator pointed toward her, and her hands are busy with what is clearly a pair of knitting needles. She looks insanely comfortable doing this, even with the head of her dog in her lap, just barely on screen.]

Good afternoon all. I was hoping to request some assistance in assisting you. I'm trying to make mittens to help keep us warm when outside this winter. But I need hand sizes. Anyone who would like a pair is welcome to come visit me in the hotel so I can take measurements.

[Then she smiles, shaking her head. Chances were people might find that weird, but she moves on.]

Where I'm from, it's very common to work on projects like this in the winter, and it makes me feel at home to do such things. So I would like to do this, not only to pass the time, but to help you all keep your fingers warm and comfortable this winter.

Design choice. Used to a bit of a warmer climate. Haven't seen weather like this since I was a lad.

Indeed it is. I’m on the second floor. Look for a green door.

[saltnpepperbeard]

Green door. [He nods.] I'll make my way over.

[Some time later there is a rap of knuckles knocking at the door.]

[stitch_witch]

[The knocking is met with cheerful barking and the skittering of claws on a hard floor. Soon after the noise of shuffling feet and a woman’s voice chiding the hound back before she opened the door.]

A slightly larger medium I think.

[She was clearly already looking him over.]

Good afternoon, sir.

[saltnpepperbeard]

[It's a different greeting than he's used to, and he glances down at himself with a bemused look, ready to accept her assessment.]

Afternoon. [He inclines his head.] Please- Ed.

[stitch_witch]

[Ed was a perfectly lovely name, and she offered a nod of understanding as she stood aside.]

Please, young man, do come in. I hope you are tolerant of dogs.

[He gave her a sidelong look, not sure if she was teasing but he laughed just the same. He hadn't been called 'young man' in longer than he could remember.]

They're all right on land. [Maybe he was feeling a bit more tolerant of them than he used to be.]

[Everyone is young to someone.]
