It seems we're in for snow again. Please let me know if any structure you are using for a residence starts leaking, or if it is overly cold. I would be happy to try and help make things more comfortable.

More than that, though, the snow seems to be building up. And there doesn't seem to be any shovels to work with. I'm going to try and keep what paths I can clear with some fire spells, but I can't keep the whole of Temba clear. Anyone have opinions on what paths should be kept clear?

And how does one train with magic in your world?

Use of magic to practice spell casting. Nothing more.

Is it magic that only certain skilled people can wield?

No, not at all. Anyone can be trained to work with materia.

And this materia is the key to magic in your world?

Yes, to most forms of it.

So anyone with this materia can cast spells. That would be much easier.

I could teach you if you wish.

Why would I not? Magic is a thing for all in my world.

It would not be taxing, and more magic is not a bad thing to have available to us all.

Whenever you are free. The winter is good for this work, and beyond my planning for repairs at the Towers and checking on wood curing, I'm rather free.

We can start with fire magic, it's often the easiest to learn, and we can clear paths as practice and training.

probably a good idea to have the area around the fountain clear, and the ones leading from it to the diner, hospital, and hotel. at least for new people. could you imagine waking up buried in snow? that'd be a shitty intro to this place. there's no shovels in the greenhouse?

Those are all good plans. I'll add them to the route I am planning.

I will be honest, I do not often travel to the greenhouse.

i don't travel there either just seems sensible to look for them there or maybe ask for one and see what you get from the agrii? i'm guessing you want help for shoveling you can't keep it clear by yourself also maybe the forget can make shovels for you if you can't find any at the greenhouse

I can get probably do what is required with spells for now, if the fire doesn't build up more.

shoveling it should help so you don't drain all that fire magic bullshit i don't want you stretched thin like miss lark when the moon was doing non-moon things if my audio input hadn't been broken before that the screaming moon probably would've done it

Yes, it should. But again, that horrid lack of shovel. Magic comes back, though, with time and rest. Any good rest in excess of a few hours gets me back to fully running.

can you use your magic to heat up the blade part of a shovel? if we find one that is just melt through it crisp n clean or if you could do that, do it to a shovel you're not holding and i could help yeah that moon was a bunch of loudass fucking BULLSHIT what the fuck even caused it?

If there was a shovel, I might be able to. Maybe. But my magic has very specific forms, so I might just destroy the shovel as well. I’m not certain.

The ones that spoke when we came to Calibrations. The ones who spoke when we were on the Agrii ship. We have heard them before, the ones I expect are really behind this farce.

I think there are likely a lot of bad humans in many worlds where humans are. Each person is theoretically capable of great evil, and great good. They make their choices.

As for the greenhouse, yes, we should meet there.

It takes a bit, since he isn't equipped for now, and there's a decent dusting in his dark hair by the time he gets inside of the greenhouse. He brushes most of it out, and the rest of it starts to melt on him. There's an odd looking...jacket he's wearing, with an extra arm on one side, that he huddles into to keep his interior pieces from freezing.]}

[Reeve had reached there rather quickly, living relatively close to it. He stands there, inspecting a potted plant, as Mini moves around, carefully picking off browning leaves.]

_{[York nods his head at Reeve and looks to Mini picking off the leaves. It's warmer in the greenhouse, so he takes the jacket off to be in his usual attire. Under his shirt, the LED circle glows a steady red.]}

S'fucking cold out. Feels like Detroit all over again. I guess you two are keeping warm at least?

_{[He glances around.]}

[That was of course Reeve. Mini, meanwhile, shrugged.]

Miss Lark has my hoodie, so I had to get this one. _{[He indicates the three armed coat.]}

I can't feel cold in the same sense, but my system will freeze if I can't keep it warm enough. This is bullshit.

Anyways. About those shovels for your magic or whatever. Lets see if we can find them.

[He had handled cutting a door between her work room and her actual room, so he had the pleasure of meeting her once.]

Yeah, let's look there. I've...never actually been in here. My brother's the gardener, not me. He can fix androids and grow plants. I like to think that he plants hope.

_{[He shoves his hands into the pockets to keep his fingers warm, even though the greenhouse is nowhere near as cold as the outside is.]}

I miss him, though I don't know if I'd want him to come here with me.

_{[But he knows Duncan would be liked, because while far more android than York, he was far more friendly than the youngest Stark android.]}

Plants hope, huh? I knew someone like that once. She was very kind.

[If he didn't think the android would flip out at him for it, Reeve might well offer a hug. As it was, he gestured deeper in.]
