B-Side: Flashback to The Storm:

"Echo to Temba. Come in, Temba- !"

Third time's the charm and it was still no good. The comms weren't working. Nothing was working.

The hiss in the former ARC Trooper's voice dropped off as he stayed low, using whatever was available for cover in Sh'Ka. His helmet jerked upward as a giant shadow passed over him, staring at the shambling bear-like creature making its way through the wilds of the city.

Exhaling a thin breath, Echo waited before glancing back over his shoulder to be sure Omega was still there, relaxing a bit more when he confirmed she was indeed still with him. "All communications are down," he quietly informed her, albeit mildly irritated that this was all happening again. "Unless we come across other people out in the storm, it looks like we're on our own."

It was so close and terrifying that Omega squeezed her eyes shut, drawing her knees up as she curled in as tightly as she could without crushing the little Barry, gasping as she heard the sounds. She didn't dare look, fearing that the moment she did, it would find them.

But then it stopped. The noise, the sense of something there, just suddenly absent. Very slowly, Omega lifted her head peeking towards Echo.

"I-is it gone...?"

Omega held her breath, not wanting to be left alone, but she gave him a reluctant nod then. Slowly she eased out of her position, glancing down at the Barry. "You all right?" She carefully set the little one down.

Echo's return was received with clear relief, although his report made the girl blink, confused. "But...we heard it, didn't we? It was right there and...and melting things." Echo wouldn't lie though, so it was just strange to process. Omega frowned, looking from her brother to the little Barry.

"I guess it's clear, little guy. Will you be okay?" She managed a smile, giving the Barry a light pat with the tip of her finger.

"So it was an illusion...? Or another ghost?" Omega stroked her chin the way she'd seen Hunter do so when in heavy thought. "And why would it be so big? There was something familiar about them though..."

She shook her head, unable to work it out. Movement out of the corner of her eye had her look back towards the Barry, and she waved at it as it began to scuttle off towards a crack in the wall.

"Me neither," Omega agreed. Real or not, it had been terribly convincing. She got to her feet, dusting herself off before adjusting the strap holding her bow and the bag slung on the opposite shoulder.

"I do. I'm not sure how long they'll last though, especially if this all stretches out," she said with a concerned frown.

The girl nodded. "Temba had some kind of safe haven, didn't it? Maybe there's one here too." But supplies were something else entirely, given that no one really lived out here. Well, save for the little Barry things.

"The ship at least has the basic things we'll need," she agreed.

That sounded like a reasonable plan to her. Omega gave him another nod. "Ready when you are," she said with a little salute as she stood at attention. Being scared about thing wouldn't help them, and at least if they had some sort of goals then they wouldn't just be running around trying to avoid strange, gigantic ghosts.
