Something Wicked this Way comes...
WHO: Wilson & You~
WHERE: Alien Target? The shopping corner of the city.
WHAT: Being up for nothing good.
WHEN: End of September-ish
WARNINGS: Wilson.
With the plant invasion withering away, the city has once again become rather dull to be in. Wilson hasn't minded the aggressive plants. He hasn't bothered fighting them at all, but they have been fun to watch. Fun and- Well. Inspiring.
But now things have returned to exploring and watching the other locals and sometimes gathering a little here and there. At least he has found a decent place to make his own. Pre-owned, judging by the state of it, but as far as Wilson is concerned, there is room for improvement. Which is the main reason he has come to visit the store.
The lighting in the building isn't flawless, but it is present, allowing for a casual stroll along pieces of rather long furniture, strangely cut clothes, devices that could be tools or toys or art or trash. His shadow creatures are inspecting the more difficult to access corners and are flitting about the place as he inspects the leftovers of a past civilization for anything worth tinkering with.
Wilson picks something up that could either be an alien toothbrush or even a device to erase another being's memory and turns it around between claw-like fingers, pondering it for a moment as he hears the screech of one of his terrorbeaks from a different part of the building. The shadow creature has either found something... Or encountered someone...

And then she'd discovered it was the very shadows that were moving!
Can one blame her for going on the defensive? Her bow's deployed, violet energy humming as she pulls back on the weapon, but she holds it in place. "Stay back..!" she warns, trying not to sound scared, flicking a brief glance to either side of her as she weighs her options to run if needs be.

At the other end of the store, Wilson listens to his creature's calls, yet doesn't move right away. Why would he? From the sounds of it, all it has found is a little girl. She will be fine. Maybe.
no subject
"Are...you scared?" she asks, unsure that the shadow can understand her. "To be fair, you startled me too." Still cautious, but she doesn't aim her arrow at the creature for the moment.

It's at that point that Wilson decides to make his appearance, his smirk more idle than automatically unsettling and yet still present. "In its defense, it couldn't have attacked you. That's just not how they work. A design flaw, perhaps, but I didn't make them."
no subject
"Where did it come from? And how do you know so much about them? I've never seen them before- they're not native to Agra Ten, are they?"
no subject
"So you're an expert about this world, I see." Wilson concludes with a grin. "You aren't wrong. They don't belong here. But they can be here if I call them. Not the most scientific process, but-" He simply shrugs, then gestures a clawed hand towards Omega. "And what are you doing here?"
no subject
"They're yours?" He makes it sound like they are, somehow. Having him question what she's doing here makes her frown, but she gives a rough gesture around. "Looking for things my brother and I can use. Is that so strange?"
no subject
"Brother? There's whole families here?" He asks when his attention returns to the girl and her bow. "How does that work?"
no subject
"It's an energy bow. You pull it back and the arrow forms when the arms are open."
no subject
"Wait. So you're telling me this isn't some-" Finger quotes. "-magical bow but that it runs on an actual energy source? Have you ever taken it apart to see how it works? Where it draws its energy from? Doesn't it burn your fingers? Why not? Can the effect be replicated and used in a different context? How does the arrow act on impact? Does it cut? Burn? Explode?"

Omega jumps as she suddenly finds the strange man there behind her, not at all liking how close he's gotten. He's quite eager about this, isn't he?
"Well... all right," she hesitantly agrees. Maybe he'll leave her alone after? Looking around for a target that won't cause too much damage to things, she settles on what might've been an alien mannequin at some point. The arms had all broken off.
The girl unfolds her bow again, pulling back to activate the power, violet light blazing as she takes aim. When she releases it, the energy shot strikes the target soundly- too soundly, likely because the thing is old, as the shot punches right through it.

"Haven't seen anyone else using one of these things, though. Is it just a you-thing?"
no subject
"Well, I wouldn't want to shoot it at you. Anyway, you're not trying to hurt me or anyone." He doesn't seem bad, just...strange. "Ah, I think it's a just-me thing. This is what came with me when I got here."
no subject
He points a wiggling finger roughly in Omega's direction. "I can show you a just-me thing if you want." Because that only seems fair.
no subject
The offer is something she's equally unsure of, but she gives a slow nod. "All right. What will you show me?"
no subject
He proceeds to take a step backwards and gesture around them widely. "I'm a scientist and this place is FULL of stuff to do science with!"
no subject
The man's undoubtedly excited about it all however, and even though she jumps at the appearance of extra, shadowy appendages, Omega finds herself smiling in cautious amusement. "All right then. Can you show me what you mean?"
