A cat's entitled to expect
Who: Catra, OTA
What: A wonderful trip, a horrible trip
Where: Temba
When: Mid Event
Warnings: Drug parallels, bad trips, potential for vomiting, TBD
Catra was enjoying herself, able to exercise her claws and employ a fun new weapon to her hearts content. As much as she hacked away there seemed to be more plants gripping the city in a strangle hold.
Abruptly a scent distracted her from her mission, silted pupils blowing out as it captured her full attention. It was an unassuming little cluster of plants at first. It looked very much like the mint, but with scattered purple flowers. To anyone with a less sensitive nose it didn't seem to be anything special, but to Catra...
Bliss
Catra rolled in the plants, inhaling long and deep, looking utterly blissed out. It was hard to say how long she'd been there, flowers tangled in her hair, grass and dirt stains on her clothes, completely without a care in the world. She purred and stretched, blinking slowly and smiling up at the figure who was standing over her. How long had they been there?
Distress
Too much of a good thing turned bliss to distress, and Catra's brow creased, hair standing on end as she tried to slink away. Something was wrong. Her skin felt like it was crawling, and some unseen threat seemed to loom, her stomach churning painfully. She groaned as her vision swam, but hissed, and swiped a claw at her would be rescuer.

Well, honestly, she looked like Chewie had looked when Lauri-Ell had almost stepped on her tail.
"Friend Catra," she greeted. "Is all well?"
And then of course the young woman swiped at her and Lauri-Ell had to step back, shocked.
"That is not kind."

"I don't-" she started, breaking off with a groan and abruptly emptying her stomach. It seemed difficult to stop once she'd started, tears in her eyes as she tried to will her body to stop, just for a moment. "Make it stop-" she whined in a hoarse gasp.
no subject
"I will try," she promised. "Please, let me carry you somewhere secure?"
Bliss
Given the current situation of things, he and Steven had come to an agreement that of the two, Marc was the better suited to deal with things, especially when it came to making way around the city. He probably looked quite the unusual sight, shovel slung over a shoulder, sleeves rolled up and no small amount of dirt on his person or smudged on his face. One run-in with plants that actually seemed bent on grabbing you was enough to put a(n already on edge person) on edge.
So coming across someone lying in the midst of a bunch of plants like they hadn't a care in the world was more than a little strange to him. He remembered the cat-eared kid from the shuttle during their initial roaming. He was beginning to have a hunch as to what was going on here and it was a little concerning as he looked down at her.
"You doin' all right there, kid?"
no subject
Of course she was all right, couldn't he see? Couldn't he feel it too?
"Don't I know you?" she asked, squinting at him and giving a small laugh, attention quickly shifting again as she nuzzled the nearest plant.

Stooping down, he plucked one of the nearby flowers, brow furrowed as... Well he wasn't exactly a botanist and they hadn't decided on a data point so there was nothing to call up there. Still, with the way the girl was acting he wouldn't be surprised if it was some kind of alien catnip-related thing.
Marc dropped the bloom, reaching for Catra's face to try and lift her chin towards him.
Distress
"Whoa! Hey, it's okay! I'm not going to hurt you!"
He put up his hands in what he hoped was a non-threatening manner.
