WHEN: Early-ish during the Eorzea event
WARNINGS: None aside from my obvious hyperactive glee at getting to write about my obsession in an RP game

[A - Limsa Lominsa]

[It's far from the first time that they've been taken to another world, but there's something about this place that's particularly charming. It's bustling, it's beautiful, and it just seems... Fun.

Lance very quickly finds himself in Limsa Lominsa, a populous seaside city, and while obviously unfamiliar he always finds a certain comfort in the seaside. Sure, it doesn't exactly seem like paradise; his sharp gaze and reflexes immediately fell him that he should definitely hold on tightly to his coin purse in many of the city's areas, but even with that...

There's a lot to do, and he's ready to do it in his (frankly, stylish and completely awesome) new outfit. There's some money he needs to make, of course, and when he hears that there's some need of freshly caught fish, why not? An assistant at the Fisherman's Guild (a rather exasperated but adorable...Lalafell? Right? Man, they're adorable) even lets him borrow a fishing pole. He sits outside on the docks, listening to the sounds of the city and the sounds of the waves, doing his best to reel in fish and toss them into an ice bucket next to him.

It's another day that he comes across a lovely looking restaurant, the Bismarck. Immediately he decides that he has to take Keith there on a date, because they need an actual proper date night in an actually proper city, and he wants to pamper him. Unfortunately, the restaurant seems to be booked for the next...forever, and the host doesn't seem very impressed with Lance's adventurer clothing or fish out of water vibe. But Lance is nothing but not persistent. After hours of begging, they finally relent and let him make a reservation under one caveat: he do chores for them. And the number one chore is...apparently scaring away seagulls. It's not glamorous work. Not in the least. He probably looks like a fool doing so and the rich patrons of the restaurant are definitely laughing at him, but whatever, it's worth it! At least he doesn't get seagull poop on him, though he does find himself being chased by the gulls as much as he chases them. Bastards.]

[B - Gridania]

[Some peaceful nature doesn't sound like a bad idea, either. The city is definitely quieter and more low key than Limsa Lominsa, and definitely has a charm of its own, though he finds it a little more difficult to completely blend in. The difference between a bustling city and one such as this, he supposes; it has more of a vibe of a large town than city, honestly. He can't help but think about Allura when he sees the pointy ears of the more populous Elezen there.

Well. It's peaceful within the city gates, and just outside of them. Wandering and exploring the Shroud outside does tell him that there's some unfriendly beasties out and about further along the paths, though; he understands why he overheard some adventurers in the inn talking to a worker there about jobs to clear things out a bit and escort people. But Lance is plenty experienced in combat to be able to manage even on his own, even if the gun he currently carries is quite different from his bayard. Eh, a gun's a gun, and he adjusts well enough.

(While exploring the East Shroud, he stumbles across a path to...a large and absolutely gorgeous chapel. The Ivory Chapel, he's told upon speaking to a woman there. Upon further inquiry, he finds out that the place is primarily used to host Ceremonies of Eternal Bonding. Weddings. Of course, his ears absolutely perk up at that. He's absolutely eager to ask her a bunch of questions, find out prices, and... Well, it might not be the cheapest, but he's more than willing to work hard to get the gil together. And they seem to have some slots available soon... He's definitely having a conversation with Keith about this tonight.)

Bentbranch Meadows is where he first comes across chocobos. He's absolutely fascinated by them, because they're big and adorable and...something like a horsebird? Big as an ostrich, but ten times as cute. When he finds out that they need help herding said chocobos, and are paying for said help, he's happy to offer his services.

And, okay. As adorable as they are, some of them are a bit stubborn. Even more than a bit stubborn. He much prefers them to the seagulls in Limsa Lominsa, of course, but he's a little weary of accidentally getting trampled due to his inexperience with them. So far, so good, though, even if he's currently trying to pull the reins of one that apparently is more than happy to stay where they are.]

Come...on...you dumb bird! The stable is like, right here! Don't you wanna join your friends? C'mooooon...

[Whine.]

[C - Gold Saucer]

[Holy quiznak. This place is flashy. It's like a casino but definitely less skeezy, and honestly, he is not complaining about the bunny girls out and about. A few actual bunny girls even, by the looks of it. A much younger, much more cringy single Lance would have definitely been trying to sweet talk them. Not now, of course, but he's still allowed to think they're gorgeous!

There's SO much to do, he doesn't even know where to start. But eventually he begins with a few simple luck and strength based games, and they're entertaining enough. Eventually, he finds himself at what seems to be a card hall. It's not blackjack or poker, though, but rather a game he's never heard of called Triple Triad. One of the workers there is kind enough to teach him how to play, and though it's tricky at first to understand, he eventually gets down the basics.

The rest of the day is spent at the tables, betting small amounts of MGP and though he's definitely in the red, it's small amounts enough that it's not a big deal. They're just fun bucks, anyway, though there's some prizes he does have his eyes on. Come join him at a table?]

[Video message and letter to all!]

Heeeeeey, everyone! I have an announcement to make! Some of you might know that I'm engaged to the most amazing guy in the world, Keith, and no, I will not debate that fact, because it's a universal truth. Anyway, we've been engaged for like ever now and haven't actually settled on a date or location. Until now!

So, I'd like to extend an invite to all of you to our wedding. It's going to be in the East Shroud, at a place called the Ivory Chapel. If you don't know where that is, we can all meet up at one of the city gates and go as a group to there. Even if you don't know us, you're invited! We'd love to have everyone there. Formal clothing isn't required of course, I don't think we have suits in our closet here, but hey, if you somehow do end up with a suit or a dress, that's always a plus. No wedding gifts or anything needed either. The company is more than enough.

I'm working out some stuff with the owner of the Carline Canopy in Gridania-- that's the inn-- to have a reception there after, too. It probably won't be the fanciest thing in the world and I really don't think I'm gonna be able to scrounge enough gil together for an open bar, but they do serve drinks there.

So. Yeah.

[He's clearly VERY happy and excited.]

It's in a week from now, which I know is short notice, but I have no idea how long we'll be here. I hope to see you all there!

(OOC: The message is sent via the ship communicator, so you'll see it if you go back to the ship throughout the week. However, regardless of that, everyone will be receiving a letter via a delivery moogle that says the same thing, along with a formal invitation to the wedding.)

[Sometimes people have more experience, and you take that in stride. So tp speak.]

Awesome. Think of it as something like an escort quest. We're escorting the birds. So don't try and scare them
