The Silly String Bandit [Closed]
WHO: Tommy Shepherd, Poe Dameron, Carol Danvers, Wanda Maximoff
WHERE: Around the City
WHAT: The Silly String Finally Gets Used
WHEN: 12/8
WARNINGS: N/A
It's been waiting there since before the mintpocalypse. The Agrii had misunderstood Tommy when he asked for string. Or maybe they were creatures after his heart. Either way, he had the can, he was going stir crazy for a lack of mischief, and there was JUST ENOUGH protein and carbs sustained in his diet now that he really could ambush people. So it was time.
He grinned and spun the canister in his hand before popping the lid. Makes sure his hand can reliably find the nozzle. And gives a brief spurt to make sure the thing works. It does, and the string is a lurid green. Very Tommy.
Perfect. With that Tommy's out fast as a thought, racing off. Time to hit some victims.
Each of his victims, chosen at random to be honest, will find themselves interrupted in their day as a burst of wind was followed by silly string being sprayed over their hair, shoulders and finally chest.
When he's done Tommy will back off a few steps in front of them. Poe Dameron gets a mischievous smirk and a wave of fingers. Hello there, Space-Shatner. Welcome to town. For Carol there will be less mischief, and maybe an undercurrent of concern because he has NO CLUE clue the Captain will take it. He does, though, salute.
But Wanda? Tommy doesn't even realize who it is until after he's stopped in front of her, and his eyes go wide and tinged with regret. Fuck. He's so grounded.

She slowly looks up from the silly string to Tommy and just stares at him, trying to process what just happened. Did he just--? Like she's some kind of normal person?
Maybe she stares at him a minute too long - it must feel like a short eternity to a speedster. He could easily be forgiven for thinking she's trying to decide whether or not to yell at him. But a moment later she bursts out laughing, of all things.
Someone's not getting grounded after all, apparently.
"What is this?"

"Silly string. I asked the Agrii for string so I could dry herbs. They gave me this. I guess they like pranks?"
He waves the can of silly string, which is nearing empty. At least it was pretty funny to do all of this. And he was glad, because Wanda seemed to like it too.
"You're not mad? I was certain you were going to ground me or something."
no subject
"I...I probably deserved it." After everything that happened on the Bishop and all. "Why would I ground you? I am not that much older than you. But...is this going to come out of my hair?"
no subject
"Yeah, it comes out really easy. The stuff is stiff unless you squish it between your fingers. And dissolves in water."
no subject
"Then I think I need to wash my hair before anyone else sees me like this and gets ideas. If it is you..." She shrugs. They're family, these things happen (and she is so getting him back if it snows). "But if it is someone else, not so much."

He's just putting it out there. How can she just trust him like this? Weird shit.

Sansa would probably only be a little dismayed at the state of her hair and she knows Vision would still call her cute just like this.no subject
"Yeah, fair point. But Billy might enjoy a look at it."
He pulls up his device and snaps a quick picture, grinning.
"I should really try doing this to mom if I ever get home. It'd be hilarious. But then I'd really be grounded."
no subject
"Does that happen often? You getting grounded?"
no subject
"My... birth parents didn't care enough to do that," he says, cautious. What they did was usually worse. "My mom, though? Nah, she's never done it. Which isn't to say she couldn't."

But overstep? He doesn't know about that. At all. She has a lot more right than she thinks. Maybe... maybe he should tell her? Fuck he wanted to. But he couldn't, not without Billy here, right? Dammit.
"I get not trusting the Agrii. If it helps, it's at least better than the last time I was kidnapped? Which I get isn't a consolation at all. And safe's a big time goal. I get it. Nothing matters more than protecting family, right? Well, protecting innocent civilians ranks up there pretty high."

"...This stuff better not stain, Speed."
no subject
"You Space-Shatner? The pilot guy who thinks he's so fast?"
no subject
Poe tries to untangle the string with a snort. "That'd be me. And I know I'm fast."
no subject
"I don't know. Taking you fucking forever to clean off."
no subject
"Big talk, kid. What is that stuff anyways?"
no subject
CLearly they supported chaos.

"Can I see?"
no subject
He's too fast, his reflexes too good.

Tommy grins and winks at the man, backing away another step.
"How do you beat the fastest guy in the world? You don't."
