Harry Potter and The Whale Comb Center
WHO: Harry Potter and You?
WHERE: Outside The Whale Comb Center and The Diner
WHAT: He's arrived. He's very confused. Also, where's Cedric?
WHEN: after he's arrived
WARNINGS: uh.. maybe some allusions to child abuse and child endangerment?
Harry and Cedric had reached for the cup at the same time-they grabbed it at the exact same time. All the sudden there was a jerk like someone had hooked him from behind and--
And he was laying on his back, wand in hand, glasses askew and staring up at the sky. He hops to his feet and glances around. Where is he? He looks around again, realization suddenly dawning. Where's Cedric? They grabbed the cup at the same time, shouldn't he be here? Maybe he woke up before Harry had and went to get help? Where was the cup? Did Cedric take it? Maybe he'd seen the opportunity to just take it himself when he woke up before Harry? No. Cedric wasn't the type to do that sort of thing. He must have taken it with him for safe keeping.
After checking the Data point, Harry has the sneaking suspicion that Cedric didn't make the trip with him. That's.. Harry's not too sure how he feels. How's he supposed to get back to school now? Things will be in an uproar if Harry Potter vanished in the maze. It wasn't that Harry thought that highly of himself it was more that he knew the wizarding world would throw a fit over this due to his famous name. He pushed the thought out of is head and decided that maybe he should work on finding someone that might know a little more or maybe someone that could send him home.
The Diner
The all too familiar pang of hunger creeps up on him faster than he'd expected it to. He could ignore it, it wasn't as if he hadn't had to ignore hunger pains before but he decides against that-best to know when and where he can get food at all times just in case he needs to squirrel some away. He finds himself pushing the door to the diner open and looking around cautiously just in case something jumped out at him. He's not still not entirely sure if he should feel safe here.
"Hello?" He calls cautiously. "I'm-I've just arrived." He states, keeping his wand tucked in his jeans. He's got easy access to it if he needs it but it's best not to blow the secrecy act if he can help it. Could the ministry even reach him here?

"You were younger than I was, when you learned it. In my world academic mages are often discovered very young and trained young. Ambient mages come in a range of ages when their gifts become clear."

"Where I'm from, you're born when magic or you're a muggle-someone that can't do magic. But when you turn eleven you can start school and have to complete seven years. At least, that's how Hogwarts is. I guess I don't know about any of the other schools." Wasn't Viktor Krum eighteen or something? Ron would probably know his exact age.

"I don't know much about Lightbridge. I've never asked Rosethorn about what it was like for her. I'm sorry you were taken from your education, though. The young mages I've known have found that jarring."

He was sure that if the ministry knew he'd cast that Reparo spell they would have descended on him in an instant or there'd be an owl swooping in.
"But I'll be okay." He assures her. "I know a few spells so it's not like I'm completely defenseless."

"If you need protective wards set up for your practicing of magic, I'm rather good at them," she offered. So he could have a sace place to practice.
That said, if he did get the attention of the Ministry, it would be interesting. Could get them home. Or him at least.

Harry will be forever grateful to Dobby for finding him something so he could go into the black lake and not just drown but he's still a little put off that he got blamed for the hover charm that effectively ended his relatively nice summer of second year.
"But anyways, I think I'll be okay. Thank you, though." He offers a small smile.

"That seems unfair. Should they not know better?"
Still, she understands his answer. She offers a nod of her head.
"Please keep my offer in mind. There is a lot of strange things here."
