[Network - Text]

I've been learning my way around and I think I've got enough of a handle of Temba's layout to offer my services for transportation. I'm sure people have probably seen me about the city, and I'm just sorry I haven't thought to make mention earlier.

I can't transport very much- I only have a motorcycle, but I can help deliver things or give people a ride if needed. Just let me know.

Because we're dispensable to humans. Easily replaceable because we're not living like they are. And then they wonder why there's a revolution going on.

[He scoffed and headed to the door.]

I tried to pick a quiet part of town so I could be left to my own devices. And where I picked reminds me of home.

[He turns to look at the device and then to her.]

No, I'm not. I'm an android. A custom sculpt and one of three made.

[He walks next to her as he opens the door to head inside.]

The factory seems to be made of metal and it feels like the metal freighter ship I called home with other androids back on my earth.

[Before it was destroyed anyways.]

That's because I am alive.

[There's an aggressive tone to those words and he snaps a menacing gaze to her. But she says words similar to what Cal had told him when York had first arrived to this city.]

...Our freight was for lakes. Michigan isn't on an ocean coast. It shares lake borders with Canada. And we were using the freighter because it was abandoned and at the time, the humans didn't know we were there. We could live in peace.

[Teal eyes look over the ships. Huge by comparison to his Jericho, but no less impressive.]

There are a hell of a lot more than I thought there'd be here.

[He heads towards one of them, the Bloodsport, to get a better look.]
buildingitsir: (over shoulder look; wait what)

[He had spent too long dealing with people thinking he was just another piece of plastic. The rider might not have meant anything bad, but it touched too close to what others in his world said. Touched too close to what they had done to him.

He stops to wait for her at least, eyes lingering on her bike before going to the Bloodsport. It didn't open for him.]

Supposed to use them? Can we not just take them out whenever we want if a crew gets together?
buildingitsir: (interesting; head tilt)

[He does wonder why she types everything. Maybe her vocal chords are broken or something. A similar ordeal happened with his brother until that hardware had gotten fixed. She wasn't an android, with her surprise to find out he was one and how alive he was.]

Wait... there's another city? And a train? Holy shit. Maybe I should go there if this place gets too fucking crowded with people.
buildingitsir: (excuse me; what; um)

[personal profile] buildingitsir 2022-05-04 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. Maybe I should visit sometime. Get out of this fucking shit hole.

[Though the other city probably wasn't much better.

He trails a hand over the ship, looking over it and analyzing the shape of it. Couldn't get a reading on its interior though. Strange. There was a lot 'strange' in this place though. Finger tips tapped against the metal and he turned back to Celty.]

I should probably get back to where you picked me up at.
buildingitsir: (shine your eyes; attentive)

Interesting. I might check it out, but later.

[The Agrii's technology was starting to interest him, that was for certain.]

Yeah. I've never ridden a motorcycle before and it's... fun.

[And York is thinking she's human, so that's why it feels weird. He's having fun doing something with a human.

But if she takes the long way back to the other side of town, the android won't complain about it too loudly.]
buildingitsir: (mischievious;here to fuck your shit up)

[personal profile] buildingitsir 2022-05-09 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Is there even a scenic route in this fucking city?

[There's a smirk as he says that, drawing his hand back from the ship and heading towards where she's parked her bike.]

You never did tell me what the fuel source is for your motorcycle, by the way.
buildingitsir: (small scowl; attentive)

[personal profile] buildingitsir 2022-05-09 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing since you keep avoiding in answering what it is, you're not going to actively tell me. You could've just said that.

[Not that he had much room to talk, since his emotions were unregulated as hell, but York just chalked it up to being another emotional quirk of humans. Typical.

He catches the helmet and fits it on easier than the first time. A few alerts were dismissed - specifically one of his energy level getting low again. York could make it home at least, scenic route or not.]
buildingitsir: (soft smile; looking down)

[personal profile] buildingitsir 2022-05-10 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
[York climbs on with better ease this time around, and finds his seating faster. Quick learner. Perks of being an android it seems. His feet get into place and arms link around her midsection again. He waits for rush of wind to answer to the speed, all tense against her spine.

It sent a thrill to his system, even as he held on tight to her. Going fast wasn't a thing for him, not like this. And in the snowy city landscape he had been pulled from, motorcycles really weren't out.

Maybe the fuel source didn't really matter.]
