WHO: Tommy, Billy and Peter
WHERE: YA Headquarters
WHAT: Peter pays a visit to the twins at the insistence of Tommy
WHEN: The night the network went crazy
WARNINGS: Insomnia, past trauma, kids not wanting to go to bed, will update if needed

Peter wasn't sure how he felt about being urged into visiting the YA headquarters to talk to someone about his insomnia. He hadn't really expecting Tommy to be that invested when he mentioned, as a throw away one liner, that he needed a sleep aid. It was a throw away because he had no real intention to doing more than just staying awake until he passed out, not because it wasn't true.

Though really, the sleep issues are hardly surprising. He wouldn't say that the whole situation with Beck was traumatic, just that it awakened old traumas that he'd rather would just leave him alone. He'd spent the first night with Bucky and Steve and that was... well, he fell very much like he was just in the way so he went back home the next day and had just been staying by himself because where else was he supposed to go that he wouldn't just be forcing his problems on someone else?

He shakes the thought out of his head as he approaches the door and pulls his hand out of his pockets to knock on the door.

There's not a lot of time to knock because once the first knock sounds, the door is opened. By a Tommy who looks hella tired actually. His hair is a mess, he looks like he hasn't slept in days, and it's probably because hasn't and he's been avoiding Billy when he can so he doesn't get yelled at for not taking care of himself. Which, you know, fair. He wasn't.

"Peter," he said, his voice tired. "Welcome I guess."

"Don't mind him," Billy offers, never fast enough to get to the door before his brother, but in time enough to here the less than friendly greeting, "'I guess'," he quoted with a teasing smirk, shaking his head, "Like you aren't the one who invited him over."

Peter's not looking too much better than Tommy, there's clear signs he's been neglecting sleep or that maybe sleep was neglecting him and it also looks like he might have skipped a meal or two. Which someone with his metabolism should never do. That greeting-of half greeting is putting him on the defensive though and Peter is once again feeling a little bit like an outlier but Tommy threatened to tattle to Tony if he didn't turn up so what choice did that give him?

"Um... If it's... I mean I can go if it's a bad time." He defaults to an escape attempt.

“Tired. Pot of stew was heavy,” Tommy advises them both, before his hand darts out at speed to catch Peter’s hand. “Food time. Then nap time. Because Billy is a benevolent Witch of Dreams or some shit.”

Just, you know, be patient while Tommy tries not to fall over. Not that he’d fall asleep. Fuck his life.

"It's not a bad time," Billy assures, and smiles fondly as Tommy stops Peter. "I'm sorry we haven't all hung out before now. When things are lighter and everyone's a little less tired I'm sure we can all nerd out," he promises.

"Witch of Dreams. I like that," he muses, and then to Peter, "How much did Tommy explain? You're okay with a spell, right? I can try more uh...natural methods if you want."

"Oh..." Peter voices, still not feeling too sure about this. He turns his attention to Billy and just offers a small shrug.

"It's okay.. it's.. been kinda... crazy lately." He admits, as if they weren't both aware of this.

"Um.. weird question.. the spell option.. is that like... dreamless?" Because if he can avoid a nightmare he's gonna take that option every single time. Maybe it's not great that his nightmares are bad enough that he'll avoid sleep but at this point it's whatever.

“Kitchen’s this way,” Tommy said, tugging Peter’s arm lightly. He knows he can’t move a Spidey if a Spidey doesn’t want moved. “It’s the end of my best stew of today. We’ll eat and Dream Witch over here can tell you how it works.”

And Tommy can pine for rest and decide if he’s going to ask his brother for help too.

"Crazy's kind of typical for people like us. But um...yeah, it can definitely be dreamless if you'd like. I basically say what I want to happen and it...happens, so if you have any kind of special stipulations, it should work. I've done it on Tommy a few times and he's still standing," he teased, "Dreams can be good though, even if they're upsetting. It helps the mind process... We don't have to decide right now though."

Peter just allows Tommy to pull him along to the kitchen, not even considering the fact he could just plant his feet and stay stubbornly still which might speak volumes about how tired he actually is.

"No, I'm decided. I'd prefer dreamless." Process his trauma? Absolutely not. He'll continue avoiding it because it can't hurt if he doesn't think about it.

"Dude, you want crazy we could tell you how we were born the first time," Tommy pointed out. "Or about his space prince. But he knows what he's talking about. His mom is a shrink."

Not that Tommy ever really talked to Rebecca about shit.

He guides them all into the small kitchen, way more pathetic than the diner, and to the pot of stew.

"Billiam, you need a bowl?"

"I'll do my best," Billy promised, not pushing. As long as he got some sleep, that was the first priority.

"Do we really want to confuse him with all of that? If he's from the same part of the multiverse as the others then we don't even exist there yet."

He nodded at Tommy's question, "Yeah, if there's enough for three, sure."

"...The first time?" Peter blinks. He's wondering if he actually wants to know but he's sure most people are only born once. But hey, maybe it's different in different universes. That's a really weird thought.

"Oh, well If there's not enough, I can just-I'll be okay. I don't need any." He offers.

"Or maybe we do exist," Tommy counters to Billy with a shrug. "And there is plenty for three."

Still, Peter's poked the question and Tommy smirks.

"Retroreincarnation. And you're both eating. Period."

"No, no, obviously you have first dibs, you're the guest," Billy counters, but luckily none of them need to win in the politeness duel, there's plenty for everyone.

"She hasn't had us yet according to anyone else," Billy argues, and offers an apologetic look as Tommy happily throws about Billy's term for their...very specific situation. "It's how we're twins born to two completely different families."

Peter holds his hands up in surrender. Tommy clearly feels very strongly about this and as long as there's plenty for the three of them there's no reason for grand standing.

"As far as I'm aware she hasn't had any kids, no." Peter confirms. Although it's not like he's super close with Wanda. He's not even sure she would know who he is.

"Maybe their world can't handle how cool I am," Tommy suggested as he moved away to get bowls and start serving up meals for them.

"Then we can get some fucking shut eye."
