[A heavy pause hangs in the air as his breathing slows, suddenly quiet, slowly picking through the pieces before everything comes together.]

Rex left. Hunter chose not to leave as quickly, which kept us on Bracca a while longer so that we could scavenge the ship's munitions and logs...

[He trails off, lips pursing as he thinks about how to go about this. The disconnect was small but noticeable, and he's concerned.]

...Crosshair found us.

[Echo's face may not be the best face to mirror because the frown deepens.]

No. A lot happened after Bracca. I'm from further along the timeline - not as far as anyone else is from our galaxy, but further from where you left off.

[Should he tell her more? Should he leave it at that? But if she wants to know, how much does he say?]

[Her brow softens at that understanding. She looks down, uncertain. Perhaps asking herself things along similar lines.]

[He closes his eyes for a moment, holding less of the earlier intensity when he reopens them to meet her gaze.]

[The gruffness usually found in his tone is quiet, solemnly returning Lula to Omega as he says this.]

[Omega shrugs a little as she takes Lula, hugging the plush close.]

Maybe later. I think you have enough to work out anyway. You just came back, right?

[Echo considers, then nods. His posture slumps as he relaxes, tired despite the extra lines smoothing out across his pale skin of his brow.]

You're right. Everything I know here is still falling back into place...

[The girl rests a hand on his arm, offering a faint smile.]

Then we won't worry about all that right now. You look exhausted. Or are you hungry?

[He tries to smile back, sighing as he does.]
