[(Accidental) Video]

[The angle on the video is completely off-center, the tablet most likely on the floor and propped up by something. It's difficult to tell the location, more so if no one's been at Echo's outpost before- dimly lit by a portable lamp set on a crate. It takes a moment for the image to focus between that and the light coming in from the gaping window.

Omega's silhouetted by said window, stepping away after setting her clone trooper doll there to sit as though looking out. Then the girl steps over to a cot off to the side, scooping up a beefy black and red tooka plush to hug as she sits.]

Maybe he'll come back, Lula. It happens sometimes, right?

[ Well, luckily someone explained the phone to Bruno at some point. Though he hasn't used it a lot and the way he uses it sure is more on the clumsy side. But he tries. ]

Kid? Omega... What's wrong? You alright?

[She jerks her head up, clearly not realizing the tablet was on. Scrubbing a sleeve across her eyes, she gets up to pick the device up.]

Bruno? I'm... It's Echo. I haven't seen him and it's been a few days. I...don't think he's here anymore.

Echo? You're brother? Oh...

I- I will go look for him. Maybe he just got lost.

[Her eyes look hopeful at that, but even then she seems hesitant. She sniffles, trying to smile as she nods.]

Yeah...maybe he's just gotten too far somewhere. Please don't get lost too though.

[ This gives Bruno a pause, which is followed by a small, soft smile. ]

Hey. Don't worry about me. Hernando will keep an eye on me.

[ He dives down out of the camera's frame. ]

[ And pops back up with his hood over his head and half his face, visible part of his expression stern and gives a short, serious nod before diving back out of sight. ]

[ ...and resurfacing with a wide, reassuring grin. ]

See? I'll be alright!

Hernando..?

[And then Bruno dips out of screen, Omega tilting her head. She blinks as Bruno pops back up with his hood up, and then again when he repeats his swap. A faint giggle escapes her.]

Okay. Promise me you or Hernando will contact someone if you need any help.

[ He gives a thumbs up. ]

Will do! And I'll let you know when we find him.

[Her smile is sad, if a teensy bit hopeful. She doesn't want to tell him that he probably won't, if only because she really wants to be proven wrong.]

Thank you, Bruno.

[Noctis didn't like Omega's tone and it bugged him. So he made sure he found a quiet spot and turned his own video on and spoke in a low tone because he was worried he might scare her with the sudden appearance.]

Hey, you okay over there?

[By then she's scooted back to lean against the wall, still hugging Lula. She looks over at the tablet, sniffling as she picks it up.]

...no. My brother's not here anymore.

[That sniffle didn't sound good because that meant tears. And of course Noctis understood those. But he took a slightly hitched breath as he heard Omega's words.]

I'm sorry.

[It took him another moment to try and figure out something to say. But he kept the gentle low tone.]

How long has he been gone?

I don't know. A few days now, at least. His name's not listed anymore.

[That made him wonder, but Noct wasn't about to voice any stupid questions or try to give false hope especially when he had no basis for comparison. So he tried to focus on the things he could help with.]

Do you have enough food? Do you need me to bring some over tomorrow or anything?

[After hearing about what happened to Tony she'd thought perhaps someone had just something cruel with Echo as well, except that that the clone hadn't disappeared from the network the way that Tony's traces had. She could see old correspondences. She just couldn't connect to anyone.]

There's a little here. I...guess I could go to the diner...

[But she's reluctant to leave the outpost. Just in case.]

[The king shook his head, keeping his voice gentle.]

No you don't need to be out. If you need anything just let me know and I'll get it for you, okay?

You don't have to. I...I'm not helpless. ...but for now, I think I'll just stay here.

I..sorry.

[Noctis shook his head.]

Didn't mean to imply you're helpless. But that offer stands no matter what, okay?

[Omega considers before offering a small nod.]

...thank you.

[He nodded back, with his heart quietly aching for her loss. It was a feeling he knew all too well. And of course his voice remained gentle.]

You got it.

[ Rey’s brow furrows as her camera switches on and she leans towards the screen, concern etched across her face. ]

Did something happen to Echo, Omega?

Rey?

[She squeezes her tooka plush.]

I don't think he's here anymore. It doesn't look like he's been here recently. I haven't seen him since the storm...

[ Rey's quiet for a moment, her eyes askance as she turns to the Force. She doesn't sense Echo which isn't a great thing to tell a small kid so

she's not going to. ]

I think a lot of people got turned around during that storm. Are you safe, do you need someone to stay with you until he comes back?

[Until he comes back. That's a possibility she's only lightly clung to, if only because others she's come to know who have disappeared never did come back. But Rey seems to think Echo will, so it's hard not to get her hopes up.]

...I'm safe. I've been staying at his outpost by the lake. It's...too quiet.

[She's never liked being alone.]

[ Before Rey can speak up BB-8 whistles and chatters from off-screen. She glances at him, nodding her head, before looking back at the screen. ]

BB-8 says he'd feel better if we came and kept you company. He's great at making noise, so it won't be too quiet.

[Omega lifts her head a little.]

Really?

[She smiles a little.]

...I'd like that.

[ Rey smiles at Omega, nodding her head. ]

Alright, I'll send BB-8 out now, and after I get a few things together I'll be there too.

Okay. I'll send the coordinates.

[She's not sure how BB-8 manages stairs, but either way she'll start down to the first floor of the tower so she can meet him whenever he arrives.]
