Playing in the Dirt
WHO: Lerith & anyone
WHERE: Agricultural Center
WHAT: Lerith is planting his gift(s) from the Agrii!
WHEN: March 2rd
WARNINGS: None
It didn't feel as cold out today. Or maybe that was because he was coming straight from the hotel and down the street to the agriculture center. Or greenhouse, as Tommy had called it. It was warm inside, much like his own little hotel room. Maybe while he was here, Lerith could find some plants that would make paints for Bruno!
Once inside, the elf pushed the scarf back and wandered around looking for a free area. A place with some decent sized pots where he could grow the herbs he had acquired as a gift. Finding an empty garden box filled with dirt, this...this would be perfect! It took a few minutes to locate some decent... well, at first glance he thought they were weapons.
Lerith supposed one could use a gardening spade as a weapon...
No matter.
The elf moved back front of the box and began to work, getting lost in the work of digging. He started with two holes, both three inches in diameter and two deep, before dropping the seeds in. Covering them. And he worked like that, continuing through the packet he had been gifted. It didn't take long for his thin hands to be cover with dirt spots, and even some on his face, marring the pale skin and teal tattooing.

He covers some more seeds in dirt before sitting back to relax a bit. 'stormy place makes me think of storm coast. i heard some scouts talk about it - the rain never really stops and there's a dragon somewhere out there.'

Omega leaned in a little, both to continue watching and to listen as Lerith spoke of places he knew. She liked hearing about other places since she'd only been to a few herself. "A dragon?"

The seeds were done, and he relaxed a little more. Being in the greenhouse was nice. Sunlight and decently warm. It didn't seem like a lot of people came in here, either, so that was great! With his seeds planted, when he was done talking to Omega, maybe he could go look for some plants that would do well for making paints with Bruno.
'yes a dragon. really really big, bigger than this building! wings and sharp teeth and claws, breathes fire. it attacked teh village i escaped to, and i was brought here before i could escape. i guess the aggrii wanted to save me or something'
Which was the only explanation that made sense to him.

"...that sounds scary though. I'm glad you're safe."

'i am pretty tall. apparently being as tall as i am is not normal for elves in thedas. but it makes for reaching things great'
His yellow eyes grew wide. Ate electricity? How? Wait, maybe that's what dragons did. Or at least, maybe that's what they did where Omega was from. 'ship? ship in water or ship that goes past the sky?'
He forgot the word for 'space' apparently.

She blinked at the words. "Oh- the second. One that flies. A starship. It's our home."

He did grin at her mentioning of riding someone's shoulders. 'it is fun to let someone smaller ride your shoulders. until they kick by accident.'
no subject
She winced a little at the thought of an accidental kick- but then even if she ever did so, at least her brothers wore armor. "Ooh, that could be painful. I've never done that," she assured.

Getting across the Waking Sea had been an awful experience for him and Lerith couldn't help the face he made at the memory. At least after that he had escaped, so he didn't have to go back across it!
'i should probably get goin sine i'm done here.' A pause to think before adding on, 'want some company out? maybe if you ride on my shoulders you could take fruit if you wanted'
no subject
"Would that be all right?" she asked then, surprised but not uncertain about the offer. There were some yummy looking fruits high up. "You'd have to hold my box for me. I can pick some things for you too though."

He made a gesture with his hand that clearly indicated [Up!]
Once she was on and settled, Lerith took Omega's box in one arm and carefully held her knee in the other as he stood up. Up straight, no slouching or anything. Unfortunately he couldn't speak like this, but if she gave him directions, he'd follow them!

"All right, ready whenever you are," Omega said.

Another gentle shift of her, then her container, and he started through the green house, moving in a pattern so she could reach trees and flora from up high as they passed. At any signal she gave, the elf stopped for her to gather what she wanted before continuing on. At least this was a fun way of leaving the greenhouse!
