"I know you're basically from Earth, but- Did your Earth have those? The ark ages? The middle ages?" And he turns around further to gesture around the market around them. "The area these festivals tend to be based on?"

Is he curious to hear about the history of a different Earth? Of course he is. Though so far he hasn't really considered that there may be large differences. Though, of course, he could be wrong.
