Alright folks, been here a month now and been watching and thinking and evaluating from what people are telling me. And came to a conclusion about it all.

We could use more meat in our diets. Except it seems like those almost-sheep things are pretty important to people so that's not an easy option. And I've seen some small creatures around, super fast, that look like naked chocobos or something, but that ain't really my speed. So my thought is this.

We need a hunt or two. Go catch us something big and tasty and red meat. Did some research and think there's something like some giant boar thing in the other city? It sounds massive.

I want it.

So, who knows how to track, who likes hunting, and who's got weapons and wants to go? I'll take all sorts. I know how to work together with people who have firearms just as well as traditional melee weapons.

Gotta say, I ain't got a shield yet, so I won't be the normal defensive support I try to be in a fight as well, but hey, sometimes the best defense is an amazing fucking offense, right?

[Can you just IMAGINE the giant smile on his face when he says that? Maybe you can if you've met him in person and had those pearly whites flashed at you.]

Fuck, a hunt is even good to do in the winter to warm you up, if you know how to keep warm on the way to the engagement. And afterwards, we'll break down the meat, bring it back, and who knows, maybe some people here are grill masters. If this goes well, we can even do it on the regular. Good to keep the body and mind sharp.

[The reference to chocobos catches his attention- if this is someone from his world then he's going to have to be careful. He doesn't recognize the man's name but that doesn't mean he won't be recognized.

Still, there is nothing to be done for it since there aren't many places to hide.]

I've only gone hunting once, I'm a fairly decent shot if given a gun but I do have a dog who is experienced with taking down large monsters.

Forgive me, I assumed since you knew of chocobos you knew of materia as well. Simply put, materia is a form of magic where I'm from.

Usually so it's fortunate Dark Nation has been trained to be capable of more than an ordinary hound.

[Yeah, it's useful isn't it? Quick conversations, don't have to talk, can hide feelings because tone isn't easily read in text. It's great for casual chatting. In fact, Gladio was less likely to hit up calls or videos because of it. He's from a texting culture and generation.]

Damn right. There's too much standing around here for me.

Don't know what it's like over there. If there's a place to camp and rest, I'd suggest heading out tonight, making a forward camp. Otherwise, first thing when the trains run tomorrow.

What sorta weapon do you use?

I use a lightsaber, I'm also experienced with staves, though my old one I broke down to use as my lightsaber's hilt.
