There were plans now, and Lauri intended to set to them. With all of the input about the way that climbing walls had worked she had decided to take an afternoon to work. The woman made her way to the civics center after her security patrol and headed right to one of the benches she had on the outside of the main room. From here she could easily watch the two obstacle courses, or even the weights area. But she was too busy to mess with those right now, not with no one here at the moment.

So instead she sad there with the rocks she had gathered. With those she had a small metal tool, and was rubbing the ribbed metal over the stone to shape it. She'd done this before to shape the stone weights before acquiring others from Coruscant.

But she paused as she looked up at the entrance when she heard movement.

"Hello? Someone there?"

"It's Terra." Terra called from the entry way. He'd been meaning to take a look around this place and see what exercises he could do other than just do exercises outside. He hadn't done a handstand pushup thing in awhile and figured this might be the place to see if he could still do such a trick.

It had been ten years after all.

But when he walked in a little further, he caught sight of Lauri-Ell working on some project, so he came over. "What are you doing?"

"How do you make those?" Sure he'd seen the post to the network, but wasn't really sure he understood the purpose of them when people could just go..climb around outside.

"No, don't worry about it," Tony called back. It was no real use trying to hide the rattling noise he made as he dragged himself into the building, a train of what looked like looped ropes behind him and a bucket in his arms that he very carefully tried to keep it balanced upright among the rest of the tools he carried. He went limping slightly under his load part way down the hall, looking resolutely ahead as though he could avoid acknowledging Lauri-Ell and they could both have a better day for it, only to eventually accept that this was untenable. He didn't actually know where he was going, first of all. This wasn't a place he felt he should be spending much time. And besides, "You don't live here, do you?" Maybe he had just found yet another way to irritate Lauri-Ell.
orangewayfinder: (I guess so (r))

"Carving..that sounds pretty neat." Aqua made their wayfinders and even if Terra didn't have his, he'd admired the crafting that she'd put into it. But the name sounded unfamiliar. "I don't think I've met him."

Damn. Whole city to be in, and Lauri-Ell also lived here. Tony assumed she hung around here so often because she was working out or helping others, but finding her just sitting and...trying out a new hobby, he hadn't really needed the confirmation. He insisted, "Please, it's Tony when I'm in my...pyjamas," with a glance down at his soot-stained sweatpants, hardly the tightly controlled presentation that he would have preferred in an awkward encounter, and then he was left hesitating in the hall, looking back the way he had come like he might turn around and struggle his way back out. "I was just--I was looking around. Is it nice?" he asked, which was a terrible cover for standing in the civics centre with a bucket of paint, like he had come all this way like this to chat with Lauri-Ell about her real estate situation.
orangewayfinder: (Hey)

"Red hair." Terra mused thoughtfully. And then he looked at Lauri-Ell and shook his head. "Can't say I've seen someone like that." However, her next words were more ominous. "Gets into danger..that's not good."

There was no way that wasn't deliberate, so Tony did his best not to let his shoulders deflate too much at Lauri-Ell towering over him like she was trying to crowd him out of the place. She might not have been talking about her room, but that was what Tony has asked about, so he stared at her for a beat before wondering, "You live in an obstacle course?" This did not seem as outlandish as it could have, because Lauri-Ell did kind of look like she exclusively swam upstream to bathe.

"That must make him really stand out then." Terra observed, wondering what was going on and why this kid always seemed to get into danger. And then of course he had to follow it up with "When was the last time you saw him?"

She was already imposing, she didn't have to flex like that, too, and make it more difficult for Tony to concentrate on keeping his back straight and a humiliating flush from creeping up his neck. It wasn't like he hadn't spent enough time living with Thor or other equally mountainous people, but he also rarely had reason not to push back when he thought he was being intimidated. He was trying not to start the fight, for once.

At least she finally called him Tony.

"I thought this could be a good place to set up a tennis court," he admitted, and readily followed it with, "But if you've got your obstacles and...rocks, or whatever, there's lots of room in that big store place, and its about time someone reorganized in there..."

"Is there someway I can help?" Terra didn't want to see someone doing something all by themselves if he could help it since he was so used to helping people. But at the same time, if she insisted she could do it, he wasn't about to interfere.

"Volley of...?" Tony started, muttered with distraction at the shift in Lauri-Ell's demeanour. Once he had recovered from that extra notch of height and the beam of her smile, it became clear that she must have meant volleyball, and Tony allowed, "Sure, room for plenty of balls on a court. Got a net and everything," and hoisted up his train of rope to display with some effort. "It takes a lot of space, though. Eighty feet, ideally. You got room for me?"
orangewayfinder: (Arms folded (r))

"Can he take care of himself if something happens?" Terra wasn't sure why Lauri-Ell seemed so worried about this person but there had to be a reason as to why that was.
orangewayfinder: (Excuse you)

"Well humans can fight." Terra replied with a smile on his face. After all, Lauri-Ell was in the presence of such a human. But it did make him think.

"If you're doing rock climbing here, maybe there could be a place for training too."
