This is Ikora Rey.

I am looking for a partner to spar with. Specifically hand to hand combat at least three times a week for a few hours or so.

I promise not to use any of my paracasual abilities against anyone who agrees and I expect the same respect in return. No special abilities. Simply hand to hand in whatever style you know. This is simply meant to keep up my strength and skill while we enjoy relatively peaceful times.

If anyone is interested, please respond. I am willing to take on multiple sparring partners as well.

I suspect I'd have to at least passively use to the Force for endurance to really keep up.

I bet Mando's pretty good. It would be weird for him to be a Mandalorian who earned full beskar armor, if he isn't.

He would be the completely armored man I've seen walking around? I have yet to speak with him.

More like, I think I use the Force on a less than fully conscious level, a lot. It's something I should try to develop more control over, honestly, but it kept me alive when I didn't have anyone to teach me.

That's Mando. Full unpainted armor. Unless he got around to painting it when I wasn't looking. [Sorry, Din, the complete lack of paint confuses this semi-educated outside more used to Mandalorians embracing colors.]

I haven't sparred with him. But based on what I know of what he was doing back home...

I would offer to but unfortunately I can't simply turn off my abilities.

That aside, I have something that I think you might enjoy.

I cannot separate myself from the Light but I can choose not to use it in a fight. You can't do the same with the Force?

Not entirely. I can choose to not wield it in various ways. But my force senses still give me a distinct advantage, and that is not something I can cease using. If you're fine with that much, I would be happy to spar.

Either way, why not come to the temple? We can have tea and catch up, and I can show you what I mean.

What do you consider a special ability?

Something that cannot be countered by normal human means. As an example, I can set you on fire when I punch you if I choose. Very hard to counter than if you're a normal person.

What about superhuman strength? I may fall into your category of unable to counter by normal means but I am familiar with working with unenhanced individuals.

Guardians are tougher than most. I suggest we try it. If you prove too much at your inhuman strength then we'll adjust.

It would not be my preference as my armor is very light without my Ghost providing shielding.

Understandable. I won't work, then. As part of my creed, I rarely remove my armor, especially in public. [Such a shame really, he was looking forward to a challenge.]

Ah, I see. I was not aware. If you don't mind me balancing the scales through my Ghost and a bit of Light, then we could still spar. I wouldn't ask anyone to break a creed just for training purposes.
