Video (Action for Twin Roses)

[Near the end of the forced friendship time, a short video pops up. It's not filming anything in particular, but is pointed at part of the Twin Roses' galley rather than at a person.]

So, has anyone gotten their ship off the ground for more than a few minutes? This one isn't, and I'm probably missing something obvious...so yeah, anyone manage to do anything and want to share their secrets?

[A whine can be heard at the end of Noctis' last sentence, and while Noctis was planning on leaving the message there, he can be heard again, and his arm's now in the video as he grabs the tablet to move it. After a few seconds, it shows the face of a white dog.]

You wanna say something, Pryna?

[She doesn't say any actual words, but does bark once before the video is turned off.]

For what it's worth, I don't think it's only us who are mystified by being completely grounded.

[It sort of seems to be a trend, from what he's observed on the network.

Honestly Altair has been spending their time in lock-up sort of hidden away in a corner. Sleeping or stewing in his own thoughts, mostly.

During his rare forays away from his self-imposed solitude, he's mostly been going to the galley. The access to consistent meals has been nice, at least, even if he's barely been eating. Not so much because he can't stand protein paste, so much as that he's a resource hoarder by nature, and eating more than half a meal a day feels unnatural.

So here he is, having been on his way to fetch something to eat for the day, only to overhear one of his shipmates.]

So I don't think it's you who've missed something obvious-- more than likely, being grounded is by design by this place's moronic overlords.

[Noctis, like he told 'Ghidorah' on the network recently, would do a lot for a roast beef sandwich. Or pretty much any recognizable foodstuff that didn't cause weird effects. Fortunately, he was used to protein paste, so it was more of an 'ugh, this again?' than anything else. Disappointingly, the Agrii hasn't added Braille to the pantry items, so Noctis was limited to taking chances with his food.

Hearing Kallig's voice nearby and not from his device's speakers surprises him a little--he'd been paying more attention to the dog--and he jumps before turning in his shipmate's direction.]

Can't decide if I should feel better about that or just more annoyed. [He'll go with both, both sounds good.] Why put us on the ships if we can't go anywhere?

[He asks that, but he suspects that, given what he's heard since he arrived, that their 'overlords' want them to help fix up the dilapidated city before taking off anywhere.]

Some form of sadism, perhaps? Or more likely, some pathetic attempt at getting us all to get along.

[That's his top guess, at least. After all, the better they all work together, the more likely they'll be of use.

On the grand scale of things, however, it's an entirely pathetic attempt and just as likely to cause fights as it is to make them play nice with each other. Locking a bunch of strangers together never ends well, and certainly doesn't kindle a spirit of cooperation.

Unless the Agrii want everyone to unify against them.] So far as puppet masters go, these ones seem to be somewhere in the utterly incompetent range.

[Of course, it could be that they want everyone to just think that. He's got some experience with people pulling strings, after all.] ... Not that we should be letting our guards down.

[He certainly isn't.] ... Besides your frustration, how are you holding up?
