Glad to see my bar didn't burn down while I was gone. How we all doing here? What exciting mysteries have we dug up in the mines? New additions? Subtractions?

[By the blue-greenish ambient light and the dark countertop he sits at, Cayde's probably at the bar he speaks of. He holds a mug of coffee in one hand, his other free to gesticulate.]

Aaand for those of you that might not have noticed your favorite Exo being absent- sorry Felwinter- well, I've been out at the other city this past...wait, how long's it been anyway? I counted enough sunrises to be at least a few weeks, give or take. I mean, did we ever figure out how Agrii weeks and months work around here? Or is everything just reeeally long?

Anyway, I digress- I...promised Kyle I'd make a report or something but it looks like the Graq connections have been made already. For those of you not in the know, they're some...squatty dog-bear-looking people that we ran across on a particular space adventure. That story gets complicated so you want details, you come find me.

Now- circling back, there's a lotta evidence out in that other city suggesting that these Graq lived there. Structures. Melted rock. Of course there's some other stuff that don't make sense but if it did then it'd all be too easy, right?

[He waves his free hand dismissively.]

I'm not one to info dump but if anyone wants to share or whatever, I'll probably be around for a while to catch up on things around here.

Saw the new additions to the tank. [He nods off to the side somewhere, flashing a smile.] That your doing, 'berto? Thanks.

Oh yeah, kid? Um- right. Can't just.... too many dang kids around these days- Helmet's kid? Drop by when you can, hole's ready for you to work your magic.

And Billy? Lemmee know when you're free, kid.

That it? All right then.

[He points at the camera, finger and thumb poised like a cocked gun.]

I tried to catch colorful ones. And makes sure they weren't the sort that eat each other, fishes will do that sometimes.

What exactly is this 'hole', my ad'ika's magic is helping with?

Oh yeah! Very nice. I'll enjoy them while they last. Don't think there's been any casualties yet but pretty sure it's not the fish you gotta worry about eating each other.

How you settling in? Obviously you've been keeping busy.

[He waves his hands as he shakes his head.]

No, no- not like...his actual Jedi magic [Insert wiggling fingers here] -I just need him to help wire something in.

I can get you more fishes once these are gone. Or maybe just bring you normal fishes to cook, so you can give them to Grogu?

It's what I've been doing lately, fishing and looking for the right minerals in the caves to make crystals. I still need to find a place for a workshop to work on them.

I don't think the kid minds them being um...fresh. But thanks kid. I think the last time I took Jon on a fishing trip to try refilling the tank, we caught more weeds than anything else. [He chuckles.]

Crystals, huh? You an engineer, kid? [That so many children have taken up that datapoint just amuses him to no end.] Plenty of places to claim. We can go check things out if you want.

[Oh right.]

My...kid, son.

[He tilts his own helet. Oh, right. The whole engineering thing. He nods in understanding, though the last bit gets a hidden raised eyebrow.]

What was his idea? [He doesn't believe it one bit, considering Grogu can't verbally talk.]

[ Albert chuckles at that first answer. ]

You can say raw. And I do get the appeal, they're tasty. Maybe you should keep a second, smaller tank with fishes for him, so he doesn't devour the pretty ones.

Yup! I found the floating pearl in that big power plant building. I understand the tech better now. [ All kids like building stuff and playing with things they shouldn't be touching, it was inevitable. ]

Really? You're not too busy?

[Still totally convinced there is a green face with giant ears under that helmet.]

How to hook up my neon sign for the bar! Look, I didn't expect to get a free consultation but he looked pretty sure of himself when I was asking him stuff.

Heh. Pretty sure that wouldn't stop him. But maybe another tank might be nice to balance out things- maybe behind the bar.

[He laughs.]

You do, huh? Well, that makes one of us anyway. [Yeah, he's not surprised Alberto's gone and touched the glowy balls.]

Me? Busy? I'm never too busy to go poking around places.

I saw Grogu at the beach the other day, he's little. If one of the tanks is closer to the ground than the other, he would go for that one because it's easier to reach. [ It's what Alberto would do unless the other tank had something super interesting in it. Takes a kid to know how another kid thinks. ]

I don't get everything, but some machines are less confusing now. It's weird, sometimes I'll know what needs to be done to fix them but not be able to explain it to other people. I just...understand the steps. Did you find any balls?

[ He always touches all the things, so yep, it was inevitable. ]

Great! Do you want me to come over? Maybe I could find a place close to your tower? [ The Exo lives there, so it was 'his tower' now in the kid's mind. Alberto liked that it has water nearby, and that it looks like a castle of sorts. ]

Well, we found a real tight tunnel that leads to some sort of... thing. We don't really have a good idea what it does.

[ Cobb is sitting outside a house, seemingly between projects at the moment. He's still a little injured but everything is healing nicely and the bruises have mostly faded from his face. ]

And we need to make some crystals to power it. I don't think we should power it up until we know what it does. The narrow tunnel it's behind makes me think it's blocked up for a reason.

[ And he'll tell everyone else soon. But Cayde asked for a report so Cobb's reporting. ]

[Cayde simply grins.]

If you catch him in the bar at the fish buffet, you watch him. Then you'll see why that won't work.

[Touching a datapoint to magically gain some understanding for alien tech just never sat well with him that Cayde hasn't tried. If he had a nose he'd be wrinkling it, but he does nod at the question.]

They're marked off on the map. Ridiculous stuff. Can't even shoot a gun without one of those.

[He grins then. With all the towers he's associated with it's bound to get confusing. But Alberto obviously knew where the place was.]

Sure, you do that. I'll be waiting.

Ooh, a tunnel! Wait- you haven't gone through yet?

[Although given how the Marshall's looking, he wonders if there's been some complications.]

Soooo either someone's hiding something or the Agrii are oblivious as to whatever might have been hidden. Always some fun odds.

[Din really wouldn't dispute that belief. People can think what they want.]

Considering he can't speak. Must have been an interesting consultation. [He's not really doubting Cayde. He knows convos are possible with the kid, if done right.]

I'm...glad to hear he could help you. I assume the sign is ready to be wired?

Oh yes. Very enlightening. Also that kid is very sassy. And a little rude. Shame on you for teaching him to blow his tongue out at people.

[He nods then.]

Yep. I did all the manual labor so all he has to do is figure out which things to hook up. Don't worry! I'll make sure it's safe! No fritzy wiring, no leaking water-

Oh, we've gone through. Leads to a rusted door and behind that is all the tech that I'm hesitant to turn on.

[ Complications are pretty much a daily occurrence around here. ]

Don't know how they got energy readings from dead equipment. There's nothing on there. Not even half-dead on.

Helmet's kid? ugh. At least he knows what he means. Give him a little while (he's got little legs) and the kid will stroll into the bar. Sup?

More mystery equipment. Just what we need.

Cayde's tossing knives at a shoddy dart board on the wall when the little one arrives. He grins over at the kid.

"Hey buddy!"

You got a minute? Er, maybe two minutes? Actually it might take a little more than that if we include travel time.

[He laughs softly and nods.]

I have as many minutes as we need, what's up?

[The Exo grins.]
