I wonder if it's the Atroma's implant. It would have stopped me from doing anything to the ships before, but I can't even sense anyone else. I can only feel us.

They must have much more powerful technology than the Atroma did -- beyond having little idea how to use it anymore.

If they can do this to me now, maybe they have used it to hide from me. I've tried to reach out for other minds that seem different, but...there is nothing, only us. But someone set up that 'party.' They have to be here somewhere.

Well, they aren't down in the tunnels beneath the city - at least none of the ones I explored to find the water plant.

Honestly, yes. I need to get out of here, so I can find this Engineering Data point for this planet. I feel like I am ... halved here. My abilities do not work as they used to, and that is frightening. I could hurt someone, doing the wrong repair.

[His expression is slightly grim.]

Which means we are dealing with people who have access to our files - who we are and what we are capable of - but they do not have control of the Atroma's technology. Not completely.

You should talk to Vash. I am not surprised I couldn't use the communicator well without this planet's communications point, but even what I knew isn't helping with the ships very much. I have to keep making adjustments to stabilize the system.

[But it gives her something to do that isn't agonizing over the timer and it means that everyone else on the ship has reliable calls. She really hadn't wanted even more in her head, but right now she's glad she took that data point.
