Closed to Din

Since everything in Tembra got back to normal, Grogu has been worried about Din. Din had such a different life in that other world... and he showed his face. That had to bother him. He'd mostly left him alone for the first couple of days. But his concern grows and he seeks him out.

When he finds him, he walks over and makes a soft noise, reaching out to touch his leg. Are you okay, Dad?

The past month had been a lot for everyone. Grogu might not be able to talk to people like others. At least, not in a way that most could understand, but he still wants to make sure his friends are okay. It just takes him longer to get to people... he's got little legs! If you're a friend, he's going to try to seek you out somewhere! At some point, a little green Jedi will come walking over, looking up with his giant eyes to see if you're okay.

Out and about

Other than checking in with people, he's going to be spending his time either chilling at the Deep End watching (and occasionally eating) the fish, trying to help with cleaning the Jedi Temple in progress, meditating by the fountain, or chasing some small critter... possibly to eat it.

A little 'patu!' at his feet made Cobb look down. He blinked and then looked around for Din because he was used to seeing the two of them together. When he didn't spot any silver he looked back down at the kid.

"How'd you get all the way out here?"

Out here being the glownie ranch where he was fixing fences today. His rebuilding houses project was still going on but his skills and his tools were needed here.

He rubbed his face with his bandana before he crouched down to be close to eye level with the kid. "Hey stranger. Good to see you."

Don't question it. The kid had his ways.

Grogu's ears raise and he tilts his head at Cobb, giving him a small smile. Hey, buddy, how's it going? Cobb was definitely one of the first ones he sought out. He missed the guy!

Cobb sat down and leaned back against a fence post he'd fixed up a few minutes before the kid had shown up. He picked him up and set him in his lap. "Well, you're a good reason to take a little break."

He pulled his bag over and drew out a mangourd. "You hungry?" he asked but he already had his knife out to cut through the tough outer rind.

"I'm surprised to see you without your dad. Thought you'd be stickin' close after what he went through." Cobb grunted as he finally managed to crack the rind open. He pulled out one of the fruit bits and held it out to Grogu.

Shiro had been keeping to himself probably more than he had planned after everything that had happened. It was so easy though to want to be alone for a while... and then it turned into longer.

But he had found some work to do in the greenhouse, wanting to help out with the plants. Probably when he was done with that, he'd visit the Glownies and give them some mint.

He looked up after a moment hearing a faint rustling and smiled seeing who it was. "Hey there, little buddy. How are you doing?"

"Keep that up and I'm gonna have to go fishing soon," Cayde comments as he steps into the bar, setting down a box of random tools beside the doorway and the large, cloth-wrapped package beside it. "Not that I don't mind fishing but sometimes it takes forever for anything to figure they wanna bite. ...I guess using bait helps. Wonder how they'd like bantha jerky..."

He shrugs, grinning over at the kid before he turns to consider the blank wall. Stooping down to pick out a piece of chalk from the little box, he straightens again to eye a spot on the wall before drawing a small X.

Around the Temple?

Like Padme's twins, Grogu was another one of those people Ezra had been worried about, but hadn't able to easily track down in Billy's City.

As soon as he spots the little guy, he kneels down on the ground to get closer to eye level.

"Hey, buddy. You and your dad ok, after all the weirdness? Were you two together?"

Oh hey, suddenly lap. Not that he minded. He liked Cobb, he was one of the people he trusted the most on that planet. And, hey, he was okay with being an excuse for a break!

He nodded. He was always hungry, where have you been?! He watched carefully as Cobb made quick work of the fruit. That was pretty impressive, actually. The comment got another head tilt. He looked up, making a curious noise as his ears flick. Well, yeah, he'd been with Din but he wanted to see other people, too! He took the fruit bit and smiled at Cobb before stuffing it into his mouth.

Grogu hadn't spent a lot of time in the greenhouse. He didn't really know anything about plants. Most of his life had either been spent hiding on a desert planet or in a temple where other people dealt with the greenery. He was curious, though. It was so pretty! And apparently some of it was edible.

When Shiro spoke, he smiled up at him. Making a happy noise, he raised his ears and tilted his head. He was doing well, thank you!

Grogu makes a trilling noise, turning to look at Cayde. What? Hey, he wasn't eating all of them! Okay, most of them. But what do you want? They're delicious and he's a growing boy!

But... what are you doing, Cayde? Curious, he climbs down from the chair and makes his way over to him. He points up at the X, tilting his head.

Ezra! Grogu smiles, making a happy noise and nodding. Yes, they were together. He's also happy that Ezra called him his Dad. That feels good. Tilting his head, he raises his ears curiously. Is he okay?

Ezra sends back through the Force his relief that Grogu hadn't felt alone and scared.

"....I'm mostly ok? I was with Obi-wan, except we had this whole life where he was my quiet, cheerful, slightly overprotective brother by birth. And I remembered both that life and this one, the entire time, but I couldn't really touch the Force. And he didn't remember at all, much less have any rare powers. So. That was a little wierd," he admits.

"Uh-huh. Don't give me that look. You know what you did. Didn't your dad teach you how to fish? That doesn't count as fishing by the way." Cayde, if you want to pull off stern, you shouldn't grin.

Looking back to the wall when the little one points at it, he smiles. "Whaddya think, kid? Good place for a sign? We'll have this place looking like a proper bar in no time. Just needa figure out how to wire it all." His gaze falls towards the large, flat bundle leaning against the wall, easily twice Grogu's size.

"Not gonna judge him for hidin' away." Cobb ate his own little bite of fruit which was juicy and just the right sort of sweet for him to enjoy it. "It can't be easy on him after so many people saw his face."

He has been patient, giving Din some time and space to work through that. He still wants to talk to him about what happened between them. The flirting. The kissing. There's a few things but he'll wait a little bit.

"You'll help him through it," he says as he offers Grogu another piece of fruit. "But if you need backup give me a call."

He would take that as a sign he was doing well since he seemed happy.

"Do you come here to take a look at the plants? I can show you some of the ones that are blooming right now."

Din really didn't know how to feel. The world they'd been dragged into, had been the complete opposite of his real life. But that wasn't shook Din up the most about it. It was the fact that he'd spent basically a month out of his armor. Even with the disguise, they'd seen at least a little of his face, heard his unfiltered voice. The creed had been stretched, almost as far as it could be, but hadn't really been broken. Still it's jolting. The only good thing was, now the majority of the people in the world were gone. But there were still a few in Temba that may know.

So he'd retreated, getting away from people. Maker knows, he had more than a fill of being around them in the last month. He hadn't really claimed it, but he'd retreated to an area of the city. That he knew was clear of any residences. Where he'd set up targets. His own personal shooting range, if you would. For when he was bored, and to keep up his skills.

But when Grogu finds him, he's not shooting targets. Instead he's seated on some debris in the area. Gaze focused on the pendant in his gloved hands, lost in his thoughts. The touch to his leg makes him jolt, and his gaze is quick to turn to the source. Only relaxing some when he realizes it's his ad'ika.

"Hey kid." Some how he shouldn't be surprised the kid could find him.

Peter was trying hard to get his bearings, but it was weird, okay? It was all very weird. Everyone was blowing up this new phone he suddenly had with stuff about other lives and being "back here", wherever here was, and then there was that sorry excuse for an Infinity Stone that had dumped a bunch of stuff in his head.

Really, a guy just had to try and cope, so what he'd been doing was crashing wherever looked comfiest at night and wandering around during the day, exploring, hunting for anything useful. He sees the little critter hop past first ... and then another critter following it.

"Huh," he says, curious. "Free entertainment."

Obi-Wan has been quiet and keeping to himself since they all got back from the whole ordeal. A definite cloud having settled over the Jedi as he tried readjusting to being back on Temba and having two sets of very different memories.

The Jedi Master had set himself in the building that they decided would be used for meditation, and was sitting on the large platform. Attempting to clear his mind and sort things out. However, it wasn't coming to him very easily.

He sighs in frustration at another failed attempt, and looks up just in time to see a little green padawan toddling in.

"Oh... hello Grogu."

Out an' About

The ARC Trooper isn't a frequent visitor of the Deep End, but that doesn't mean he won't stop in and take a break from...everything that has happened recently. And from what he's been trying to distract himself with after the fact.

Actually, he's also here to look for the proprietor of this fine establishment, but it appears Cayde isn't in.

But he sees Grogu is. As he tucks his helmet under an arm, his brow lifts, then creases slightly. "General– no." Echo quietly corrects himself; he's been told about the kid before, but this is the first time he's seen him in-person.

Grogu shook his head. No, it wasn't easy for him. He looked a little sad, his ears lowering as he thought about how hard a time Din was having. He was having a more difficult time, perhaps, than any of them.

The bit of encouragement got a look from Grogu. He smiled a little and nodded, taking the fruit with a happy burbling noise. Cobb is a good fried.

He nods, looking quite happy. It's nice to see people as himself again... though it did make things a lot easier when he could just send his words into their minds. But, hey, Shiro did pretty well by guessing that's what he was doing! Yes, please, show him the plants!

He blows a raspberry in Cayde's direction. Wow, rude. Also no, Din hasn't taught him how to fish.

A sign? Grogu follows Cayde's gaze to the bundle. He wants to see more! Toddling over, he tries to get a better look at it.

What? His eyes widen. He hadn't seen Obi-Wan at all! He's glad that he was okay, and that Ezra was there to watch over him. He can't even imagine how it must have felt, since Obi-Wan is their master.

Grogu makes a soft noise up at him. Hi, Dad. Your kid has been worried about you. What are you doing?

[the_child]

Grogu noticed the other... humanoid thing... but he was a little busy. He stalked the critter for another moment before pouncing and grabbing it in his little hands. Standing with a little victorious trill, he proceeds to stuff the entire critter in his mouth, tilting his head back so he could swallow it whole.

Only then did he turn to look at the newcomer. And wave.

Hi, Master! Grogu missed Master Kenobi terribly. He'd been fortunate enough to have been with Din during their time in the city, but he hadn't seen Master Kenobi at all. He'd spoken to Ezra, so he knew he was safe, at least, but it's a joy to see him again.

He makes his way over, making a happy noise. Though he can feel the frustration coming from his Master. He tilts his head and gives him a questioning look.
