WHO: Vash and you
WHERE: On the SS Twin Roses
WHAT: Exploring the ship
WHEN: When the ships first show up
WARNINGS: A sad Vash

Vash instantly knew what the ships were when they appear. After nearly five years on the fleet there was no way he couldn't know what the ships he lived on and saw every day looked like. He probably should be wary of the way they suddenly show up, but he throws those worries away. Climbing on board the Twin Roses straight away.

He moves down the halls of his old home. Noticing right away that the upgrades he and his crew had put into the ship were gone. Still, it was very much the Twin Roses. Here he can see parts of the Three Twins. Here was a piece of the Windrose. The reminder that this ship was the joining of two two.

When he reaches the pilot area he smiles and sits down in the seat that was his for so long. Remembering all of the times he flew the ship and all the planets that he landed this ship onto. He runs his hands over the controls and searches to see if any of his notes on all the planets they visited were hidden away somewhere, but alas they are also gone.

This ship felt oddly like home, but in other ways it felt nothing like home. The little personal touches that would have been left behind by the crew were gone. This fact hurts the most when he gets to the captain room that he had shared with Kitty. There was the bed that they shared, but anything personal was gone. There were none of her clothes. None of her treasures. Not even the few flowers he had kept. It was a painful reminder that she was gone. He was here in this world and he had watched her return home. A home he was terrified and nearly certain she would die in.

Why didn't he fight for her more!? He should have begged and demanded that she didn't go back. Or he should have gone with her!

Sinking down onto the bed he sits with his head in his hands. Quietly weeping and uncaring if anyone finds him there. “Kitty... I'm so sorry.”
