She nods, appreciating his sympathy. "Thank you. I am sure many of us were taken here from less than ideal circumstances." Looking back up at him, she smiled warmly - though it was sad around the edges. "I am glad you're safer for the time being. And I truly hope you will be able to see your family again."

Her heart goes out to the boy. She understands the feeling of being alone and frightened and missing loved ones. She makes a mental note to keep an eye on him as much as she can.
