[Not a hugely long time ago- he knows. But it's not like Tommy not to answer him.]

...He might have taken a shuttle somewhere, I just- I was just hoping someone had seen him.

[Billy tries to convince himself that's all this is.]

Sorry, haven't seen him. You try pinging him over these things? Otherwise I figure he'd be zipping around somewhere. It's a big ship.

I haven't heard back from him yet.

But yeah. Big ship. I'm sure he's somewhere...

It must be hard for him to be trapped in a closed space this long.

[Wanda takes a deep breath and tries to stifle her rising panic. Already she can feel a telltale tingling in her fingertips but no, she's not going to be able to find anyone if she doesn't stay in control.

Deep breaths. In, out. Stretch her senses as far as she can...

After a moment:] I can't feel him. But there is so much noise...

[Could mean something. Could mean nothing.]

[Billy mirrors her breathing, trying to use it to help keep himself grounded.]

He could've taken one of the shuttles- [He adds, wanting to hang onto any explanation but the most obvious one.]

He's not here?? Motherfu—

[the phone's audio crackles out at that second, just for a couple seconds or so; that's what happens when you have A Sudden Emotion when you're a living ball of magnetic/electromagnetic energy.]

[Back to Billy's pressing question now that her phone is behaving with her powers:]

Anyway, no, where have you checked?

Yeah... Hey listen, I'll keep an eye out for him and smack him upside the head first thing for making him worry you.

Do you want to go look together?

[She's gonna cling to hope for him as long as she can, even though she's got an awful sinking feeling in her stomach.]

Yeah, could we?

[There's a hopeful edge to his voice. He's not ready to lose him again.]

[There's small breath that might be something like a laugh, but there's not much spirit in it.]

Thanks. And it's probably fair, I make him worry all the time. I'm due.

[Billy's breath shutters a little, trying to keep calm, keep his own powers from acting out, and there's a soft sound of relief when her voice comes back.]

A-all his usual places. I've tried calling. I've tried spells.

[It's better than them both sitting alone going out of their minds.]

I'll come get you. Where are you?

That may be, but you don't tell him that. I'll still smack him one for you.

[He completely understands the anxiety of not hearing from one's sibling(s).]

[ There's a groan of something between annoyance and anger — not at him, but at the situation. She's been back here for somewhere that's around less than a month or a little over a month (what is time right now) and this shit. Why??? ]

I doubt I'll have better luck, but I'm gonna try anything I can anyway because screw not trying at all. If I have to rip these metal structures apart, so help me god I'm going to turn these places inside out to find any of you all.

[ Nevermind that she knows damn well her powers won't work on the materials of the ships' structures. Whatever, the sentiment still stands. And she'll do what she can, where she can, when she can for something like this. ]

I'm looking too. I thought maybe if he was just trying to avoid me or something that someone else would have seen him.

[Tommy's good at avoiding him when he wants to, but this doesn't seem like that. ]

Eh, second oldest out of four.

I sure haven't seen any hint of him. Here's hoping he didn't get a second power of invisibility. I'm guessing this means Wanda's had no luck tracking him down either?

[ Because if neither of the magic users in the family can do it...welp. ]

[And she stops only long enough to put on shoes before she runs there as fast as she can, then rushes to Billy and gives him a tight hug.

He's here, she hasn't lost him. Just give her a minute to let that sink in...and she's not going to be the first to let go unless this gets awkward.]

[Teddy knows that if Billy is asking for Tommy over the network it can only mean that he's exhausted all other options. Including magical options. Which means nothing good.

Rather than reply he immediately starts looking around the ship for Billy, hoping that he might run into a certain speedster along the way. When he finally finds his fiancé his expression is pinched with concern.]

Any luck?

[Billy almost tries to warn her back, but she pulls him in before he can, and gods he needs it. There's a faint glow that might be magic, or electricity that keeps lapping at his fingertips, threatening to discharge, but the hug bottles it back up for now.

He takes a slow breath, holding tight and tucking his head against her shoulder for a moment lifting shaking his head.]

...Hey.

[Is it obvious he's been crying? He's tried to hastily make himself more presentable, but he's sure she can see through him.]

I could tell.
Tommy says he's the oldest.
I'm the oldest with my other two.

He'd hate that.

[Billy seems reasonably sure of that assessment. Apart from a few pranks, he doesn't think his brother would enjoy that power at all.]

[Billy's face twists, apologetic for not seeking him out right away, and he shakes his head, tears threatening to swell up again.]

Not yet. I think-...nn- if he's gone home I shouldn't be upset, right? I mean- That's good, right? Why am I so upset?

[He pushes to find comfort in his fiancé's arms, sure Teddy's worried too and feeling a flash of guilt.]

I've got two little brothers. I'm sort of...adopted, in a way?
Our family situation is a little complicated.

Oh, I see. I mean, I guess technically me and my brothers are all adopted too. And my brother's got a crush on our sister which is weird and not because she's our father's actual daughter, so uh, we got complications too.

[Seeing Billy's face, he immediately steps closer, his hands reaching out to rest on his shoulders.]

Of course you'd be upset. He's your brother, and being a world away from family would be hard for anyone. I couldn't imagine leaving here without either of you.

[When Billy pushes closer Teddy pulls him into his embrace, wrapping his arms around him securely.]

It's too soon to start thinking he's gone for good. People do come back sometimes. Just like Lorna.

I know- He could come back. He might not even be gone- I just-

[Billy tries to take a steading breath, so grateful for Teddy.]

...I want to be there for him. I keep losing him. All this power and I can't-

[Electricity crackles at his fingertips and Billy breaks off.]

Wow. ...You might win. We'll hash it out when everything's not so...this.

[Raphael blurts out a laugh at that.]

That's one thing I'm not crazy about winning. But yeah. Gotcha.

[Even if he'd warned her, it wouldn't have made a difference. Nothing was going to stop her from hugging Billy right now. She knows this pain all too well.

She rubs soothing circles on his back, tries to bury her own rising panic as much as possible. She has to be strong for him. She's not his Wanda, not actually his mother, but he deserves all the motherly support she can manage.]

I've got you.

[Yeah, he can wipe his eyes but good luck hiding strong emotions from a telepath.]

I could see it getting annoying really fast. But yeah, uh if I find anything or any sign, I'll obviously let you know first thing.
