[As used to spaceships as Lance is, it's good to get out and stretch one's legs. Considering that they're flying into what could very well be a nasty right, even more so. He's been trying not to let his anxiety get the best of him. It's been a long time since he's been in battle, after all. When they reach the pit stop and he realizes that one locale is filled with water and has a tropical climate, he is all about that. His 21st birthday (time shenanigans aside) had come and gone the previous day with little fanfare, something that depressed him a little bit, but Keith had been nice enough to try making him breakfast in bed and really, that was enough.

Most of the days are spent by the beach. Lance helps the locales with odd jobs here and there in order to get food and drink. He even gets a big handful of fruit just for telling a story about Voltron. During the daylight, he'll either be tanning in the sun, splashing in the water, or sipping at a far too strong alcoholic beverage. He nibbles away at fruity tasting meat (which although grosses him out at first with the mix of the taste and texture, but he gets used to it) as well as the fruit. You might spot him with a knife trying to open up some of the fruit, cursing at his hand slipping every so often and hitting a spike.

At night, he'll take the time to stargaze, just laying about still on the beach. No matter what, it never gets old.]

[After the fifth 'ow - quiznack!' from Lance, Keith finally reached over and snatched the fruit.]

Give me that.

[He started cutting the spines off.]

[Look, he's trying! He sort of got the first fruit, though he thinks he might need a band-aid or two for his hand.]

[ Steve himself goes down to just be useful. He has a collection of meat and fruit just because he needs to take something for the work he's doing. Honestly, he's just looking for a distraction though. He walks along the beach between one job and the next and hears someone curse.

Steve smiles and walks over. ]

Need help with that fruit?

[He probably looks pretty pitiful at this point, doesn't he? Lance looks up with a wry smile, giving a nod.]

Um, honestly, yeah. I just can't get the hang of it.

[ Super strength and healing abilities were helpful. He takes the fruit and grips it tight before ripping it open ]

Here. Are they at least worth all the effort?

Holy quiznak, dude, are you superhuman or something?

[He's gonna be mad jelly at that display of strength, okay.]

Quiznak. That is a new word. But, yeah. Yeah, it is a long story but I am a bit stronger than the average human.

[ He accepts the fruit and hums as he tastes it. Not from Earth but still good. ]

Learned that one from an alien princess friend of mine. Apparently, it's kind of a curse word? I think. Definitely works as such.

[A nod, and he takes a bite of the fruit as well. Mmm. At least this fruity flavor comes from something that's meant to be fruit.]

Yeah. Yeah, Steve Rogers. [ He extends a hand for a shake ] You're Lance, right?

Strange that we haven't seen more of each other with all the kidnapping.

[He reaches in, giving him a firm handshake.]

Yeah, seriously. I think there's a lot of people here I don't know too well, even after all these months.

Yeah. I think we all need to have some sort of secondary party after all this time. Just to mingle a bit more.

Or maybe this mission will help us do that.

[ He shrugs. ]

At the very least, I am looking forward to maybe getting some answers.

Look... I don't want you cutting your hands to heck and back, okay? Just... I figured out a trick to it, so I'll do it.

[See? No problem. Spines were gone and yummy fruit revealed.]

Maybe once this mission is over. A victory party, yeah? No better time than that. I'm pretty good when it comes to party planning, so I can help set something up.

[Sure, he has no idea what kind of danger they're about to get into, but...he's confident they'll succeed.

He has to be.]

Agreed. There's still so little we know. Even after years of all this, I still don't know entirely what's going on. It's mostly just been living and surviving.

Oh. Huh.

[He looks at the fruit. Yay! And then he looks back up at Keith and reaches up with his very slightly injured hands.]

Kiss them better?

[tempredmental]

[Keith blinked.]

Huh? [Now he was confused.] What does kissing have to do with healing?

[the_tailor]

It just does. Kisses have healing power.

[And he waves his hands at him.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith blinked.]

That's just a thing to get kids to stop crying.

[In other words, Keith hadn't had someone do that for him since his dad died...]

[And he keeps waving his hands. C'mon, don't leave him hanging.]

[Okay, the waving hands in his face was a lot to handle and Keith could feel his hackles rising, so he reached out and grabbed them to get Lance to stop.]

Yes... it is.

[But he gave a small kiss to the knuckles of each hand anyway. See what he was willing to do for you, Lance?]

[the_tailor]

[It wouldn't have been a problem if you'd just acquiesced to his request to begin with! But when he finally kisses his hands, Lance beams at him.]

There... They're already feeling much better. And thus, is not.

[tempredmental]

It's psychological.

[Keith rolled his eyes, but he also smirked a bit.]

Nuh uh. They're gonna fully heal up much sooner than they would've otherwise. Just you wait and see.

[And he's just gonna pull him down for a kiss.]

[tempredmental]

Uh-huh... right, su- [But Lance cut him off with the kiss, and Keith resigned himself to just letting that happen.]

[the_tailor]

[Good. Just let it happen indeed, Keith. Not as if you don't enjoy Lance kisses. Eventually, he forces himself to pull away.]

So how are you? Having fun here?

[tempredmental]

It's not bad.

[Keith chuckled a little, and settled down next to him.]

The company's good.

[Smooth. Keith had his moments.]

Awww...

[Alright, he'll forgive him for his lack of faith earlier. Lance beams and kisses his cheek in response.]

Definitely. And now my day just got a ton better.

[tempredmental]

[Keith smiled a little.]

Good. I'm glad you agree. [He took back the fruit for a moment to cut off a slice, and then held it up.] Here.

[the_tailor]

Thanks, love!

[He takes said slice, and bites into it.]

Yuuuummmm... [And he wipes some juice off of his mouth.] You should have some too!

[tempredmental]

[Keith glanced around for a second and then quickly leaned in to steal a kiss before Lance could get all the juice off.]

Mm... maybe I will. Tastes good.

[Smirk.]

Hey! I mean... Okay, that's actually super romantic, so begrudgingly I will have to give you a point.

[He sticks his tongue out at him.]

Can I redeem my point for a slice of fruit?

[Hey, why not?]

I guess you can, but you'll have to slice it yourself. I came into this thinking I was just gonna nom my way through the thing. I mean, once I got it open, anyway.

[tempredmental]

[Keith shrugged and took the fruit back, easily slicing another piece off.]

Guess I'll just have to feed it to myself, too, huh?

[He delayed eating it, just holding the piece between them for a moment...]

You...

[Oh, Keith. Lance snorts and reaches up, grabbing the piece of fruit between them, and holds it up to Keith's lips.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith smirked and took the piece in his teeth, his eyes never leaving Lance's. He slowly sucked it in before chewing, slicing off another piece to hold out for Lance to eat this time.]

[the_tailor]

[Lance's eyes widen as he watches him eat the morsel of fruit.

Son of a bitch.

(Not literally, Krolia is a very good woman.)

His cheeks are pink and not just because of the sun.]

You know exactly what you're doing, don't you?

[A little huff, but he leans in, eating the fruit Keith's holding in a very similar fashion. Eyes on him.]

Oops, looks like your skin is all sticky now.

[He'll just...hum a little, licking any remaining fruit juice off of Keith's fingers.]

[Keith smirked a little, licking his lips.]

Are we gonna have to take this back to the room to finish?

[He quirked a flirtatious eyebrow.]

Y'know, I'm starting to think that we just might.

[tempredmental]

Sounds good to me.

[Keith squeezed Lance's hand.]

Whenever you want to head out... unless you want to get more fruit.
