Can't say I'm taking a lot of time for breaks these days. There's much to do, after all.

[Altair turns the camera on the hospital to show that, indeed, there's much he still needs to do. Even with help, he's still taken it upon himself to work as hard as he can.

Maybe that's why he hasn't turned the camera on himself.

The camera moves as he walks along, until he comes upon a small area with flowers- they're sort of a pinkish red, and they seem to shimmer in the light and Altair kneels down to let everyone get a better look at them.] I took one today though and went for a walk- and found these.

[He reaches down to touch one, wearing gloves just in case he shouldn't be touching them with his bare skin, but hands- as he touches one of the flowers, the pink color draws in on itself where he's touching the petals, the color becoming more intense, while the edges turn translucent.

When he moves his finger away, it returns to its normal state.] I can't say I've ever seen a flower do that before. It's pretty.

[He holds a hand out then, as a bug comes flying, letting it land on one of his fingers. It looks sort of like some sort of bee and he turns his hand as the bug moves until it's resting near his palm, fluttering its wings.] Plenty of these little guys around too. I like it here, I think.

[Excuse him, everyone, he's in full flower and bug loving mode.]

Do you even take breaks when I'm not telling you to?

[ Guess who comes walking up just behind you, Altair, wearing his usual frown along with that inquisitive look of his. ]

Sometimes I believe that is my main job here. But please- [ He points at the bug, but also referring to the flowers. ] We should try to make sure these don't get inside. The last any hospital needs is an infestation of insects we know next to nothing about.

[ That said, he holds out a small bag he has been bringing along, clearing meaning for Altair to take it. Inside: Food. Mostly an assortment of what is being grown in the greenhouse. Though there is also a bar of chocolate added to the mix. Handing the Sith food has in a way become a habit of the Archivist.

At least his own feeding needs have been... Manageable. ]

Sometimes. I do go home to sleep.

[That doesn't really count, he supposes. Most being need sleep, after all, and he doesn't even sleep as long as he should, always.

And sometimes he just sleeps in the hospital, instead of going home, depending on how much he feels he needs to get done. Still, he's out resting now.] Honestly I think my friends here are just attracted to the flowers. I'll try to make sure they don't get into the hospital.

[He turns his hand slightly as the bug moves.] It's cute though.

[Altair's brows raise as Jon holds out the bag of food, and he can't help but smile a little. Jon is entirely too kind of a friend.] Do I look like I'm starving again?

When don't you look like you are starving, Altair.

[ Jon sighs a little with his own words. Altair is mostly lucky that the Archivist doesn't consume solid food anymore and has plain taken to pass on whatever food he ends up collecting. Though he can't exactly hover around the Chiss all day long. Not when he wants to get anything done himself.

He's also not going to mention just how many of these bugs he has killed over the past few days. They may not be worms, but he's still not too inclined to let them invade his working spaces. ]

So... You enjoy your time here...?

[ There isn't any compulsion in this question. It's more idle curiosity. And even his body isn't too willing on wasting what energy it has by accident these days. ]

Compared to how I used to look, I'm positively healthy now.

[Yes, he used to be even thinner.]

On Agra 10 in general, or here in particular.

[The bug in his hand flies off, and Altair can finally take the bag of food, with a quiet thanks as he really is thankful to Jon for looking after him. He's still more used to being the one looking after others, but he does appreciate it.]

I know someone back on my ship who'd probably like those. He has a whole space set aside just for a terrarium. Whenever I went out exploring whatever planets we'd find ourselves on, he'd ask me to bring some plant samples if I could find any.

And it's unhealthy thinking to use an unhealthier time of your life as base for comparison, Altair.

[ Just some gentle chiding. Come on, he already told you that looking after others begins by looking after yourself.

And then he shrugs once, feeling pacified by Altair accepting the food. ]

I don't know. Which were you referring to? I don't doubt that some of us are comfortable on this new planet. So far it's quiet?

[ Personally, Jon could do with a bit more present fear, but that's just him. ]

Wish I could do something like that back on the Fury in my own time. But Sith ships aren't exactly made to keep things alive.

[And he had had very little time to customize it to actually suit his needs.] Sounds like your friend and I would get along though, at least on the topic of plants.

[Cal laughs a little.]

The farther removed from danger a topic is, the more likely he'd be able to get along with anyone. I'm sure he would have appreciated someone to talk plants with him.

Where'd you find them? BeeDee wants to get some scans in.

I don't think I was unhealthy, necessarily.

[Not really.

Not that he'd noticed. He was strong in the Force, after all, so he hadn't really had to think about his physical condition much at all.]

Honestly this place is more quiet than home, and my life has never been quite so... Predictable. I have my duties at home, but...

[Well, he's got Hux, and Eli, and Jon, and other friends here too. And time apparently stands damn near still at home while they're here, so... He's not worried about home, but he does worry for the loved ones he has here.] The war at home is over and Valkorion- the former Emperor- is dead. Not just dead, but staying dead for once in his accursed existence.

So I'm glad to be able to devote my time now to the loved ones I have here. My own world is no longer completely on fire, after all.

[Not that there isn't a mountain of guilt lingering in him for all the things he couldn't prevent, the people he couldn't save.

But those were feelings he could wallow in some other day.]

I guess plants might be the only safe topic then, should I get to meet him.

[The rest of his life has been full of danger, after all. As a Sith, as Alliance Commander, and as Emperor.

He moves the camera then to point up at the hospital in the distance, tilting it to show a path from the back of the building.] Think you'll be able to find it or should I draw you a map?

[ Jon simply waves the argument off. By now he's rather familiar with Altair's brand of self-awareness. He will just have to keep bringing him food and chasing him away from work every once in a while as long as he can.

He tucks his hands away in the pockets of his pants and turns his attention towards the surrounding city - Or much rather its ruins. ]

It is indeed quiet. Almost dreadfully, so... [ He muses. ] Doesn't it make you wonder just how long this quiet will last? When we will be torn away from this peaceful illusion by the next storm deciding to tear through this place? Or maybe something even worse than the storms...

[ Just shedding some gloom over here, sorry. ]

Greez does take some time in warming up to people, but he's a good guy.

[He tilts his head as he studies the images as Altair turns the camera towards the area in question.]

Hm. Yeah, I think I have an idea where that is. And a little walking won't hurt in general.

I've found that it's best to enjoy the peace for however long it lasts, to be honest. My life rather has enjoyed being random, and trying to guess what's going to happen next...

[He shakes his head.

The closest he's gotten at a glimpse of the future is Ashara's vision that he was going to die, a vision that did not come to pass.

Or hasn't yet, at least.] Maybe I'll die again. Or get maimed by something or other. Or maybe, things will just be quiet for a while.

Half the fun is not knowing. [There's a healthy dose of snark there. He likes to at least be prepared.]

In my experience, those are the trustworthy types. Of course, I'm more familiar with Sith than anyone else...

[If a Sith treats someone nicely immediately, they're usually up to no good.

Of course, he tends to be pleasant, when one meets him. So he supposes even that depends on the Sith in question.] Do we really do anything besides walk, here?

[Not like they have speeders, or even animals fit to ride around on. There are the glownies, but... No.] We have all the time in the world here to stretch our legs enough to be content for the next hundred years or so.

[With no other Sith to compare to, Cal can only trust Altair's words. The Chiss has already said as much about the differences between himself and his fellow Sith.]

Heh. I guess that's true enough. At least I'm used to it.

[He'd had no speeders to get around, but he doesn't mind doing so by foot.]

You see so much more when you're on foot anyway.

Personally, I loathe not knowing.

[ And that's only partially an Eye-thing. Jon has always been striving for knowledge, always been asking too many questions, always been pressing further... Which may well be why Beholding allegedly likes him. Not that he has much need for that particular affection.

He casts a chiding look at the Chiss. ]

No dying. No getting maimed. if you want to help those in need of said help, you must remain functional - And preferably in one piece.

[ A pause. ]

I got us some supplies, by the way. Through the replicator. It's not much, but... It should be of use for dire cases.

[ And upcoming births. ]

I certainly don't plan on getting maimed. Or killed.

[But he doesn't know whether or not he will be.

He doesn't really have any visions, either. When he looks to the future, it's always in the context of a fight- predicting which blow would come next.

So trying to make himself see the future to know?

Not his thing.] I just don't know that I won't be.

[And he'd rather move forward fearlessly. Or as fearlessly as he can.]

Thank you, [He gives a slight bow of his head to further punctuate his thankfulness.] I intend to get supplies in the same way. The replicator isn't something I should use frivolously.

[They should all take care, really.

But especially him, since his focus is the hospital.]

If a Sith is nice to you, either prepare for a fight or run for the hills- whichever you prefer. Don't trust them.

[There's concern there. And maybe some very real fear beneath it.

Never mind that he himself is Sith and is proud to call himself Sith.] That you do. Though even back home, my companions said I wasn't allowed to drive a speeder.

[He puts a hand over his eyes then- and smiles.] Given that I wore a veil or a blindfold in public... One didn't really want me driving, you know? Regardless of my ability to sense my surroundings being well-honed.

[He moves his hand away again, still smiling.] I'm fairly certain that the Miraluka were allowed to drive though. I suppose it feels less trustworthy when you're a Chiss...

Noted.

[Although that makes Cal wonder which would be the worse to run into, a nice Sith with ulterior motives or a Sith true to the nature of what he's heard from the old histories and stories.]

That's a shame. I'm sure you can navigate even better through the Force than by sight alone.

[He laughs.]

I wonder if the Agrii even had any methods of transportation here. I haven't seen any signs of vehicles so far.

Oh, I've been collecting things here and there to see if they're salvageable. Clearing out a place in the northwestern part of the city to use as a repair bay. If for nothing else, at least salvage some spare parts that might still be useful.

[ And Jon simply casts Altair a look. ]

Honestly? Should you ever plan doing either of these things, I demand that you tell me.

[ He means it. He will tie you down or something. Or summon all his weird eldritch powers to compel you to sit still until that desire is gone or... Well. He doesn't really know what he will do. Or what he can do that might even work. Maybe just rant at you to stop having those thoughts. ]

Do I truly seem so reckless?

[Don't answer that.

Or okay, answer it.

Still, he doesn't get where this notion that this is something he would plan is coming from. He's always felt that he's rather level-headed for a Sith, preferring reason and rationality.

Apparently the image he actually gives off is quite different.]

[ You know, Jon simply gestures towards the bag of food. He wouldn't necessarily call it reckless. Rather... Not always mindful of yourself. ]

Call it... Bad experience with lacking communication that could have prevented a lot.

Wow man, that looks cool. There's...

[Tommy pauses as he tries to fetch at a moment from his past. From the American South West. Maybe? Who even knows.]

So, uh, there's this plant back on my planet that, to protect itself, the leaves curl together to hide if something brushes against them. It's REALLY cool. Sort of like that. I wonder if it's a defensive mechanism.

I promise I'll tell you if I feel like going off and doing something stupid.

[He'll try to at least.

If someone he cares for are in danger though, all bets are off.] Like I said though, life here is less dangerous and more predictable than my life at home.

I've been here a while, and there have been no one's even tried to assassinate me yet.

[That was a joke.

But at home it's actually a valid concern.

And something he's been through already.]

I know, right? I tried to explain that to my companions at home, even the Force-sensitive ones, and they were all convinced that if they let me drive with my veil on, I'd drive myself into a cliffside or something.

[Where's the trust in his abilities???]

I haven't either... Maybe they had a different way to travel long distances, other than the ships, too.

[They probably won't get any answers on how any part of Agrii society functioned any time soon.]

Important task, that. Honestly even though I've been here a while, I'm still not quite used to scavenging... I used to steal things when I was a child, but... That's not quite the same.
