Radley had mixed feelings about finding more people in here. He couldn't deny part of him was glad he didn't have to figure this out alone, but on the other hand, if something went wrong, more of them would die. And he was probably the least suited to this type of situation out of the three of them; he imagined Donnie and Keith both had likely encountered dangerous scenarios like fires before. (Of course, he could be wrong.) But he didn't want to be a burden, just as he felt he had been back home.
"It's another murder scene!" he said to Donnie. "And this time we're the victims!"
He looked to Keith, nodded, and struggled to go deeper in. He tried to watch where he was going so he wouldn't trip on anything, but he could still feel the gross substance under his feet. Was it really blood?! He kept hoping it wasn't, but ...
He coughed, trying to look around at the walls and the floors. "Maybe if there's a loose beam here or something to ram the wall with...." He found one on the floor and reached for it. At the same moment, he could hear the old building creaking dangerously all around them. "If we don't get out of here soon, it's probably gonna collapse!" he exclaimed.
That was only making him more afraid. Collapsing mine tunnels had always been a phobia of his. Collapsing burning buildings weren't any better.
