The Soldier sighed softly. Better for Eddie to drop it, to take the out the Soldier offered, than to nurse the idea that he needed to help. Stumbling over the Soldier's issues didn't obligate him to help out.

"I appreciate that." He really did. "But you do not need to feel responsibility to offer help, just because you stumbled upon what I am. I am functional; that is all that is needed."
