[ Sometimes you have questions that need answering about other places. So, time to survey people about it. ]

I know there's several people here from places where magic and other powers, and/or other such things, exist — question from someone who comes from a place where none of that is something that exists: How does the weird stuff that happens here compare to what goes on where you're from?

[ Because coming from a the most mundane of places to here sure was a thing to make this be more and more wondered about. ]

Feels pretty par for the course for back home if you ask me. But weird shit always happens back in my Earth.

I didn't encounter any magic back home myself, but there were news reports about this loco cult making monsters of the Nazca Lines and trying to destroy the world with them. So some of the stuff that's happened here sounds just as scary as that, at least that thing with the parallel universe and Hell monsters coming out of it.

At least it wasn't 'succeeded in destroying the world'? Not that an attempt sounds like a great time either. Cults make everything weird.

Yeah, there were some good magic users who stopped them or something. It all sounded pretty bizarre. I was just glad they didn't bother us. We were pretty close to where it was all going down.

Bingo. I'm from a world of superheroes and villains. Of course things are pretty weird most of the time.

Bizarre might even be an understatement. What kind of magic is it they used there?

Magical trading cards, I think. Most of the problems in my world seem to be solved by playing high stakes card games. I know that sounds insane.

Hopefully not in a 'who's threatening the apocalypse this week' kind of way because that sounds stressful. Maybe just like one near apocalypse a month or somewhere around there if never isn't an option.

Oh, it's definitely in the who is threatening the apocalypse, though you're right. USUALLY it's only about monthly. At least, the ones I'm aware of. I don't deal in mystical apocalypses.
