Who: Keith, OPEN
What: Checking things out, getting sick
When: First week after arrival
Where: Around town, greenhouse and zoo, hospital, hotel
Warnings: Uhh... sick? Will add if more.

[Keith was checking out various buildings to see what state they were in and if any were useful outside the main ones they'd found so far. Some store-like places were around, the main Data Point, the fountain... but so far, everything was pretty rundown. No running water, no electricity, and the danger of one of these buildings collapsing or someone falling through a floor... it wasn't great.
Keith was a little dismayed that he didn't have his armor with him, either. He could have used the flashlight in the wrist gauntlet by now.
He debated heading into the woods and exploring beyond the limits (and it looked like there was something not that far away from one end of town...), but he'd learned the hard way in life that some things were done better in teams. He'd go if he met someone else willing, but, on his own? He'll try to see what he can from the town for now and then go later once he had a solid partner with him.
He made his way through various buildings, stepping carefully and looking for people who might have woken up in precarious situations. Also because he wanted to see more familiar faces. There were some, but having people he knew around helped a lot. Of course, so did Kosmo... the young cosmic wolf, not a pup anymore, but not full-grown and somewhat lanky looking, followed along, extremely attentive to Keith as if waiting for a signal to do something.]
=====
[Now this was handy. It would help get things started and make sure they were fed, that was for sure. As long as there were no weird cherries or striped meat, they should be good, right? He explored the place, checking to see how things were working. Except, it all looked insanely alien to him. He supposed he could hit the Data Point here, right?
As much as he hated to clutter it up with notes, he had the sketchbook and pencil set Shiro had given him back in the Fleet with him, but it was the only thing he had to write on and with at the moment. He flipped it open, starting from the back, determined to find something else later on to use as he resigned himself to this one necessity for now.
He could be found wandering about, scribbling down notes and other things after hitting up the Data Point.]
=====
[First things first... Keith noticed that using the Data Point downloaded a decent amount of information to him about the hospital and how to make use of it. But, he also realize belatedly and upon attempting to remember what he'd learned at the Greenhouse, that he couldn't recall any of it. He tapped his pencil on the pages of notes in the sketchbook, bewildered for a second, but realized that it was likely similar to switching an augment in the Fleet. The information for the previous "job" was replaced with the new information.
He definitely made a note of that.
Onward into the building, it was still somewhat stocked and looked fairly usable, much like the hotel, and there were dilapidated but repairable things around the building. They could feasibly get this up and running, which would be pretty handy considering their situation. By now, he'd heard people talking about a power plant somewhere off beyond the limits of what they currently could easily access. Those three things would be the most important right now. Power, food, medical care.
In his wanderings, he came upon the containment room with its flasks everywhere, and it looked like someone had already dropped one. He leaned down to take a look, not touching, but that didn't matter anyway unbeknownst to him, and noticed that it was a liquid. Considering it was still a liquid and not dried up, it had to be fairly recent. He frowned a bit in concern, and, using his new knowledge, managed to clean it up for now.
He just hoped it wasn't dangerous or airborne.................]
=====
[So, apparently, whatever it was in the hospital was airborne, and Keith had broken out into really itchy spots. He was pretty sure it was some sort of crazy version of chicken pox, but he'd been vaccinated back home... so, it had to be some weird alien version, which made this even worse.
Either that, or human vaccinations didn't work on half-Galra, but he'd never gotten chicken pox as a kid, so he supposed maybe it did? Not that he knew back when he got the vaccination that he was half-Galra... quiznak. Why did things have to be so complicated?]
