The Team that Seals the Arcade Gate
WHO: Team Arcade Gate!
WHERE: The arcade
WHAT: Time to kill a mindflater and destroy the gate
WHEN: Somewhere between October 14-17
WARNINGS: Violence, probably injuries, anything else you might reasonably expect from a mindflayer battle
i. Planning?
Link, of course, accompanies Zelda to the arcade. They stand just outside, waiting for the others to arrive. Inside is the Gate - just barely visible, if you look through the windows at just the right angle.
As they wait, Link is taking stock. Thanks to Robin, he's managed to make himself a new weapon: firebombs. He sets the glass bottles filled with flammable liquid down on the pavement, lining them up in a neat little row. Then takes out an arrow, considering it. If only he could figure out how to attack it to his arrows...
ii. Through the Gate
Eventually, it's time to go.
Inside the arcade. Inside the Gate, a red gash on one of the walls like a wound. They emerge seemingly from the same place they entered - the arcade. But now there are floating motes hanging in the air, moise vines creeping over the surfaces of the arcade - and an unearthly, ominous sense to the place.
And Link's blade - the Sword that Seals the Darkness - is now glowing a bright, ethereal blue.
