[Storm] just Sonic sucking at survival horror real good
WHO: Sonic! Whoever feels like saving Sonic from monsters!
WHERE: Anywhere in Temba babyyyy
WHAT: It's storm time and Sonic is dealing with basic hedgehog stats
WHEN: Early storm, before powers start coming back. because i am cruel
WARNINGS: blood, mouth related body horror, sentient vines/tentacles, choking, 'animal' attacks - all of the above are possible depending on how threads go!
Look, it's not like Sonic didn't want to take Tommy's advice and not go out in a storm. He very much didn't want to be out here! He had no speed and no way to call anyone short of literally yelling at the top of his lungs (not the best strategy when you're trying not to be noticed), so why would he go outside? Out in that creepy fog, with that screwed up sky and all the horrible animal noises?
It might have something to do with the broken window in the building he'd been hiding out in letting in a creepy bat, which quickly became ten creepy bats, which soon became ten creepy bats and a pack of terrible dogs. Long story short, he'd been forced right back outside because he didn't want to be a snack. He managed to get a bit of a head start on the murder bats and yikes puppies by slamming the door on them on his way out, but there's still the matter of the broken window of course, so it only helps for so long.
Dumb slow Sonic comes in four horrible flavors:
HOOFIN' IT-
Sonic's actively in the middle of running for his life as fast as he currently can. It's not fast, but so far he's been agile enough to at least be able to dodge some dogs around buildings and whatever rubble remains from the volcano. He's losing steam, though, and he looks equal parts terrified and annoyed. Well, leaning maybe a little more into terrified as the freaky critters gain on him. He's used to robots, okay. Not things that want to eat him.
SONIC SPINBALL (minus the spin)-
Having been cornered and unable to do his usual dope stunts, Sonic's in a bit of a pickle. Go Fast instincts are not currently viable, but normal hedgehog instincts totally are. He's shouting for an assist of course, and anyone daring enough to try to help will come upon kind of a weird scene. Sonic's curled up in a perfect little spike ball, a few quills already caught in one of the Demodog's mouths while a remaining two circle Sonic, trying to decide how best to chomp the danger snack without getting a mouthful of stab.
"Yo, anyone out there? Little help, maybe?"
He doesn't sound nearly as concerned as he actually is. That won't last.
THIS IS THE ONE WITH THE BLOOD (cw: the aforementioned blood + 'animal' attacks)-
Hedgehog spikeball can't work forever, and Sonic's luck and stamina have all but run out. He'd managed to evade getting chomped for a while, even found himself a nice hidey hole in some rubble while waiting for a small pack of Demodoggos to pass, but a couple of those shitty recon bats gave his location away. Very uncool.
A Demodog's managed to snag him by the foot. Or, well, most of the leg. He's not very big, which makes him easy to drag around, naturally. With no cool powers or abilities at his disposal, Sonic has to make due with what he's got, which in this case is a chunk of rubble that he snagged while trying to keep the screwed up monster from dragging him out into the open. He is bashing that thing in the head as hard as he can, which isn't too impressive given his current state, but his constant thrashing about has kept him from being eaten so far. It's probably also just made his wounds worse, though, if the trail of blood left in his wake is any indication.
Even Sonic isn't cool enough to not panic at this point. He's got a full panic going, but it's one of those adrenaline fuled pissed off panics which is kind of helping him with the monster bashing. He's not so much screaming for help as he is screaming at the Demodog to spit him out, but it can most certainly be assumed that he needs some damn help plz?? Before he attracts additional doggos, or even something worse. He is kind of bleeding a lot.
HERE LET ME HELP WITH MY NORMAL HEDGEHOG STATS-
He can't do much at the moment, but being one of those big dumb hero types, Sonic is always going to choose helping someone in need over keeping his own ass out of trouble. Too bad he's terrible at planning ahead. Maybe he's spotted someone being cornered by some Demodogs or getting divebombed by Demobats. Whatever the case, Sonic's usual method of charging in and bouncing off if in spikeball form isn't going to work, but what he can do is try to get their attention. Usually by throwing stuff. This will go well.
"Over here, gnarly! There's plenty more rocks where that came fro- Oh. Crap. Ohh, I didn't think this through. Oh crap. Crapcrapcrap..."
As far as rescues go, this one kind of sucks, huh.
