Donnie made it sound like he was looking for reasons not to use the blackmail material he didn't get, leaving Tony watching him narrowly, not sure if it was some kind of cover or Donnie really managed to be thrown into one of those dreams and not see someone's most rusted inner workings, and on top of that happened to have a moral compass strong enough that he wouldn't even take the hypothetical advantage. Annoying.
