WHO: Lerith and OPEN
WHERE: Diner!
WHAT: Come eat up because monsters!
WHEN: During the Monster attacks
WARNINGS: N/A
There were monsters outside. Something Lerith really hadn't seen since traveling Thedas after the sky was ripped open. Well, then it was sealed again, but there was talk of rifts still about the world.
Maybe that's what was happening here? All Lerith knew was that he was somewhat trapped in the diner. Why not make the best of it? Getting out and prepping ingredients, Lerith used his fire magic to see by and heat up things until he could make food. It... wasn't efficient and he'd take any help from someone, but for now, the elf was holding his own.
A fresh bowl of some sort of... what he hopes is vegetable soup gets set down on the counter, with his knuckles rapping for attention. His motions and signings are easier to do like this, but he'll still pick up the communicator to talk with others.
'Would you also like soup? Its easiest to make,' comes Jon's voice from the communicator.

The girl ducks into the diner mostly because she heard something near the city square and hadn't wanted to be spotted. Hearing the knocking, she blinks and smiles a bit in relief as she finds she's not the only one here.
"Lerith! Are you doing all right?"
Omega wanders over, glancing towards the bowl. "Mmm, it smells good. What kind is it?"

He gives the bowl a gently push. 'Vegetable. I think. Saw all the creatures outside and sort of got stuck in here so I decided to make food. For people who come in.' He holds up a hand to make a small flame that flickers then stays strong.
'I have this in case the lights go out again.' The flame gets snuffed and then there’s the clatter of silverware for a moment before he produces a spoon for her.

If she can't fight the threats, she can at least make sure other people are safe. And it looks like Lerith is trying to help in his own way as well.
"I've never seen such big creatures before. Moochi wasn't nearly as huge, but she was sweet."
Hauling herself up onto a chair by the counter, Omega looks at the bowl before she lifts her head to watch as Lerith conjures up a fire in his own hand.
"Whoa.... That's amazing! And useful," she says, thanking him for the spoon, which she puts into the soup to stir it around. "I hope the others are okay out there."

Those large ears droop a little. 'I hope so too. I can’t really fight so I want to be useful in other ways. People always need to eat so I figured since I was already here.'
He fusses with the scarf about his neck for a moment. 'You’re staying safe right? When you’re not here that is. I don’t want you to get hurt trying to fight those big creatures.'

She tries some of the soup, brightening a little. "Mm, I think I like this," she says, having a little more.
"There are probably better ways to fight them. The big creatures. The problem is they can do a lot of damage. I'm not sure how to keep them from destroying things."

He leans against the counter, eyes focusing elsewhere while she eats. 'The damage is a problem. The only solution I can think of to help would cause more damage and I don’t want that. Some archers at home used fire on their arrows to help do more damage against those that attacked Haven.' Lerith finally sits back, expression still thoughtful.
'Theres the option of poison from the greenhouse, but that means you might have to get close, or get a really good shot off with your arrows with enough of a dose to be effective. What do you think?'

"Poison...? Oh, you mean with my arrows?" Omega frowns a bit. "I'm not sure it will work very well. My arrows aren't like the ones at the stalls they had here once. Here, I'll show you."
Shifting on the stool, she carefully unslings the compacted weapon from her back. It springs open with a tap of a switch, a magenta light beaming where 'strings' would be, and another shaft going through some kind of central mechanism where one would presumably nock an arrow. As she gives it a slight pull, the energy forms more of a head on the other end as it charges.
