A Man on Various Missions

WHO: Wesker & Whoever dares bothering him
WHERE: Around Temba - Hangar, Power Plant, Whale Comb Sent Her, Residence Towers, Greenhouse
WHAT: A man's gotta stay busy...
WHEN: April
WARNINGS: Wesker being Wesker.
NOTES: I'm afraid that he's incredibly antisocial at the moment and it shows in the prompts.

Kind of a Hobby [ Somewhere between the Power Plant & Whale Comb Sent Her ]
Wandering back and forth between the power plant and the center of the city may be a bit of a trek, but it's not necessarily one Wesker minds. What he minds more is the time he has to waste out of pure necessity. A necessity he has brought upon himself, he will admit as much, but not one he deems useless. Upgrading and tending to your weapons is never useless in his opinion. But doing so properly turns out to be pretty tedious due to the strange laws of this world.

In order to work on the weapons he is able to use while being linked to the security expertize, Wesker has to move all the way to the power plant to switch to the engineering expertize and in order to test his adjustments and modifications he has to walk all the way back to the Whale Comb Sent Her. This setup results in Wesker wandering between both locations repeatedly, carrying the same alien weapons with him every time. Weapons that also required some getting used to with him being very used to handling weapons with actually palpable ammunition.

It's always on his way back to the power plant that Wesker stops at the same spot where there are no actual buildings around, yet some of the debris has been brought together to serve as targets for his modifications. When he spots someone close by, he keeps his weapon lowered, secured and his eyes on the other person, wordlessly waiting for them to be on their way, not bothering to try ordering anyone around.

Almost like watching TV [ Hangar ]
Why anyone would stay anywhere other than with the ship they were assigned to may be a bit of a mystery to Wesker, but not one he is too set on solving or a circumstance he feels the need to complain about. The ships offer everything a person needs to live: Food, water, a place to rest and clean themselves as well as their belongings. The protein paste provided is sufficient to keep him going and also spares him the hassle of actually preparing any food. And considering the amount of energy his body requires to keep going, it's also much more efficient than attempting to feed himself by other means.

Since he sees no actual use in any of the locals to find his way back home, Wesker doesn't bother with socializing at this point. He spends some time every day at the hospital, doing his research and exchanges a few words with Dr. Takemi or even Billy should their paths cross. And when he's not at the hospital or investigating various places in and around Temba, Wesker spends time with the ships, usually after picking up the engineering expertize to gain further understanding of the workings and technology of the ships. He has yet to attempt any modifications, but given that these are space ships and not merely weapons, he remains more reluctant to alter anything. But he is learning while checking hulls, tightening bolts and checking for wiring that may require replacing. Odd work for him, maybe, but he refuses to trust these vehicles to safely transport him off of this planet unless he has ensured their safety himself.

It's the ship that goes by the name Flygood that's bothering him a little. It has no crew assigned to it and appears to be serving as some sort of- Shrine? Museum? Archive? Whatever is going on with that ship concerns him. But there are things to learn from the changing pictures that never fail to deepen the scowl set above Wesker's dark glasses. "No wonder everyone is still stuck here." He mutters darkly to himself as he steps out of the happily painted ship after his routinely check on what the pictures have to tell him this time.

Scientific Destruction [ Residence Towers ]
Everyone is familiar with the Deep End and its location as part of a rather peculiar set of towers that are connected by high concrete walls that trap their own little watery ecosystem between them.

It's in one of the towers opposite of where Cayde's bar is located that some rather loud construction is taking place. Or is it destruction? From the outside it certainly sounds like someone is kicking in doors and tearing through furniture and walls somewhere in the building. It could be a person scavenging. Or some of the local fauna trying to make the place its home. Or it could be some sort of aggressive creature that somehow ended up inside and is now throwing a fit due to having gotten lost.

Do you dare investigate?

Checking them Herbs [ Greenhouse ]
Wesker knows how to combine herbs to create different remedies. Green herbs and red herbs and sometimes blue herbs. Every member of S.T.A.R.S. knows these things. Even if S.T.A.R.S. is a relict of the past, the knowledge remains. But Wesker's knowledge isn't limited to these herbs. He has spent enough years conducting, studying and stealing research to know his way around mixing and creating all types of mixtures and solutions. And sometimes creating deadly viruses.

But that's not why he has stopped by the Greenhouse. He actually is interested in the various herbs and their potential uses. The data point located there assists with some at least temporary understanding of what he is looking at as he is studying the selection of seeds, but so far nothing really sticks out to him that will make the loss of knowledge an actual loss.

Most of what can be found in this place are plants meant to be turned into food, which makes sense and Wesker has no reason to meddle with any of these. What he is more interested in are which of the plants may be used as easily accessible medicine. And he is currently eyeing one of those specimen that at the very least appears somewhat similar to the green herbs he is more familiar with. He cuts off a small branch of the plant and makes to leave.
