[Enjoy a video shot of Gladio as he's entering one of the ships, in full uniform, and with a stuffed pack over his shoulder. That will be the visual as Gladio walks through the ship to the cockpit. It is interesting to look at, though, given the beautiful wood-like paneling of the Starkduck.]

Hey. Just got back, more or less, from a train trip to Sh'Ka. Saw the weirdest shit there. There were these huge creatures, look a bit like Garulas from back home. Reason I'm mentioning it is because I haven't seen anything like them in Sh'Ka before.

Anyway, they look smaller, easier to take down than the Bunnyboars. And we need to restock the meat supplies, get all curing and drying and all that. And steaks. So, I'm going to take and pick out some of the herd. Definitely going hunting, but if they seem placid enough, maybe I'm going to try and bring some back too.

Could use some help. Anyone up for some wrangling like some proper Chocobros, help me herd some onto the Starduck to bring them in for easier handling, let me know. I'm going to be setting up the hold here for my aims for a few hours, so if you make it to the Starduck in the next two hours and you're equipped for a hunt and herding, you're welcome to join.

"Well, yeah." Keith shrugged a little. "I mean, it's only useful to people who can use it. No point in keeping it if you can't use it. But there are people here who can, right? So, we could bring it back to town for them. Maybe herd a few of these, and like... cut the hair off seasonally or something. Like they do with sheep." Though, he looked at the herd down there again.

"If we can actually herd them..."

"You need help?" If he does, Link could pull Keith up on to his own Bantha. The beast is certainly big enough to seat two. But maybe Keith would rather catch his own?

HUh, sounds interesting.

"You know anyone around here who does that? Works fiber craft or whatever?"

Still, herding them would be a thing. Hopefully there's someone around who is good at that. Little does Gladio know that's going to be him soon enough.

"Uh..." Keith considered his options. Maybe a refresher wouldn't be so bad. "Probably a good idea," he admitted. "It's been a long time since I've ridden a live animal." And falling off something that big? It was gonna hurt... a lot.

"Yeah... her name is Lark." Keith nodded. "She does some magic with it, too."

Oh, Gladio... looks like you've picked up a new job. Keith had no idea how to do any of that.

Huh, that sounds weird, but he'll shrug that off.

"I'll see if I can find it."

That said, he was never going to intend to take care of the things. No, he was going to get roped into it by his boyfriend.

Keith nodded.

"Alright. I can let her know, too, next time I see her... see if she's interested in working with it."

"Alright," Gladio says with a nod. It sounds like a plan actually. "We'll see about it. Maybe there will be clothes."

Link nods. Grips one of the bantha's horns with one hand, and then reaches down with the other for Keith to grab.

Either Keith can use Link's arm to get himself up - or Link can just pull him up.

"Yeah. We could definitely use a stronger supply of that stuff around here... blankets, clothes, all that stuff."

Keith looked over the herd again. They seemed pretty docile for now.

"When do we want to consider trying to move them closer to town?"

Keith reached up, gripping Link's forearm just past the wrist in a practiced grab, and then used his other hand to grab on to some of the thick fur the creature had so he could pull himself up. If Link pulled to, that would be a good help in climbing up.

"Thanks."

Once on the back, he held that long fur to stay on, trying to get a sense of how this might work.

"I intend to see about herding them to the livestock nursery once we get back to town. Will take some doing but we'll manage. Figure maybe they'll get on with the glownies. And I saw some space there for larger creatures."

HE doesn't know the herd broke out of there before.

Link does indeed pull. He might look small, with a slight build - but he's more than strong enough to help pull Keith up.

He cranes his next to look back at Keith, as he gets settled. "Hold on," he says - although he doesn't clarify whether he means to himself, or to the bantha - and then he kicks the bantha into a light walk.

"Hyah!"

Keith nodded.

"Alright. I'll help with the herding if you need it. Let me know."

The creatures were big, but Keith was pretty sure a large teleporting wolf could probably get them to move.

Keith nodded, choosing to use the creature's fur to hold on. That seemed solid enough, and there was plenty of it, after all. But this would give Keith the chance to get a feel for how it moved and an idea of how to handle it before attempting one on his own.

It was a good idea...

He didn't want to have to hear Lance complaining at him for getting hurt doing something reckless again. Not that riding one in general wouldn't be reckless, but at least he was trying to prepare himself before attempting it.

"Thanks man," Gladio says with a smile before pushing to his feet. "I should get back to the cockpit, to watch things a bit closer.

Link just lets the bantha walk for a bit, happy to ride in silence if Keith is too.

After a little while though, he’ll look back. Judge that Keith is doing okay. And then nudge the bantha into something a little faster with another “Hyah!”

Okay, so a slight warning would have been nice. At least, more than just Link looking back to check on him. But, sure... Keith managed to stay on, at least. He just wasn't great at being a passenger, and sudden changes controlled by other people were things he had issues with. But he managed to quell a sharp reaction.

Though, he did tighten his grip in response.

Unfortunately, communication and giving people a heads up about what he's doing isn't Link's strong suit.

In fact if anything Link's content to just keep on riding around in silence, enjoying the breeze and the novelty of being on such a large animal.

Unless Keith decides to pipe up, this could go on for a while.

Keith wasn't exactly sure what Link had in mind, but it slowly became clear as they moved along and didn't stop. Keith wasn't great at communication, either, but, as it got longer into the ride, he was starting to have some questions.

"So, uh... you have a particular destination in mind?"

Link shrugs. No, not any particular destination. Link's more than happy to ride for the sake or riding. Or just to eventually find something interesting, that will inevitably distract him.

But maybe for Keith, it's a bit different. "You want to go somewhere?"

Keith shrugged. "I didn't really have anything in mind. Though, I wouldn't mind giving one of these a try myself. Are they generally pretty docile?"

Link shrugs. He's never encountered these beasts before today. He's not exactly familiar with them; at least, not anymore than Keith.

Though, if Keith wants to try taking the reins...Link gets to his feet, standing on the bantha's back. Leaps up, somersaulting backwards over the top of Keith - before landing right behind him, seated once more.

Now, Keith's the one in front - and the reins are there for him to take.

Keith looked up in surprise as Link stood. Granted, the creature was massive, so it wasn't like they didn't have room, but-

Keith stared at the empty spot for a second, the creature meandering along for a few more steps before finally just stopping because no one was encouraging it to keep moving.

He blinked slowly, and then- oh, right! Need to guide the creature!

"Ah-!" He shifted, moving forward to grab the reins so it didn't just start wandering off into the wilderness with them and get them lost or something.
