[ In Person ]

[ Ash and Pikachu have followed one of the piglet-squirrels up a rather tall tree in his attempt to befriend the thing. The problem though is the higher up he is the less weight the branches can take and the one he's seated on snaps quickly under his weight, Pikachu's weight and the Piglet-Squirrel's weight ]

[ Before the three of them plummet back to the ground below, Ash is able to grab hold of a branch and the piglet-squirrel with a quick "Gotcha!" He cradles it gently in a protective hold against his chest. The poor thing is a bit shaken. ]

[ Pikachu, in the meantime, Is holding onto Ash's shoulder, also a little shaken because this is not a great position for them to be in. What if the other branch snaps? Ash could probably pretty easily pull them up again if he had use of his other arm but since it's currently occupied by their new friend Pikachu's not really sure what to do. He can't call out Ash's other Pokemon for help because they're not here. What he wouldn't give for Bulbasaur or Bayleaf's vine whip right about now. The only thing he can do for now is to climb up to the branch above so at least Ash doesn't have both their weights to worry about- not that Pikachu is particularly heavy. ]

[ Ash is pretty confident that if he were to let go it might be uncomfortable but it won't hurt too bad. He's more worried about the creature he's got tucked up against him. He can't stay like this forever though and Pikachu is getting a little frantic with his concerned 'chuuu's. Maybe, he can swing just a little to the right and drop on to a lower branch. ]

Pikapi...

[ Ash can feel how worried his best friend is but he really doesn't want the piglet-squirrel to get hurt which is the only reason he hasn't tried one of his two ideas yet. He feels Pikachu's little hands grip his arm and pull. But while Pikachu is plenty strong for its species, Ash is a human boy and still much too heavy for him. ]

Don't over do it, Pikachu.

[ Ash tells him and Pikachu stops his desperate pulling. That Felwinter person had told them to call if they needed anything- this probably counted. He takes a chance and carefully climbs back down to reach Ash's back pocket that would usually house the pokedex but now holds the communication device he was given. It takes some doing but Pikachu is able to pull it out and after nearly dropping it, gets it Ash's hand. ]

Thanks buddy!

[ Ash tells as he tries to work the thing with one hand-now especially difficult due to his extra passenger. ]

[ Network Post ]

[ The angle's a little.. weird. There's something fluffy in the corner of the camera but it's much too close to tell what it is. Ash is sort visible-mostly it's his blue and white shirt that can be seen but he manages to tilt the camera so he can look down at it. ]

I got kinda stuck. Can someone get me down?

[ he's not nearly as frantic as maybe someone might expect a ten year old trapped in a tree would be. In fact, he seems relatively calm. Maybe there's a bit of an edge in his voice but that's about it. ]

[Radley is very concerned to see this post, but he keeps calm to respond.]

Where are you?

[ashwantstobattle]

[ Ash's shoulder is starting to sting but not enough he's ready to give up so he'll just hang out where he is for a little while longer. ]

Um.. in a tree?

[ Maybe he should have paid more attention to which direction he was going. ]

[crystalmaster]

... Okay, but where's the tree?

[ashwantstobattle]

[ Yeah, that's a problem he didn't really think too much about. This is the exact reason no one ever puts him in charge of navigation. ]

I.. don't really know? There's a buncha water nearby?

Pikapi... [ Pikachu's voice can he heard somewhere off screen. ]

[crystalmaster]

... Maybe it's the lake then? I'll try heading out there.

[ashwantstobattle]

Sure! I'm not going anywhere.

[ He sounds a little too cheerful considering the situation. ]

Ya see? We're gonna be just fine.

[ He assures the piglet-squirrel he's refusing to let fall. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley keeps talking to Ash while leaving his location and heading for the lake.]

So how did this happen?

[ashwantstobattle]

Oh that-the branch we were sitting on broke. I was able to keep us from falling all the way but now if I try to pull myself back up I'd have to let go of our new friend and that's not an option.

[ If he falls, he falls. But he'll be sure to make certain that he takes the brunt of it and not Pikachu or the critter he's currently protecting. ]

Pika... [ Pikachu's voice can still be heard. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley had meant how had he got up the tree to begin with, so he's still confused.]

Ah. So you went up the tree to rescue an animal or something?

[And this sounds like the current situation is pretty precarious. He picks up his pace.]

[ashwantstobattle]

Nah, nothing like that. We were just following it around but I guess the branch wasn't strong enough for all three of us.

[ He winces slightly because that slight ache in his shoulder is getting worse but he's not letting go anytime soon. ]

Pikachu?

Yeah, I'm fine. [ Ash insists. ] My shoulder's just feeling a little tight, no big deal!

In person

...uh. You okay there?

[They can totally be forgiven for missing the purple-clothed figure with green skin who comes upon them. They kind of seem a bit preoccupied anyway.

Donatello looks up at them, brow arching.]

[ashwantstobattle]

Man, this is really starting to hurt...

[ By this point, his shoulder is really starting to ache and he's really only still holding to the branch due to his stubborn desire to not let any of his friends get hurt-new or not. ]

Pika?

[ Pikachu's ears twitch when he hears someone's voice. He's not bound by the same problem as Ash is and is easily able to run back down the tree. Maybe they can help? ]

Pikapika! Pikapi, Pikachu! [ Pikachu gestures frantically up at where Ash is still just... hanging. ]

[thepurpleone]

....

[It appears the little yellow creature is attempting to communicate with him. Donnie squints at Pikachu before looking up at the kid. He sighs, his breath leaving a streaming wisp that hangs in the air for a moment before dissipating.]

Well, seeing as there are no firemen handy I guess I'll have to fill in.

[He makes some estimations of the height and figures having the kid let go in an attempt to just catch him probably won't work out well with gravity factored in. Turning, he looks at the tree and the nearest branch. Looks manageable at least.]

Okay, sit tight. [The turtle teen steps over to the tree and starts clambering up to the first branch. At least from there he should be able to jump up to others pretty easily.]

[crystalmaster]

Oh.

[Yikes.]

Okay, I'm coming to the lake now. Do you see me?

[He looks around for trees. He knows at least part of the lake doesn't have any.]

[ashwantstobattle]

Pika!

[ Pikachu lets out triumphant noise and then dashes back up the tree to wait by Ash, though he's careful not to stand on the branch Ash is holding on to. ]

[ As for Ash well, he's a little embarrassed that he's managed to get himself in this situation but he won't let it dampen his spirits-after all, he's got a new friend! ]

Yeah, I'll.. do that. [ He sighs and then looks at the piglet-squirrel. ] See? Nothing to worry about, we'll be back down before ya know it.

Know what, I'm not even gonna ask.

[Did the kid try to rescue...his pet? Another pet? And then get stuck? That makes the most sense to Donatello anyway as he pauses a moment. At least Ash looks okay.

Nodding to himself, he looks at the next branches up before foregoing any more climbing to leap onto the next one, then up again, keeping close to the trunk where the branches are sturdier.]

[ashwantstobattle]

[ Most of Ash's vision is obstructed by the tree but he tries to manage something. ]

Uh? I don't think so, I don't hear anyone either. Wait, I've got an idea-Pikachu, you think you can lead Radley here?

Pi? Pika pikachu chuuu. [ Pikachu shakes his head. ]

I'm fine, really. But I won't be if I don't find someway to get down from here-I can hold on until you get back. [ Ash assures his friend who's still not so sure about leaving Ash on his own but as soon as Ash insists he agrees with a reluctant 'Pika...' and runs down the tree to try and find Radley. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley looks around for Pikachu and soon sees him coming. He runs over.]

Hey there!

[ashwantstobattle]

[ Nope. He was just following a wild animal around and then got them both into danger. Not his finest moment. ]

Pikapi, Pikachu? [ Pikachu asks, worry clear in it's voice. ]

No need to worry about me buddy, I'm just fine. [ His arm hurts and he's not dressed for cold weather at all so he might be lying but he manages it with sure confidence it's really hard to tell. ]

[ashwantstobattle]

Pikachu! [ Pikachu rushes up on all fours, moving at speeds that might be pretty impressive and comes to an abrupt stop when he finds Radley. ]

Pikapi, pikachu! [ The little yellow mouse points in the direction he'd come and then shoots off again to find that same tree. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley is startled by the speed, but he doesn't have time to really marvel at it. He hurries after Pikachu to find the tree.]

Ash?

[thepurpleone]

[At least it isn't too much longer before Donnie's made his way to a branch just below Ash, stopping again to reassess the situation.]

How long've you been hanging there? I'd ask if you can manage to swing but...

No never mind, I'll just go up one more and pull you up.

[And up he hops, grabbing onto the branch just a ways from Ash, hauling himself up. He stays crouched as he moves closer to where the kid dangles, reaching a weirdly three-digited hand out for him.]

Here, can you grab a hold?

[ashwantstobattle]

Pi-Kachu! [ Pikachu finds the tree again and dashes up to where Ash is, careful to avoid the danger branch. ]

See? I'm fine. [ Ash greets his long term friend and then winces at the pain in his shoulder. He wants to shift his grip but he knows that he can't. ]

[ He hears Radley's voice and glances down-it's not super high up but high enough falling would probably get him and his new found friend hurt. It's hard to suppress a shudder. ]

Radley? Yeah, I'm here!

[ashwantstobattle]

I dunno... a while. [ He admits, desperately wishing there was someway to switch arms. ]

Pika! [ Pikachu says insistently from the branch he's perched on. ]

Can't. [ Ash shakes his head. ] If I do that, this guy might fall and I don't want him to get hurt.

[ he indicates to the piglet-squirrel that's tucked against him. It looks a little scared but at least it seems like it's okay with being cradled against this child that had decided to follow it. ]

[Radley comes over and looks up.]

Oh wow. That's a rough position. Can you hand your buddy to me or would he not like that?

[He examines the tree, wondering if he can climb up.]
