Okay, Tommy here. Been working in the Temba Greenhouse for a bit, trying to figure out what we can do about all the shit going on here. So many fucking plants.

So, gonna share what I've picked up so far.

In the past, I've had trouble with off-world plants that were planted out in the city rather than the greenhouses. Lots of weird growths on them, that didn't seem to be part of the normal plant. But it's only in the cities. I'm guessing that maybe there's some, I don't know, pollution or some shit that is tainting the land.

Can pollution do that?

Anyway, things in the greenhouse seem perfectly fine. Though I've found more of those little mushrooms with legs here lately. They seem to tell when I'm coming and flee. I don't get it. I didn't used to see them so much.

Anyway, is anyone good with chemistry? Maybe if it's something in the soil, we can come up with something to counter it? There's gotta be something going on here, something in the greenhouse, that could explain what the difference is. Some sort of industrial level, biological sort of 'plant growth inhibitor' or 'plant stay calm' juice or something.

What all are people seeing out there?

Oh, by the way, if you're in trouble, try and ping me. I'm definitely slowed down by shit in the city, but I've got the energy for some explosions in an emergency and that can help.

So, what other knowledge have people gathered? Because fuck, I don't wanna live in the worst play at overgrown horror-terror jungle. It's just not fun.

Pollution..? I'm not sure I follow. Are the plants...sick? Or do you mean like some kind of mutation? I can't say I'm much of an expert on plants. Kamino didn't really have any, so this is all very new to me.

I'm kind of stuck at Echo's outpost- the exit's blocked by all the plants and I can't use Cayde's zipline to his clocktower because it's going up instead of down.

[Man, videos were so much slower for him, but when she sets up the connection, he confirms, and does his own video. He's a bit bruised, even a cut along his cheek. And he didn't seem bothered.]

I think mutation. But mutations can be caused by pollution and illness. So yes?

You need help getting out?

[That's not something she's immediately aware of, but she'd much rather see and hear whom she's speaking with, otherwise she would have been happy to oblige him.]

But what could be causing it? We haven't been here for a while, so wouldn't that have technically cut down on any pollution? Unless something was introduced into the environment when we were gone...

[She looks around.]

I think so. I can't really do much here, but I don't know what good I can do out there either. Echo told me not to try patrolling because of all the plants, and my bow's not much good for that anyway.

I don't know. It's never happened before. I've been working so hard since we got here the first time, and nothing like this has happened.

[He throws up his hands in frustration.]

I'm not a biologist or botanist or any sort of 'ist' and I don't know how to fix this. But I'm trying. There has GOT to be an answer.

But we could all probably use a little help. I'm sorta beat up right now, and if I am, others probably are. We could use all healing hands on deck. Say the word and I'll pull a rescue op. You can stay in the greenhouse. It's pretty safe. If you don't mind little mushroom people.

But you have the agriculture data point at least, don't you? It's still more than most of us have. You might not know how to fix things, but you can identify the differences. Maybe we can find something common in the mutations?

[At least she can do things at the greenhouse. It'll be more to move around than up here.]

I don't think I've gotten to see them up close. But I don't want you coming here if you're tired! I'm not in any real trouble- but I do want to help if I can.

Yeah, I do. And I've had it almost exclusively since the start. And I'm trying. I just, I don't know. It's like they're all changing in ways I can't understand. It's so frustrating.

[And no one was here to teach him more of how plants work. That's not all of what the Agricultural datapoint did for him.]

I'm not as tired as I might be, especially if a princess needs saving from a tower.

It must be something newly introduced, then. Which I'm not sure is much better.

[She made a bit of a face.]

I think what I really need is a gardener. I wonder if those droids at the home in Sh'Ka would have helped here?

I haven't been able to get to Sh'Ka. The train isn't running and I can't fly.

[Nor, in the face of all of this, is he going to give up his datapoint. It's useless if he goes there and he can't do something to help them.]

If you can find an engineer, I can try and escort you guys there?

Bruno's a pilot- oh, I hope he's okay...

[The man was skittish and she's not sure how he'd handle this kind of a predicament.]

Engineers, engineers... [She taps a finger against her chin.] -well I can't do much either way, here. Where should I wait for you?

Bruno?

[He doesn't remember that guy much, but maybe they can figure that out. After he recovers her.]

If you can get in touch with Bruno, do so. I'm going to come and help you, kiddo. Do you know how to ping your location for me to find. I need as much exact detail as possible.

[A nod.]

Awesome. I'll... I'll be there when I'm there.

[He frowns, clearly thinking about it now.]

So, um, I'm going to cut this off in a moment and then I'll let you know when I get there. Be ready.

All right. I'll be waiting.

[She gives him a nod. The moment he signs off, she's going to start getting some things together. No telling when she'll be able to get back, so she wants to make sure she has everything she might need.]

[Two hours. That's how long it takes the speedster to win his way to the location he needs to be on, and Tommy just sends a small message to the girl. Damn but he's tired. He hadn't been so tired before, but right now, damn. Damn he was tired.]

[Echo's outpost isn't far from the lake, in fact just across from it, and right next door to the clocktower Cayde had claimed long ago.

Two hours is more than enough time for Omega to have gathered her things and double and triple check them. She's making use of the useful beltpack she'd gotten with the outfit provided to her from their Eorzea excursion, but has her bow on her back and the handmade bag she'd made at the faire slung over her shoulder, Lula peaking out from it.

She responds promptly once she gets the message ping. Should she wait by the blocked door? Or maybe try climbing from one of the upper windows?]

I know plants can suffer or something if they aren't in their natural environment. Which...a whole other planet? Definitely could do something weird???

I think radiation does stuff too, but I don't know how to check for that... Hopeful nothing/no one is radioactive, 'cause that would mean bad things for us too...

There's some plants and stuff that we can use for cures, they're like...in my head, but I don't know which ones they are? Maybe you can help me find them? I don't really know how to describe them, they're just like...plants, you know?

Yeah, but a lot of this **I DON'T REMEMBER US PLANTING**. Like, that would explain the Jedi Temple shit, but not the rest, right? So, can you like, magic up radiation detection or something? Or ask Tony to explain what he'd need and THEN you try and magic it up?

Agriculture comes with IDing stuff. Teleport yourself over here and I'll help you find them.

Maybe stuff is mutating? Or...cross breeding? The Agricultural stuff doesn't cover plants suddenly going nuts, right? That's not a normal thing here?

"Yeah, that's 'cause you draw better than me," Billy answered, abruptly behind Tommy and conjuring a pad and paper.

"You and Teddy, I swear, you give a guy a complex," he teased, attempting to sketch out what he knew could be made into medicines.

He passed over the pad with an apologetic look. "I dunno if that'll help at all."

Shit! He just popped in and Tommy absolutely doesn't jump half a foot in shock. ~~He totally does~~.

"I also have more time than you. Or anyone. And it's not my fault I'm on a wavelength with your boyfriend-husband," Tommy shrugged. But he does watch what Billy's up to.

"Alright. I have general ideas. I can take you through to see if anything looks right?"

[Well, she's not coming out yet. He guesses... he should do something.]

YO OMEGA!

[Shouting is totally gonna work, right?]

You don't have to yell..!

[She pokes her head out of one of the windows on the next floor up, shoving at some of the vines that string across the edges.]

The door's stuck, I'm going to... I'll see if I can climb from here.

[At least the vines would be good for something!]

[But it had worked right? He's grinning up at her.]

Jump! I'll catch you.

[Omega's already making her way out the window. She considers what he says.]

Okay-

[Finding a place to plant her feet, she hangs onto the window, easing away.]

Here I go!

[And she pushes off, releasing her grip.]

[Advantages of speedsters? Sometimes gravity has less of a thing than it could be. He smiles, backs up a step, and then races up the side of the tower. He catches Omega while she's still falling, turns around, and runs back down to the ground. There it was. Success. Though when he gets them down to the ground he's panting in exhaustion.]

There you go. All out.

[Well, that, she hadn't expected.]

That was amazing! -you can put me down, I can walk just fine now, thank you.

[He smiles and puts Omega down. That helps. He resists staggering.]

I'm glad you approve. We should get moving through. I could use a snack.

[She digs into her bag and holds up a small pouch of cookies she'd saved from Eorzea.]

[Never thought he'd be thinking this, but thank fuck for the Communications data point. Dustin's not comfortable with being a known entity on the network yet, and it would've been a real pain in the ass to try and make his way to the greenhouse on short notice, so having the knowledge planted into his head of how to do things anonymously here is a huge weight off his shoulders. He seriously doubts it'll keep the Agrii from being able to trace his identity and location still, but it's a start, right?]

Everyone that has a painted stone piece from Eorzea needs to bring it to the Temba memorial. I have reason to believe that they came from there, and that this has something to do with the storms.

What do you mean ‘related to the storms’?

[Fair enough.]

Based on the existing sections and the sections currently added from Eorzea, the mural appears to be a crude pictographic history of Temba. This includes something that would imply a storm over a city. That was on a pair of Eorzean pieces, so it follows that other pieces of the same source might have more information on how the storms drove out the Agrii, or the circle of events that lead to the storms occurring in the first place.

Huh, really? Shit, those things GO somewhere? I’ll have to check it out when there are less, you know, plants around. I can’t keep wasting tons of energy on killing the things with explosions. I’m fucking tired.

I don’t know that I know someone who has one. If Billy did he could just teleport there.

Then that's another option to transport the pieces to the mural without you needing to exert yourself.

[Never mind that Tommy said he wanted to go there himself...why would he want to do that? Just to look?? Dustin barely even registers that as a priority or his concern.]

As his older brother, I’m not exactly going to send him off alone where it might be unsafe. And if I don’t go, then I can’t see it.

[There it is. Dustin balks at his tablet screen; what exactly would someone like Tommy do with that information? Maybe he's just curious? What a weird request.]

I'm assuming he can't teleport you there at the same time.

[Why can't knowing what the mural had on it be worth it? knowledge for knowledge sake or something.]

Then it sounds like you've solved your own problem.

Nah, not really. I don't want him to, you know, get hurt because of me. That's not what you let family do.

[Dustin types out 'I wouldn't know,' stares at it for a minute, deletes it and closes the conversation. This is getting way too sentimental for his tastes.]
