Well what else did Tony think he meant? Felwinter merely ignored Tony's complaints, drawing his hand back. He squeezed his hand around the growing orb of energy as though to crush it, the resulting seeming to force it inwards that he absorbed it.

He let his descent pick up speed, throwing his glowing hand forward to sweep through the plantlife there. They shriveled and blackened, disintegrating like dust, little by little giving way to the large stone centerpiece beneath.

Tony might want to be careful on his way down. The levels were not exactly steps, meant to be taken in a gradual path down, spaces wide enough along the stone-lined way for small gatherings of a sort.
